                      Evening all,

Who's Colonel Angus? Some porno star?

Hey Bridge. Do you remember that night in the Cross when we sat at the fountain and meditated? No, nor do I, but it's on you bloody tube! Geez, you look noice in yer ugg boots and flanny though......:h

Went into the big smoke today and had a squiz at the art gallery of vic. NGV. The Asian display's are amazing. I learned that Buddhism was introduced to China from India via trade routes around 1 A.D. and there were some sandstone and/or limestone statues to testify. Amazing standing in front of something 2000 yrs old and it's looking back at you. (no it wasn't g-man....yes it WAS....NO it wasn't...) I think the Japanese copped Buddhism around the 6th century. Marvellous display's. Some cool ceramics too. Very intricate and colourful. The oil paintings over in the European display were ace. A couple of Flemish blokes from the 1400's put in some excellent work.

Right, off to get an update on Juan, then it's off to the colon irrigation thread before dinner, the catholic thread, then i'll be lurking around the sex thread if anyone needs to find me.

                      Ooroo.

=blondie;1510262]Hello, I'm Blondie and I'm a Bunningsaholic :H I am within walking distance of a Bunnings now MrG (of course that's no use as real Bunnings people take their utes - not that I have one!)

Bunnings is my favourite store. I love pulling up in the new ute.... blokes turn their heads to see a bloke sitting in the passenger seat letting a sheila drive... I deliberately wear my work jeans, westie shirt and dirty workboots when I go.
Raggsy... gal on a hardware mission...

. Rags has the poshest ute I've ever seen, even sans canopy. I reckon she'll now get preferential treatment at Bunnings.

                          .
I do. I walk with purpose... Men step aside in the power tool aisle to let me have first choice at the Ryobi display.
The guy at the pick up area treats me with great respect ever since he saw me tell Mr Rags to wipe his boots before he gets inside my ute.

The canopy saga: Mr Rags got a phone call on Thursday. The canopy will arrive between a quarter and half past October.

Blokes stare with unabashed envy at me and me ute.
Ya want me to come down and we can go for a spin ? I'll let ya have a go of it

Only sort of.. I was actually at one of the Wingalots 60th birthday party celebrations. She chucked a camera in my hands and said OK, you're official photographer. I had my big camera with me too. Just as well as her flash wasn't adjustable, so some harsh piccies. Some are bloody hilarious... all these 60 year olds singing 60's songs, and the two gay guys joinging in "I feel like a woman..."..

The only person not having fun was a 12 y.o. kid who should have been allowed to stay at home. He was appalled by our hi jinx and bored out of his brain. I tried to chat to him but he wasn't going to have fun. Full stop. I'd love to put some of the pics up, but obviously can't. It was ahoot. Almost everyone sober too.

They had it catered... terrific food, AND... they had the coffee van and a big fire in the back yard... how bloody good is that. Must've cost them a bomb.

I tell ya Blondie, the party was more fun (and better for my frame of mind) than chanting and meditating for two hours........ I shall probably pay for this in some future lifetime....

My UGG boots are also colour co-ordinated to my hair. Trying to figure out how I can do a piccy of it for you.

One story goes that an Indian made an incredibly treacherous journey to China to spread Buddhism. But the Silk Road was a hive of economic cultural exchange etc...
There are a set of caves that have spectacular carvings and paintings of Buddhist stuff, but for the life of me I can't remember the name of them.

I'm going to have some veggie soup and a slice of toast then off to bed.
