Morning friends,I still think if Bernie Sanders would've gotten a makeover before running that he would've had a better chance, truth is he looks too old even though he's not much older than DT or Hilary, most people are into image and looks especially for people in the public, look at poor Lady Gaga getting body shamed over one tiny flap of skin horrible mean tweets calling her fat?!?! Its a shame,in a bleh mood this morning, every weirdo on earth came into the shop yesterday, I'd hafta get through one only to deal with the next one being weird, first of the month is always like that, Star,I hope your son gets the job! Cyn,at least the snow is giving you a workout Lav,that's cute about the boy scout uniform, ugh,off to face this day, hope we have a peaceful AF Thursday

    Good morning...

It snowed here, a big 2 inches, I love the weather down here. I know I have lived her over two years, but still, the milder winters are so much easier on me. My son is really depressed, it is hard to take, even though it happens on a regular basis, as his life blows up on him and we have to bail him out. And he doesn't even do anything bad or wrong, just has ongoing money and job problems. Send him light, he has another second interview today, I pray that he gets a job, please. Other than that, doing well, but that is a big one. Life seems to always send us some challenge, darn.

Lav, love the activism, the gov't is so bent on getting their way, insulting people, being rude is normal for them. I was listening to NPR and heard Bernie Sanders fighting back, he is a little bull dog. Never gives up, and we can't either. Nice to hear your chickens are safe, well fed and warm.

Pauly, the political issues are so widespread, we had a discussion at work and some people may have been upset, offended. Don't really know. I do not remember a time this divisive. Someone said to me that if you are not upset, it is because you come from a place of such privilege. Interesting thought. I still don't understand how the POTUS gets away with not putting his businesses in a trust, look at his daughter and wife, they clearly want to make more money, like they don't have enough. Hey, excited for you to find out your food sensitivities and see how you feel when you make changes.

Hi Nora, this time of year is hard, you have alot to deal with, stop by anytime, we are happy to hear from you. There are free meditation apps, download some and see what you like. I feel better after a short meditation. Here's another meta meditation: I am filled with loving kindness, I am safe from inner and out danger, I am well in mind and body, I am at ease and happy. First to your self, then a loved one, then an acquaintance, then someone with a difficult relationship, then to the world. Lovely practice.

Cyn, glad a tincture helped your doggie, the poor thing. The cold and snow and ice is hard on them too. I am at 171 days today and will be six months on the 18th I believe. I am just so much better being AF, I just wish I had lost weight, I am eating healthy and staying the same. It must be age or maybe lack of exercise. I just have a hard time finding time to work out with working full time. I am tired at night and my commute is 45 minutes each way. When spring comes, I can walk at night, so that will help. Anyway, just so grateful to be AF.

    Have a great AF Thursday.

    Evening all -

Pauly, congrats on your test getting done! Sorry that you have so little time for a good lunch, that is hard on you and your body. Good for you for always trying to feel better.

Lav, I have a mental image of you standing at the coop door and patiently explaining the snow situation to the chicks - ha! Loved that, needed i a laugh. My girl was drinking water like crazy and very anxious, having accidents. I found a tincture for her adrenals, and she's much better, thank goodness! Hope Maxie continues to do well.

Star, that meditation sounds awesome! I keep reminding myself that we are truly creating our future by our behavior today; we don't want a perpetually stressed future, so your meditation sounds right. Aren't you coming up on an anniversary soon? You are doing great.

Liz, how are you? Ready to get the snow tomorrow? Hope you don't have to go into work.

Nora, so nice to see you! There's lots of crucial activities out there - it feels good to me to be active... I guess better than paralyzed! Good luck to you.

Very tired and achey tonight (could it be the hours of shoveling the snow cone chunks out of the way to be ready for the next snow? Hmmmmm). Going to turn in, but I'm wishing all on this thread and all on their AF journeys very well.
    To the light...

    Good evening folks!

Hump Day is almost over already, geez!
I think we are ready for this snowstorm, chickens are fed & watered & I tried to explain to them that they are likely to be cooped up for several days & they should try to be nice to each other, ha ha!

Star, the meta exercise sounds nice - whatever helps right now, right?
I started off my day by emailing both of our state senators!! One of them is great, the other is a GOP handmaiden.
When I heard what the GOP did to Liz Warren, I almost lost it
How dare they essentially tell her to shut up & sit down! I will continue to make calls & write emails until people gain some common sense & respect.

Nora, follow me around Facebook & see how I am fighting back. I am not about to let these cretins take away our self respect & hard earned rights without a massive fight. Follow Robert Reich - the voice of reason in this crazy political atmosphere.

Pauly, I am anxious to hear about your test results. I hope this gives you some insight & you can begin modifying your diet so you can feel your best.

Hello to Cyn, hope you are OK up there in the ice & snow. Thinking about you.

Wishing everyone a warm & peaceful night!

    Lav

Just saying hi. Meditation sounds nice. I know that I have really been having a hard time staying positive lately. I tried avoiding the news. But, I can't put my head in the sand. Trying to find positive ways to help and fight these things that are important to me. Sigh........
Oh well. Just wanted to say hello.

Morning friends,Star, the meditation sounds nice Kell has a client who's a therapist and he is scared of DT and said his practice is skyrocketing with patients depressed and anxious about DT too,I told hubs last night that I think the election had to be rigged somehow, sooooo many people hate this guy,can it really be true that so many people voted him in? Whatever happened to the investigation into the Russian hackers?something just seems fishy to me,I'm trying not to dwell but holy smokes it seems something new goes on daily and I do follow DT on Twitter just to read his dumb shit, its all petty little things that no normal person would care about,he's just so ego driven he dwells on any little criticism, OK I'm done.....Lav,its gonna be 78 here on Thursday!! I already feel like gardening,I'm hoping it cools down again though cuz if not its gonna feel like a looooong summer,Cyn,I wish you'd have posted your original rant yesterday I understand not wanting to get too worked up though, made nice veg and chicken for lunch yesterday, however its hard to eat up there so I usually take something I can hold like a sandwich or lean cuisine pizza, just cuz I eat when I can and if keep forking it in I eat too fast! Wishing us all a happy AF Wednesday

    Good morning...

Pauly, wow, talk about side effects, ADs are definitely not for you. Again, we all have to fine our own way. Tough week for me this week, just tired, and kind of blah, that's February for me. Hope you have a good day.

Lav, this weather is alot of up and down, we are supposed to get snow too, later today, we'll see. I just dress in layers. Politics is so crazy right now, very corrupt and bad for our country and the world. 45 is a hot mess. Three deep breathes sounds good. I attended a mindfulness exercise yesterday, very relaxing, it was a meta exercise, "I am happy, I am healthy, I am comfortable and at peace," then direct it outward. It was very nice. I was in deep delta or theta at the end. Loved it. Glad to hear you and your daughter are able to hang out and be close, very nice. I will drink more tea today, good idea.

Cyn, we are charged with taking care of the earth and each other, 45 is just out for himself and his rich buddies, they have control and the people of the US voted them in, that is the scariest part. I am fighting the dark cloud and pushing it away, but it keeps coming back, very discouraging, but you are right, staying AF, working hard, being grateful for the good, that is what we can do right now. Hope the weather improves for you today, keep safe and warm.

    -Peace-

    Good evening friends,

Weird day of clouds & sun but it hit 59 degrees. Tomorrow it's going to 63 then it starts snowing sometime after midnight. That's just so messed up.

Star, a day or two of bad eating juts plain hurts me anymore. Drink lots of tea - seems to help me.

Pauly, no more ADs until you have tried everything else first
Clean eating, avoiding the foods you are sensitive to, fresh air & exercise, decent vitamins & a positive attitude will likely do the trick!

Cyn, sorry about the ice up your way. I think we are in for that after the snow on Thursday & Friday.
Most of us are feeling the effects of this political disaster, you are not alone. Most of my conversation with my daughter today was centered on politics. I get text messages almost every day from YB's younger brother who is also concerned about all this. These brothers are very different in their beliefs apparently. When I feel myself getting overwhelmed with it all I stop & center myself with 3 very long, deep breaths. Anything we can do to preserve our sanity, right?

The good news is Maxie had no accidents today. She is usually just fine but gets rather confused at night - sundowner's syndrome maybe.

Wishing everyone a pleasant & warm evening!

    Lav

    Hi all -

In the middle of an ice storm here. I go out every hour or so and try to chop safe passage for the dogs to relieve themselves. Lav, so sorry about Maxie's accident, dear me.

Wow. I have steeled myself for bad days, but this one just keeps getting worse and worse.
We are charged with taking care of the earth and taking care of each other... apparently that is not the guiding light for this admin. This is really like looking into the heart of darkness. But work will continue, no matter how dark it gets. No flinching here.
Looking for the light tonight... maybe the sky will clear and the stars will come out.

    Good morning...

Lav, your poor doggie and poor you having to do the clean-up. Rain here too today, better than snow. I ate lots of junk over the weekend, and I had a tough day yesterday physically, so I totally agree with you about eating lightly and well. Geez, when will I learn.

Pauly, hope you get the results soon. I think feeling good is not as easy as taking an AD, but for some it works, others it does not. If I eat poorly, I get sick, and it has changed over the years.

Hello to Cyn and Liz. Have a good one.

    Good evening friends,

Well, I started my Monday at 6:30 am cleaning up after an incontinent 14 year old dog, yuck
I hope this doesn't become routine for her because I just don't have the energy......
My day did improve a bit after that mess though, ha ha.
Looking forward to hanging out with my daughter tomorrow although I think we are in for a rain day - better than snow

Hi Star, hope your day was good!

Pauly, I am anxious to hear about your test results & what you can do to help yourself feel better.
By now you know I am a firm believer in eating as cleanly as possible to feel my best. I was around your age when it really hit me that 'something' was going on & I needed to make some changes. Honestly, we can develop allergies & food intolerances at any age. The hard part is learning to accept that we just cannot eat anything & everything any more. You will be OK working hard

Cyn, I know you are working hard for a good cause. I hope everything is going well for you.

Hello to anyone else dropping in tonight.
    Have a peaceful night everyone!

    Lav

*Disclaimer, I'm not saying that AD's don't work for some people,I know they're helpful to a certain %of people if its a chemical imbalance or something, I just feel docs should get a whole picture of a person first
