    Good morning all!

Ginger, I submitted a volunteer form yesterday and sent it in. Yesterday I got a text asking me to call them today and I'm thrilled. It's a good way for me to help others and myself as well, and I'm looking forward to it.

Slo, that stinks about not being able to get a scooter at your local pharmacy. I bet that you could find one at Amazon, and it wouldn't hurt to look around at other places as well. I've never heard of needing a prescription for it, and I just went into the pharmacy and bought one. I was looking for a nebulizer once because I have crappy lungs. Everywhere I looked required a prescription except Amazon and that's exactly where I bought one. Wouldn't hurt to look.

    Waves to all!

Twenty four more please and thank you!

That's exciting news, Jude! I can't wait to hear how your call went!

I looked again on Walmart for knee scooters. There are a variety of them available and I didn't see any requirement for a prescription. Maybe that's just if you want insurance to cover some of the cost?

      Hi Rava, Cowboy and Ginger!

Let's all have another 24 together.
      Dill

Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!

If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

I'm betting with your background Jude they'll be more than happy to have you as a volunteer!

This cabin build has been a pretty slow project Ginger only being able to work on it 12 - 16 hours a week, but we'll eventually get it done lol.

Looks like there's lots of different models of those knee scooters Slo, I also saw them on Amazon.

It's raspberry and saskatoon season up here, do any of you pick and preserve raspberries? Both little jobs I was at in the last couple of days saw the wives picking and cleaning raspberries. And both offered to send some home with me which I gladly accepted.

I'm sorry, I meant if you wanted the scooter paid for by insurance, you'd need a prescription. Sorry I wasn't clear.

Jude, they're going to love you! You'll be volunteering before you know it! Do you have a time limit you want to stick to a week? I bet they'd take you every day, if they could.

ABC, Adam is lucky to have you!

Hi Rava, Dill, Slo, Mul! I'll take another day of freedom

Good morning Cafe. I am off to a late morning as I went to exercise class before posting. Ginger, My excuse for the party that it was time for some quiet time. Thats all I said and quietly went upstairs. There were over 30 kids there so it was understood that this old girl had had enough. Jude, looking forward to hearing how your volunteer call went. Hope everyone has a good day! 24 more please and thanks.

I love raspberries but we unfortunately don't have nearly enough raspberries to preserve but...... blackberry season is just starting and there are so many (wild) blackberries all around; I'll definitely go pick a bunch. We don't really preserve them as such but we make the extra into freezer jam (use very little sugar to keep it healthy) and "preserve" them that way!

I talked with the volunteer coordinator at the shelter yesterday and I'm going in on Sunday morning to train. Looking forward to it and hoping that it works out.

We have some blackberry bushes on the property but not enough to make jam. Our peach tree is loaded with fruit so there will be lots of jam making this Fall.

I've been working on a diamond art kit that I got from Amazon and I love it! It's so relaxing and enjoyable that I'm going to order another one.

Who wants to join me in another twenty four hours of serenity?

I will gladly join you in another twenty-four hours, Jude! It was a delight to read all your good news this morning. I'm sure your training will go well this Sunday, no doubt!

Mul, we have blackberries and they were loaded this year, but the deer love them as well as we do it appears. We are lucky to get a handful here and there!

Rava, "time for some quiet time" .....very classy way to make an exit.

Cowboy, we are well past raspberry time here and are currently in blackberry season, And yes, we do make raspberry and blackberry jams when we have a good crop.

                    Waves to Ginger and Slo!

This is the weekend of the family reunion. My brother and his family arrive today, My daughter and her family arrive tomorrow. Saturday is the get-together. I'm prepared but nervous. I will be happy to see everyone though. Unfortunately the weather forecast is not good: 70% chance of rain. Ugh!

24 more for all here, please.

That's not an excuse Rava, that was the truth! I like my quiet time as well.

That's great news on the volunteer job Jude! I'm sure it'll be something you enjoy.

I'm sure the reunion will be a great success dill, and as you said, it'll be nice to see everyone!

I don't think we have blackberries around here Mulburry, least not that I've seen or heard of. Bubba and I used to pick saskatoons by the gallons but we haven't done it for years now.

Adam and I are headed back to the lake after he gets off work tonight. We'll start work on the sheet metal work for the HRV system while waiting on the delivery of the insulation and drywall and the for the plumbing inspector to show up. So I'll see y'all Saturday morning!

Good morning Cafe. Jude, I am so excited for your volunteer job. I think you will love it and it takes your mind in different directions! Also the diamond painting is so much fun. I am actually teaching a class here at our community in a few weeks. We are all making bookmarks. I have not ordered the kits yet as I am waiting to see how many sign up. The fun part is that people of all ages can do it. I expect a few kids in the mix as well. Dill, praying that your reunion does NOT get rained out. It will be good to see your family again. Hi to cowboy, ginger, Slo and Mul. Wishing everyone a safe and sober day.

Jude, that's great news about your volunteer job! Can't wait to hear how it goes.

Rava, I like that reason. Thirty kids would definitely be a good reason for quiet time. Lol

Dill, hoping you don't get rained out! Do you have a backup plan, if you do? We have hubby's family reunion this weekend too. Together we made a plan!

ABC, hope everything goes well with the projects and inspection. With you on the job I bet it will. How goes the dentures? Are you adjusting to them? I have to go look up saskatoons.

Mul, where we are spending our two week vacation on the Washington coast, there are tons of wild black berries. We usually pick enough for one or two cobblers. So delicious!

Hi Slo, hope your visit is going great at D1's.

I'll take another day of freedom!
