Have to add that the Tetley teas "Warm" and "Calm" are very yummy and on spesh in Coles at the moment...

hi all
there is some mushroom that grows here that is like lsd I guess...when I was younger a lot of people would trip on them...the armadillos and possums here have taken over, along with the fire ants. The armadillos have dug up almost all my garlic. Doing laundry and getting ready to head out tomorrow. We will spend 2 nights in a yurt, then off to Alaska...getting nervous, hate flying..

Orf to pick wild mushrooms down the coast today. Will defo be going in for a dip. There is a rally in protest of shark slayings innashnally for their fins here on Saturday outside parliament house. They reckon 63, 000,000 + sharks a year are killed for their fins. At that rate, you wonder if extinction is around the corner for these little fella's. Even a boofhead like me knows that we cannot continue to mess with our delicate ecological balance. Given that i'll be at the rally, and no longer eat flake, I shouldn't receive a nip on the thigh today.

Hello Undies!

Sorry to have been AWOL, but we have been pretty busy with family things over the last two weeks. Finally left the last of them about two days ago and we are now meandering down the eastern sea board of the US. We have about another week to go before we fly to VAncouver on the 6th to see some old friends. And sorry no photos - the cable that connects my camera to the computer got left behind in Sydney!!

But I was thinking about all our undie gardeners today - we spent most of the day in an area of Philadelphia that has the second to largest population of Amish and Mennonite people in th US ......... and I have tell you the gardens (flowers and vegies) were so magnificent that I was oohing and aahing may way around all morning :H:H I just loved them - they were not as pristine and "decorative" as a lot of the gardens that I have seen here, but just very simple and functional, with an emphasis on good food (for preserving as well as eating fresh), companion planting and medicinal herbs. It was a glorious sight to behold!!

We were at one place just as a baby goat was being born. The last of five to be born on that farm in the last two days. It was pretty magic.

We're avoiding cities from now on. I've really had enough of them. we are at coastal places for most of the next week, and planning on lots of long walks in an attempt to get rid of th weight that we have piled on :upset:

Have only had a short opportunity to read back, but everyone seems well and I think of you lots.

Well, you were right. Orange won. I was hoping Greens would get it. Didn't they drag it out though! All could've been over in 20 minutes.
Glad Richard and daughter didn't win.
