Rava, I'm so sorry you are going through so much turmoil. I agree with Cowboy that you have the right attitude, and you must distance yourself from the parts of this situation that are not in your control as best you can. I will say a prayer for you and your dad.

Cowboy, you asked me the other day how Lily looks post-surgery. I honestly haven't seen her teeth yet. She has kept her mouth closed since the surgery except for when she is eating and then her face is in her dish so I really haven't gotten a good look. I'm sure that when the warmer weather returns and she has her tongue out, panting, that's when I'll see it. I does make me a bit sad that she will have a funny smile from now on, but it was necessary for her health and comfort. The broken tooth had jagged edges that her tongue would get caught on and cut when she was running and panting full bore. The bleeding tongue was what drew our attention and the reason we found the badly broken tooth.

Ginger, I'm glad your sister is settling in. Perhaps she make it to 6 weeks. Either way, carp diem!

Good morning Cafe and thanks for your encouragement. The serenity prayer is exactly what I needed to hear. I am still not sleeping well and trying to turn off my thoughts. Mr. R has been a good resource for listening to me. Today I have made plans to go to a craft festival with several girlfriends and then to lunch. That should help the day pass by quickly and keep me occupied. We are supposed to get some cold weather headed here next week. Our days will be in the high 50’s which is down right freezing for Florida. I have most of my winter clothes up north. May have to make a trip to walmart for some warmer stuff. Ginger, I hope your sister is feeling less homesick and settling into your warmer weather. Dill, it sounds like Lily is making out well since having that jagged tooth removed. Her tongue will definitely be happier. Cowboy, hope you don’t find any weather related issues or problems at the farm. Jude, thanks for the prayer. Lily might end up with a crooked smile dill lol, but she might cover up the missing tooth with her tongue and look normal.

The Serenity Prayer is my go-to as well Jude if something seems to be getting out of control for me. We have a couple of them hanging on the wall, one in our bedroom, it's the complete prayer that our youngest embroided for me the first year of my quit, and another one in our front entry.

Have fun today with your friends at the craft sale and luncheon Rava, I'm sure it will give you some time away from your thoughts. Things were good at the farm, not too much snow drifting even with the high winds and heat was on in the shop and pumphouse so everything should be fine through the next few days of extremely cold weather.

We've got some pretty cold temps right now but it's going to get worse over the next couple of days. The temps at night are supposed to be in the negative numbers. Brrr...

Yes, same here, Jude. Starting tonight we will be visited by cold coming to us all the way from Siberia! Ugh. It has been a really challenging winter so far. I hope it eases up on us soon.

Sounds like most of us are going to experience that cold weather. We'll probably be much colder because of our location, it's -35C (-30F) here this morning, "real feel" or "wind chill" temp is -45C (-49F) and it's supposed to stay with us for a couple of days. Thinking I'll be just staying inside lol.

I've never used TikTok Rava, but sounds like the ban maybe won't last long?

I've never looked at Tic To and don't know much about it. I use Facebook and that's about it for social media.
