Nothing much to report except how exciting Birdy, holiday is coming around two days to go tomorrow?? Rags, I love your hair and TF, you are the queen of the shrooms, have a nice break Mr G ...and I bought some of the new Tetley tea bags which are quite prettily packaged and the locusts thought they were tampons...go figure...

Just had a look at the Tetley website at the packaging. If you kept your tea in the bathroom cupboard I could understand the misunderstanding.

Hello Undies. What began as a very somber Memorial Day at the Veterans Cemetery this morning took a rather positive turn. My hiking group raised $3K and we adorned as many grave markers as we could with lovely red, white, and blue wreaths. Volunteers (not sure who) were there very early on placing small American flags as well. Many of the cyclists from my Scottsdale group (which I've neglected since V) rode there to honor the fallen. A short ceremony sponsored by the American Legion & VFW brought tears to all in attendance.

Love you all. Now, I going to eat a steak, an ear of corn, and a huge pear & walnut salad. The ONLY thing I'll be missing is the labne :H

Sincere thanks for volunteering for the Veterans. When I saw pictures of Arlington today with all the flags, I teared up thinking that some kind soul had probably placed a flag on my dad's grave today. It makes me feel proud that so many Americans honor their fallen soldiers as they do.

I think possums are creepy, myself. The noises they make are very irritating, too. But, in my case, live and let live. I have taken on the armadillos, as they rip up so much yard it becomes dangerous, in their case I say, live and kill the suckers. Wondering if I will get to feel that way about the squirrels?

I've been thinking about our collective "wisdom" and realised that Ktabbers introduced us to Lurpak butter which has now become my staple. Rags first introduced most of us to the Spurtle - a kitchen tool I can no longer function without. Although Lilly knew what a spurtle was, she introduced us to the Yantra mat - another thingy I can't live without now. I know Blondie isn't a fan but.

So I'm telling youse Undies ... get the Oyster mushroom kit. They grow before your very eyes. Bloody magic.

Cindi/Rags - I was thinking the same re armadillos - thought they were desert dwellers!

Mushrooms - like mussels and prawns for me - sometimes I love them and sometimes I can't stand them (due to the texture) Love Lurpak but use NZ's Mainland butter and cheese. And I hope the greens win too - not on for another hour or so, so don't tell me.
