Say howdy y'all. I'm just sitting here on the swing on the porch of our North Carolina B&B,sipping on a long Iced tea, freshly made by the proprietress of the establishment, enjoying a breeze that takes the edge off the 30 degree temperature
We have got a bit sick of chain budget hotels so tonight splashed out on a nice B&B. wait til you see the photos - I feel like we are in a museum! Totally antebellum south- I feel like a grubby colonial:H:HNever give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

Ah, very good Techie. Love it.
Lunch with a drummer mate today, after a run and dip in the bay. I also run on the sand (constantly changing surface dynamic, good for ankles and lungs) as opposed to the non shuka bag wearing, man bag purse carrying daffodils that run on the concrete path (reliable stable footing, boring and easy) so their shoes don't get dirty. Am expecting the usual 'ooooh's and aahhhh's as I emerge from the sea and walk back to the sand. It's always the same whispers and speculation.....'Hey! it's Daniel Craig!' 'No, no, wait......it's Crocodle Dundee!' I suppose you get used to it.

Techie - did you know loons mate for life. I said once during a D&M session with my dear mum that at times I feel like a lonely loon on the lake of life. She roared laughing and said "oh Nicey, just get over yourself". She used to refer to that little saying of mine quite often - which actually displeased me 'cos I was spilling my guts, so to speak and she thought it was h.i.l.a.r.i.o.u.s. FH is back at his post for the second day. Half way through yesterday he threatened he was taking another day off today. I was supportive on the phone whilst rolling my eyes and pulling weird faces at his ranting. So, he wet down his hair and parted it in the middle, put a hanky in his pocket and set off on time this morning. I'm loving having my mornings to myself again. I didn't realise how much I had missed the absolute serenity of going through my morning ablutions alone.

Oh, meant to tell yous but don't tell anyone else please. I have a m.a.s.s.i.v.e coldsore on my top lip, left hand side. If anyone asks what's the go I'm gonna say my botox went a bit skewy. I HATE the thought of coldsores......ewwww!!!!! Hopefully the botox story will throw them off track and they'll think quietly to themselves - "oh thank goodness she doesn't have one of the yukky coldsore things happening".
Ok that's my rant over for now.
