Re: ~cattleman cafe~ & another 24...

Good morning Cafe friends. I have not been to bed. Mrs Techie is under pressure from her publisher and she had computer problems last evening. I was finally able to sort out the issues. Lots of coffee still coursing through my veins. So a nap later and then early to bed tonight. So, with Visine at the ready, I will take another 24. I wish you all the best day possible. Blessings x

Sorry, Techie. I'm the on-call tech support for my entire family and it definitely can be tiring. Glad you got it sorted!

ABC, I'm happy you are beginning to slow down. Enjoy your less busy winter!

Dill, thanks for explaining. I'm definitely thinking about skipping future covid vaccines.

Hubby's injection was easy peas! Now to find a doc to do them while we are down south. I'll work on that next week. He needs them every 5 wks for who know how long.

Visiting with family. I'll take another day!

Ginger, glad that hubby's eye injection went well. Sometimes the fear of the unknown is actually worse than the actual event.

I'm with you dill on not getting the covid vaccine. It just seems to me that the research on the vaccine was hurried along due to pressure from the government. I know several people that have had long lasting effects from the covid vaccine, so no shots for me this year.

Techie, glad that you were able to sort out your wife's computer issues and get her back on track.

Good for you cowboy on ditching the big jobs. It will give you more time to spend with Bubba!

        24 more please...

Glad hubby's treatment went okay Ginger999, hopefully it won't be too hard to find a Dr. who'll continue then when you're down south.

Not much planned for today, a bit of paperwork to get caught up on then maybe a bit of reading. Hope everyone has a relaxing Sunday...

I've signed up for a victory walk to help raise funds for breast cancer patients. That takes place this afternoon and my granddaughter is going with me. The weather is supposed to be cool and partly cloudy, so good conditions for a walk! Looking forward to it!

Ginger, I'm glad the treatment went well for Mr. G.

Rava, have fun at the movies with the grands!

24 more for all of us please and thank you.

Had a lovely dinner last night with hubby's sibs. Food was amazing and conversation was interesting.

Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday. I'll take another!

Been a while, now the new NHL season is occupying me (games happen to be the same time as my usual time on here: the witching hour so to speak). Hope everyone is well (or at least as well as can be, with covid going around and other various health issues). I had a very intense long epic (bad) dream last night, where I literally went through all the stages of drinking: started with a just a couple beers here and there (and was surprised not to get withdrawal symptoms), but then drank a lot a few nights, started having symptoms, and ended up drinking every night again (but somehow was able to justify it because I was at least drinking less than I used to), and ended with a very bad feeling of "fuck I can't believe I'm here again"... just before I woke up (hugely relieved to realize it was just a nightmare). I guess my subconscious is still very much on guard and I guess that's a good thing. Anyways, felt like a good time for a check in!

Good morning Care! Mul so glad that was a dream and we all know how quickly that could become a reality! Ugh. Dill I hope the walk went well! Ginger, sounds like a nice day with family. Today we are getting a new mattress delivered. I know it sounds trivial but can’t wait to get into it. Lol. Nothing like a good mattress to make your life a bit better! This little place has a decent mattress but I need a better one like we have down south. Wishing everyone a great and sober day! 24 more please. Ps the movie Paw Patrol for kids was pretty good! Lol

Those drinking dreams can feel so real Mulburry, good thing we just have to wake up from them. The Oilers didn't fair so well in their opening 2 games against the Canucks, hopefully they'll get things on track soon.

A comfortable mattress make all the difference in a good or bad night's sleep Rava, I think it's one of the reasons that I don't sleep very well in the camper.

Hope the walk was a success yesterday dill.

Glad it was just a nightmare, Mul! I can't imagine having such a clear and realistic dream. My dreams don't seem to hang together thant well.

Rava, a mattress really matters! And thanks for the feedback on the Paw Patrol movie. I haven't got a young one to see it with tho, sad to say.

Ginger, I'm glad you got to enjoy time with Mr. G's family. I miss being able to ve with my own family. I took them for granted I'm afraid. I have only one sibling left to check in with.

The walk yesterday was really great. It felt good to be a part of an effort to raise funds for cancer patients. My granddaughter felt the same way. She thanked me for taking her with me and she helped out with takiing down various tables at the end of the day.

Cowboy, will you be getting together to make the sausage soon?

Taking my gf to an appointment today.

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.
