        I didn't notice the blackout. Makes me nervous though, 'cos I'd be lost wiff out yas. I did get an invite to a facey page that was set up last blackout, but I'm not sure about that.

        When I saw them I was just filled with admiration. Sooooo many people literally stopped and stared - unbelievable. She is so very tiny. What also stuck me was the capacity for not just the human body to come through something like that, but the strength and faith (in whatever - herself, the universe, a god....) she had to just carry on.

        Other news in Nicey land. A long while ago one of my cousin's husband won over $40K on a local radio station. She cleaned out the account once the money cleared and took off. Not very nice I said!! The husband still lives in the same place which happens to be around the corner from our new digs. Well, anyway and anyhow he won another $10K this morning guessing the secret sound on the same radio station. In fact that takes his tally to $70K as he is a radio junkie and totally loyal to this station and obviously has a keen ear. I think the big win was guessing about 10 songs and the artists in a row just from small snippits of each. He is the nicest bloke and we're regular 'poppers' now we are neighbours. I wonder if cuz will get a wiff of the win and return to the nest. You know they never divorced and she has gone to care for her dad in the country but she lives at the family home with him when she is in Sydney. He still adores her....... I reckon they'll grow old together, but how he forgave her is beyond me. See I'm not so Nicey......

        Got word this morning that I'm approved for the Dalai Lama event. Monday June 17th. I'll have to practice my 'stuff'......

        Oscar had dreams all night last night. He was running and yelping and snuffle uffling. He was v.bewildered when we all left for work. Lady Dharma has a hot water bottle in her outside bed today. Princess Lilly will just LOVE having the place to herself during the day again. She waved at the window with a smug grin on her face.

        Ok better get back to making things happen here at the command desk. Big sigh..... The hair yanker is in China for a bit - yeeeeehaaaaww!!

                  Hey folks. We're heading into the valley now. Should be home in 20mins. Carpooled with a few others. We are ok. There were some controlled burns going on in the area we hiked. We didn't see signage indicating it but we did enter the trail from an unused fire road. The entire state is under red flag and its been very dry. I'll post a few pics when I get back. The backseat of this SUV was roaring as we viewed Tawny's Naked Tueday. See you later.
