Could they use you more than 4 hours a week Jude, or is that enough for you?

Glad you made it safe and sound Rava, now just to enjoy your time with the family!

Hopefully the boot will give you a bit more freedom with getting out and about Slo.

Ya, I'm not too heart broke that I won't have to lift and carry all that drywall Ginger lol.

Think I might get out and cut the grass this morning before it gets too hot out, another day in the 90's they say. We're in desperate need of some rain up here.

I'll take another day of freedom

Good morning Cafe. I am feeling more like myself today after that long travel day. Glad alcohol wasnt added to the mix. I was actually shaky last night before bed from exhaustion. Being old sucks sometimes. This morning drinking coffee in our little place I am feeling back to myself. Jude, I am so glad you are going to help those cats. I think you will love it there. Cowboy, hope you get that grass cut before you break a sweat. Hope everyone has a wonderful day. Can’t believe it’s the last day of July. The summer is almost over. 24 more please and thank you.

So, an orthopedic doctor who specializes in feet, Jude? You mean instead of a podiatrist? Huh. That’s an idea. For now, the podiatrist has ordered an EMG and an MRI.

The boot helps if combined with crutches. This is so scary. I can’t hardly do anything. Like there’s no rain in the forecast for 8 or 9 days, and I can’t water the grass.

Ouch: that was an early flight, Rava! No wonder you were so exhausted and shaky. Hope you have a great time in Idaho.

All that drywall would be so heavy, Cowboy.

          Another AF day ahead.

Late check in for me. Early morning volunteer shift and then in the afternoon we harvested 6.5 dozen ears of sweet corn and blanched and froze it. It made 20 pint freezer bags. I'm worn out!

24 for all of us here.

Dill, looks like harvest season is already started for you; it's a lot of work but so worth it. Our peach tree is loaded with fruit and it won't be long before we will be picking and canning.

Slo, yes there are orthopedic doctors that specialize in feet and ankles. Do an internet search and I'm sure that you will find several drs. that way.

Cowboy, for now I'm just doing one day a week but in the future I may do more. We shall see.

              Twenty four more please...

Jude, our peach tree was loaded but it was cleaned out by deer and birds. Mr. D was so disappointed. He put a lot of work into the care of that tree and was really looking forward to those juicy peaches.

Cowboy, It seems so strange for you to have such high temps! It's finally cooled off here as of yesterday. We actually stayed in the 70s but it rained and rained all day. Wish I could share it with you.

Hi Rava, Slo, Ginger and Mul.

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

That's a lot of corn to process dill. Too bad about the peaches. All we have is one lonely apple tree in the backyard and another at the farm, but we usually get lots of apples from them.

Waves to the rest of the gang, have a fantastic Friday y'all!

Good morning Cafe. Dill, wow thats a lot of corn. I saw on you tube where someone freezes corn on the cob by cutting the ends off each ear and leaving some husk on. They shrink wrap and freeze with no blanching. I was going to try that when I get back. I wonder if it works. Sounds too good to be true! Slo, I hope you can get some relief soon!! Today is another day with the grands. I am getting my energy back so they want to spend the night. I guess it might be tonight! LOL. Hope everyone has a great Friday and a good weekend. Cant believe it’s august!! 24 more please and thank you!

SIL called yesterday to say she's decided it's time to stop drinking. Right out of the blue!? We are headed there for the weekend so I'm hoping to lend a listening ear if she wants to talk.

Waves all! I'll take another day!

Ginger, great news about your sil, and hopefully you can help her.

Dill, that sucks about your peach trees, maybe next year Mr. D can figure out a way to keep the birds and deer away from the peaches.

Every year I get a CT scan of my lungs because I smoked for years in the past. My doctor called yesterday with the results, and apparently I have pneumonia. Other than a little coughing and wheezing, I don't feel too bad. He prescribed a weeks worth of antibiotics so hopefully it will clear up.

I'm in for another Twenty four more of peace...

Jude, I hope you throw off that pneumonia quickly. I are you going to be able to do your volunteering or will you skip it for now?

Ginger, that truly is great news about your SIL. I know you'll be a great support for her if she seeks it.

I'm off to do a bit of clothes shopping with my granddaughter this morning. I can't believe it is already August. Where has the summer gone?!

Rava, I know you went to visit with some grands but I wonder where? Are you back north? How did the sleepover go?

                            Hello Slo, Cowboy and Mul.

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

That's great news about your SIL Ginger, do you think you and Mr G's alcohol free lifestyle had any influence on her decision?

Pneumonia isn't anything to take lightly Jude, glad they caught it before it got any worse.

Enjoy your time with the g-kids Rava, how was the sleep-over? How many kids and g-kids do you have if you don't mind me asking?

Bet your weekend will be a quiet one after last weekend dill, enjoy the peace and quiet. We're supposed to get our much needed rain Sunday and Monday so hopefully the forecast will be right.

Bubba and I will pack up and head for North Battleford after breakfast this morning for my family reunion. It's about a little over a 3 hour drive right to the Battlefords Provincial Park so we should be there early afternoon. Thankfully there's a hotel right in the park so no driving once we get there. I see from FB that a bunch of the family got there yesterday, some are camping in the park and some are staying in the hotel like us. It'll be good to see them all again.
