I dont feel shame just a little cross that I didnt do things a little differently after all my experience. Also the fact that the bankers who have almost collapsed the Irish economy and brought it to the brink to the tune of tens of billions will never be held accountable in a court of law.
Now because of the bail outs there are so many cut backs in other areas and the vulnerable in our society are paying the price for the banker fat cats greed, today and our children will be paying for it for years to come. I do understand the need for the banking system to be propped up, for there is no choice but those guilty should be held accountable.

Well I'm expecting you all at my house on the 23rd November as it's me Silver Wedding Anniversary.

I could do with some new towels, a set of casserole dishes, another cruet set, some table mats, cuddly toy and a trouser press. If you were thinking of bringing pressies.

Hi there. Starty I was thinking of you and your Mum and just wanted to say hi. From what I read at the start of the thread, it sounds like she is peaceful and that is a wonderful thing.

On the topic of parental choice....my Dad has been going through some serious health issues for quite some time. It was *my* opinion that Mom and Dad should do this, that, and the other with their living arrangements, etc. I was very frustrated that they did not see how much more fabulous their life would be if they only did it my way. Through a lot of wisdom from people on this forum and also others like my AA sponsor, I now see that they are fully capable of making their own choices without me inserting my unwanted / unrequested opinions. I have learned to be at peace with their choices and just enjoy whatever time we have together. FWIW...

Hope the Army is marching soundly forward!
