I think? I've sometimes talked about a young thing who came into my life lots of years ago - not at all related but we sort of clicked. I think she was doing Year 10 when I first met her and she's now got her MBA, married and living in the States. So today she sends me an email with a photo attached which said:

"I just wanted you to know that today I wore this necklace to work. Do you remember it? You gave it to me with some other jewelry when I was in year 12. I got compliments on it from half the women in the office. They all admired the aging of the silver and commented that it looked Indian.

It made me feel lovely and cultured today. And happy knowing that it was a gift from a lovely cultured woman.

Thank you."

That just made me cry and cry my big head off. Missy had a lovely Maori word for a significant woman in your life (which unfortunately I can't recall). That email made me feel like a significant woman today.

'Shroom report - that cluster yielded 190g and made a fabulous sauce over a steak. It would be enough for mushies on toast for two but certainly wouldn't feed a family. Unless I get a second crop it's not cost effective at $20 + $8 postage but for the pure enjoyment value I think it's worth doing. Young (and old) kids would throb it.

We're having an exceptionally fine day here - brilliant sunshine, light breeze and 22C.
