Underoos - May May be a gentle month ...

tawnyfrog;1502765 wrote: So sad I can't see Oscar. Apparently I don't have permission or some such shit. Can't do catch-up tv and I think it must be because I'm on satellite.

Is anybody watching The Elegant Gentleman's Guide to Knife Fighting on the ABC? Made by the team who did A Moody Christmas. On at 9.30 so past my usual bed time but I'm going to make a concerted effort to stay up. Getting brilliant reviews and sounds hysterical.
I've seen enough of the previews to make me think I'm missing out on something. But geez, one big night for Revenge a week is killing me...maybe I need to rethink priorities. Will wait for your review.

    Reading today whilst working..

        Nighty night, Undies.

Tawny, perhaps it is time for you to consider Melatonin again before the days get much shorter in Underoo land? Just remembering past years..

        Love the Proust quote.

Missy, are you enjoying Hotlanta? The aquarium there is very nice, although the one in Chattanooga is fun, too, with all the sea horses. Hope your brother is faring well.

Off to do an honest day's work here. Starting with taking hubby his cup of coffee in bed. He is so spoiled.

Morning all, hiya Cindi **waving** nice to have tuckage each night....how long til school finishes Birdy?

Off to yoga this morning and I'm taking it easy today I think. One locust in bed sick and the other up late doing assignments and up early still doing them. He said to me, I dont want to waste money on my studies, I need to get it right....I'm wondering where that attitude was when we were paying for his education?

            Anyway...have a good one all...

Morning Happs and all to come,

Cindi - thanks for the melatonin reminder.

Birdy - here's part of the article:

POTATO growers have been caught out re-dirtying washed spuds to hide imperfections and raise farmgate prices.

Industry bodies have confirmed the practice of "lipsticking" potatoes has been going on for decades.
The practice involves washing potatoes to grade them, sending the highest grade for the washed market, and then re-dirtying the blemished ones for the brushed market.

Victorian Farmers Federation Thorpdale branch manager and potato grower David Hotchkin said the practice had been going on for decades.

"It is sometimes done because the consumer is more attracted to potatoes out of red soil," Mr Hotchkin said.

"The brushed market almost always pays higher for red soil potatoes, so the temptation is to wash the grey soil off and replace it with red soil."

                  Morning Undies,

Giggled when I saw Australia is considering extending the "fat tax."

I love it when someone else decides what is and isn't good for me. Of course, I am not so good at it myself.

But, to add salt to the wound, I get taxed for my bad choices.

Thankyou Bridge. It was a little bit bland. I'm going to do the avocado thing again but with chicken. It looks quite good... presentation a bit different with it cut horizontally.
Just remember to cut a bit off the bottom so it sits flat.

                    Hello Birdy,
When I was there (and only for a very short time so am in no way qualified to say) I found the supermarkets stocked huge amounts of processed food and it looking at labels seemed to have fairly high amounts of sugar and salt... more than we have in our processed food. But a huge range to choose from. Bread is very sweet too compared to our bread. It's what our taste buds get used to I guess.

Loved the hamburgers at the bowling alley in Bishop Ca.

After having had my tooth extracted last week, I had another appt. with my dentist yesty, whereby with great skill he curetted an abscess on another tooth and cleaned it up. He informs me it's all a part of growing old......
As a reward for not being a woos, he's taking me to Biota tonight on our way to Wingello. Will be there Friday and Sat to do some work round the place, and lo! I may even have a couple of volunteers to help.

Haven't decided what I want to eat yet. Some of it sounds a bit of a wank.
