Exercising the knee is probably a good idea Ginger, just don't get into anything too strenuous as to lose what you've gained do far.

I had a chuckle Rava when you said you were getting your a/c serviced, I've been doing a few furnace servicings for my customers lol.

Good luck with the cats at the vet's Jude, don't imagine it will be cheap.

We've had quite a few mornings with heavy frost dill, at least the daytime temps are above freezing still. As a matter of fact today is going to be so nice that I'm going to do pork tenderloins on the smoker tonight.

Don't think Adam or I will be desperate to fill our tags as both of us still have well stocked freezers, but we won't pass up a good sized buck either haha.

I got out of the vet's office with a $200 price tag, which is less than I thought it would be. During the exam the Dr. noticed that one of the cats had broken one of her canine teeth. If it starts to bother her she will need to have it pulled. I was informed that the cost would be $1200 buckaroos. Ouch! When I was working as a vet tech we would probably have charged around $300. My, how time has changed...

Waves to all, and I'm looking forward to another 24 hours of freedom for all of us!

Cowboy, you live in a beautiful part of this world, but I feel it would be a bit too cold for me! I suppose when you are born and raised in a colder climate it is easier to manage. Ohio's winters are cold enough for me. I do hope that the precipitation picks up for our area. Nearly the whole state is dealing with dry/drought conditions. I believe the country on the whole is dry. Have a great time with Adam!

Wow, Jude! you got off fairly light, but I sure do hope your kitty will not need the tooth pulled. That's a lot of $$$!

Waves to Rava, Ginger and Mul!

We have no plans for the weekend which is just the way we like it. Peaceful and alcohol free. 24 for all of us here, please and thank you,

          Dill

Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!

If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

Good morning Cafe. Jude, 200 is not too bad for 2 cats. Now the possibility of a pulled tooth is very high. Hope it never comes to that. Dill we are having a drought at the tiny home too. I hope it rains soon. I see there are all kinds of burn bans going on. Cowboy, I can smell those pork tenderloins!!! YUM. Hope everyone has a great and sober day. 24 more please and thank you.

That was not too bad of a bill Jude, hopefully the tooth won't need to be pulled.

The pork was fantastic Rava, wish I could share it with y'all.

I'm sure the summers are hotter and the winters are colder dill, or maybe it's just because I'm getting older lol. It's definitely dry up here as well, we need a lot of snow this winter to fill up the lakes and sloughs. Just waiting for Adam to text to say he's on his way then I'll start getting my things ready so we can head out once he gets here.

Jude, that seems extremely high for one tooth. Cyrus has bad gums and has already had to have his teeth cleaned and 4 pulled. It was 1,100. Maybe you should come out west with kitty! Have you heard of care credit? It might take the sting out a little. It's an interest free credit card for things just like this. www.carecredit.com

Waves to all! I see window washing in my future. I'll take another day of freedom!

Ginger, thanks for the info on care credit. I've heard of them before, but never thought I'd need to use it.

Things are pretty dry around here as well so hopefully we will get some much needed rain soon.

How did you make out on your hunt with Adam yesterday cowboy? Hopefully you got some more meat for the freezer.

It's way to early for cowboy's famous breakfasts, so I guess that I'll just have to settle for a bagel.

                    24 more please...

Good morning Cafe. Today is a day of reflection for me. I am struggling again and wanting to drink. Will review the tool box and play the tape forward. I can tell when my mind starts getting weak and that is whats happening. I would expect this to someday go away but it never, ever does. Any words of wisdom are appreciated at this point. I will not drink but I also have to cut these thoughts. 24 more for me please and thank you.

Hang in there, Rava. You'll be glad you did. Would it help to talk with the lady friend of yours that shares the problem with drink?

It's spitting rain but not much accumulation. Still, it feels good to get a break from the dry weather.

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

It was an enjoyable day hunting yesterday. We saw a few moose, lots of mule deer, but not one white tail deer was to be seen. We did see lots of scrapes in one area that we know usually has more white tail than mule deer so we'll put our efforts on hunting that area next weekend.

Reading through the toolbox and playing it forward are great ideas Rava, and maybe ask yourself why you want to drink? Are you bored, angry, etc? Do you feel something is missing from your life? That was an exercise my counsellor had me do, when I wanted to drink I was supposed to write down why at that moment I wanted to drink. Then do something about the situation other than drinking over it.

ABC, that's a great exercise. I'll remember that for future fights with the AL demon. Great brekkie.

Rava, I feel ya! I was so strong in my resolve back home but when we got down here, I could feel the desire creeping back in. For me, I'm home sick for my littles. I miss them and it feels stupid to be away from them when I don't have to be. I want to numb that feeling. Anywho, that's just me. I'm falling asleep listening to an audio book about abstaining from alcohol. It seems to help.
