Geez ginger, never a dull moment at your house is there? Glad that you were able to save the bird; the poor thing must have been terrified.

Techie, hope that you are feeling better.

Looks like we're in for some lake effect snow today. I have to go out and get some groceries, so I guess that I'll find out how my knee scooter does in the snow. Could be interesting...

24 more please...

I'll be interested to hear how you do with the scooter on snow, Jude. Also, when do you go back to the doc to see if you can get fitted for a boot? Hope you are healing nicely.

That poor bird! That must've been quite the adventure, Ginger. It's so disconcerting to have one indoors. I'm glad you were able to catch and release the poor thing.

We're off early to drop the car off at the shop for a repair.

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.
Dill

Good morning. Jude, be careful on that scooter in the snow! Yikes. Ginger, sounds like fun catching a bird in our house. Lol. Hope everyone has a good day. Off to my volunteer job in a few hours. 24 more please.

Sounds like Cyrus was having fun even if you weren't Ginger999 lol.

I'm not sure what would be worse in the snow, crutches or the knee scooter Jude58, just be careful eh.

Off to do a small job today, change taps in a tub/shower unit for a good customer. And it'll also give me a chance to check the furnace in the shop to make sure it's still running.

Jude, I don't have to say this but the mom in me can't help it. BE CAREFUL out there!

Nothing exciting happened around here yesterday. Whew! Waves to all my buddies in the cafe.

I'll take another day

abcowboy, I made out pretty well with the scooter yesterday. It has 4 wheels so it's pretty stable. The crutches are a nightmare in the snow due to the rubber tips on the end, which make it extremely slippery. Dill, I go back to the doctor on Friday for a recheck, but he has already told me that due to the nature of the fracture I will be in a hard cast unit I'm healed. it's been almost a month, so fingers crossed that it will only be another couple of weeks. I really miss being able to drive as my car is a standard clutch, but hopefully I will be good to go soon!

Another 24 please...

Good morning cafe. Difference between Florida and the northern places, it’s 53 degrees right now and local shelters have opened for the homeless. I am used to it being frigid before shelters open. I hope everyone has a great day. Nothing new here. 24 more please!!

Jude, I hope the next two weeks pass quickly and the healing is quick.

Mr. D goes back for follow up tomorrow. He gets a PT eval next week provided the doc doesn't have any reservations about what he sees tomorrow.

Hope your small job went well, Cowboy. I'm confident it did.

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

And a good morning to everyone as well! Yep, the job went well dill, I was in and out in just over 2 hours. Sometimes things on the job just fall into place which they did yesterday.

I think I've mentioned that Vegreville is home now to quite a few displaced Ukranian families, and a few more come here each month. Bubba runs around and picks up some of them to take to Church, or run them on other errands. Anyway, the daughter of one of the original mother/daughter families (been here almost 2 years since the war in the Ukraine first started) graduated high school here and then applied and got accepted to College taking her LPN course. Every so often she needs a ride back to St Paul, or a ride from St Paul back to Vegreville, and I've volunteered to help out, so today I'm off to St Paul, about an hour's drive, to take her back to attend a lab course, then pick her up and bring her back to Vegreville. Normally she lives on campus, but it's nearing the end of this semester so she only has a few classes till the semester break so I said I'd just drive her back and forth for those few classes. It feels good to be able to help out, and they are so thankful.

ABC, that's a wonderful thing to do for that young lady.

Jude, glad your outing was uneventful!

I managed to miss check in yesterday. Not sure why. I'm wondering how techie is doing. Hope he checks in soon.

I'll take another day!
