Morning all! One of my favorite breakfasts, ABC. Would Bruce like my Canadian bacon? He's sure a handsome boy!

Today we take our youngest grandson to camp for the week. I hope I can rally by 2p. Its an hour away in the mountains. I'm afraid without a co-pilot, they'd be wandering in the wilderness for days!

Here's to another day of freedom!

Did Mr. J get the hay baled, Jude?

Ginger, you’re quite busy it sounds like taking care of the grandsons and all the animals.

I am so debilitated with this foot I can hardly walk on, my hair has fallen out a lot on top, and I’m having to try to hide it with a comb-over and a headband. I have a painful tooth now that has a receded gum with an… air pocket above it. Plus numb from all the neuropathy. I have ruined my life.

I went to Huxley’s 3rd birthday party at D2’s yesterday. I enjoyed playing cribbage with some of my son-in-law’s family. That’s something I can still do!
I did not enjoy being totally ignored by ex-HB.

Rava, what a nice AF day you had yesterday! It is a blessing for sure that your kids aren’t all about drinking and drinking culture.

Dill, hopefully Mr. D is recovered from his stomach bug.

      I will keep plodding on.

Once a pickle, never a cucumber again.

        Good morning cafe!

Mr. J and his friend worked all day yesterday, but the hay is now in the barn.

Loved the picture of you and Bruce cowboy. Looks like you both like watermelon. lol

Another hot, humid day ahead of us with t-storms later on. Thank God for air conditioning!

Slo, sometimes it sucks getting older with all of the problems that go with it. It's important at this stage to live " in the day" as they say. Whenever I start to feel sorry for myself, I make a gratitude list. It kind of puts things back into perspective for me and I usually feel better afterwards.

House cleaning and grocery shopping are my to do list today, but at least I have more time since I retired.

Who wants to join me in another twenty four hours of freedom?

Thanks for another great breakfast, Cowboy. I'm with Ginger on that being one of my very favorites.....MMMM soft cooked eggs and hollandaise sauce! Lot's of drama at that wedding! LOL

Your day with the grandkids sounds grand, Rava! It's very lucky drinking is not a big deal for your kids. I heard a story on the news that even teens are stepping away from alcohol use these days. May the trend continue!

Yes Slo, Mr. D is over the stomach thing. Thanks for asking. I sure don't envy you having to share family time and space with your ex, but I'm sure you do it with grace. Not sure I could handle it.

Jude, glad Mr. J had a good and productive day lending helping hands to your neighbor. And yes, I want to join you for another 24.
          Dill

Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!

If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

Good morning Cafe. Beautiful morning. I am sitting outside with a waterproof blanket over my damp patio cushions drinking my coffee. The birds are chirping and I am grateful. Slo, I hope you can just keep managing day to day the best you can. Jude, so glad the hay is done. I am sure Mr. J is glad too. Ginger, safe travels to the camp today. My granddaughter asked if she could spend the day with me at the pool. Of ourselves I jumped at that opportunity! Hope everyone has a great and sober day. Hi to Cowboy and Dill!

Glad to hear they got hay all put up Jude, and yes, I like watermelon just as much as the other Bruce lol.

Our kids aren't real drinkers either Rava, they don't abstain but they don't overdo it either. It makes our get togethers so much easier not worrying about what we should have on hand for them to drink as they never drink around me and I've told them they could have a drink if they want as it doesn't bother me.

Hope the trip to camp went well Ginger, are you feeling better now?

Glad to hear Mr D is back to normal dill, was it a stomach flu? Nothing too serious I hope.

My ex and I rarely see each other Slo and when we do it's just polite "hellos" and nothing more. I wonder how she feels about having a "Bruce" back in her house now that Amanda has moved in with her lol.

Not much on my agenda today, and I'll join you in another day of freedom Jude.

Haha! That's was funny, ABC. Your x is stuck with a Bruce!

Got grandson delivered to camp! He was so excited. We'll pick him up Friday.

Waves to all! I gratefully ask for another day of freedom!

I got in with a dentist today since the tooth pain has become so intense, and I have an infection. He says I may need to have a root canal done. Has anyone here had a root canal done? What’s your experience with it?

Spent the morning on the phone with insurance trying to find in-network PT for my foot and in-network dental. Such a slow process.

My ex was avoiding me, Cowboy; so I didn’t even get in a polite ‘hello’. My extended family was all over him & his girlfriend. My mother gave his girlfriend a big heartfelt hug when they left.
That made me feel not very gracious. That’s funny that your ex lives with a ‘Bruce’ again!

Fun that you got a pool day with your granddaughter, Rava! I took Huxley to day care this morning. I do that on Mondays now.

Thankfully this 800 mg. of ibuprofen has relieved the tooth pain for now.

Another hot and muggy day here, but I'm grateful that I don't live in Texas. Such a sad thing that so many people lost their lives during the floods.

                      Loved the quote Rava!

Slo, I had a root canal many years ago and it wasn't that bad. Think of it as something that's going to relieve the pain that you're having now. It's definitely worth doing even if you have some discomfort at first, you will be better in the long run.

My diamond painting kit came yesterday and I'm looking forward to working on it today.

I'm in for another day of serenity...

Good morning Cafe. Jude, looking forward to hearing about your diamond painting. I started again the other day. Slo, I hope your tooth pain goes away. UGH. That takes me back….. I have 2 dentists now. One in each location. So much dental work to include root canals and crowns. Just make sure they give you loads of novacaine. It will be ok. The pain will go away once the nerve is removed. Ginger, I am glad the camp trip went safely. Today is going to be rain. Gives me an excuse to diamond paint and watch some TV. Hope everyone has a great and sober day. I have made it past my 1 month anniversary! WOOT WOOT.. 24 more please and thank you!

Congrats on the one-month milestone, Rava. Your slip doesn't erase all your past accomplishments but still, after a slip, it is a reassuring accomplishment! Enjoy your rainy-day diamond painting. Thanks for that lovely quote.

Slo, I have had one root canal and am so grateful there are endodontists! The pain from that infection was awful. Having the root canal wasn't as terrible as I expected it would be. The doc was very thorough with the numbing procedure so other than being uncomfortable at having the mouth kept open for the duration of the surgery, it wasn't too bad. Hope you find relief soon.

Hope you enjoy your diamond painting today, Jude. It took me a little time to warm up to it, but once I got into it I enjoyed the process. Very relaxing.

I had a good look at the twin fauns yesterday evening. They were in the front yard grazing with their mama. So beautiful! They still had their spots. I wonder at what point they lose those markings. Thankfully Lily was elsewhere, LOL!

                            Waves Ginger and Cowboy!

24 for all of us here, please and thank you.

I've also had a root canal but it was years ago Slo, it wasn't that bad if I remember correctly. You'll be glad you did it once it's done.

Enjoy working on the diamond art Jude, might be something you really like. It is terrible about the floods in Texas, makes me think that I don't have much to complain about with the weather we have up here.

Great job on your 1 month Rava! You've got this!

                              Waves to Ginger and dill!

Rava, congrats on one month. They'll just pile up from here!

I'm working on a set of diamond art ocean themed coasters. I can hold the pen with my fingers without my thumb. Its saving my busy mind! Jude, I hope you enjoy it!

Slo, I've had more root canals than I can count. I have teeth that die with the least bit of trauma, which includes fillings. My last one was over and done before I knew it!! You got this, girl.

Dill, did you get pictures of the mama and babies? If so, please share.

ABC, what are you up to today?
