Well, old man winter showed up yesterday and I had my first date with the snow shovel. Don't think this will all go away as both day and night temperatures are supposed to stay below freezing for the next week to ten days anyway.
On the bright side, we should be able to have a good look where the deer have been moving now.

Late check-in today. Mr. J and his buddy are out in the woods this morning. Cowboy, they are hunting whitetail deer as we don't have any mule deer around here.

wow, that's quite a bit of snow for this early in the season. Though I'm not surprised, they even mentioned high areas around here might get snow and definitely the mountain passes further inland etc. It's been 4C in Vancouver though so not really very close to getting any here, just awful heavy rain all day long.Originally posted by abcowboy View Post

Good Sunday morning folks! Mr. J and his friend saw a few deer yesterday, but were unable to get a clear shot on any of them, but there's always today.
Not much planned today, so maybe I can get some knitting done as I've sadly neglected it.

The bake sale went well. We had more donations than last year and the sale was well attended.

Glad the bake sale went well dill, fundraisers are an important source of income for lots of organizations
We faired about as well yesterday as Mr J did Jude lol. We saw a few moose, lots of mule deer, but only one whitetail and it was in such thick bush we couldn't tell if it was a buck or a doe.
It was a fair amount of snow for our first Mulburry, hopefully we'll get lots of snow this year as we definitely need the moisture.

Yesterday's breakfast was superb, Cowboy! Thank you. I know you meant well when you said you hoped for lots of of snow this year, but fingers crossed you don't someday regret the sentiment!
At the end of the day at the bake sale we had several items left, mostly tea breads and muffins. The leftovers were coconut pecan bread and muffins, and pumpkin bread. We decided to give away the last items to any vendors that wanted them. I sent my granddaughter to offer them out and was surprised when a number of folks said no thank you to the coconut pecan breads saying they weren't keen on coconut. I really like coconut so that was a surprise to me! What about here? Do we have fans or foes of coconut? One of my favorite cookies is the coconut macaroon. Mmmm.
Not much happening here. Mr. D has his second knee injection today, but that's about it.
