Theatre popcorn is the best Rava, I just can't seem to recreate it at home haha. Sounds like the boys had more fun in the sandstorm than they would have had at the car show. My teeth didn't get back from the lab yet and the dentist office called me to reschedule for next week. I was already on my way up there when they called but it's in the same direction as the farm so it wasn't to much of a bother, except for another week of no teeth lol.

If the birds don't leave our apples alone there'll be none to pick here Jude. Enjoy your apple bread and your company.

Those kites are simply amazing Ginger, would be quite the experience to watch them all.

The equipment is big dill, but you'd be surprised how easy it is to operate once you do it for a bit.

The start of harvest was rather short lived, we got the first field done just as the rain started. So it was back home to Veg for me to spend the evening with Bubba. It'll probably be dry enough to go around lunchtime today. The new headers work way better than the ones last year and the extra length doesn't seem to be too much of an issue so far.

The largest of those fish were bigger than a pickup truck. One was the size of a bus. You just can't put them in perspective in the air.

So this morning I woke up and heard growling noises coming from the bathtub. Whenever one of my cats catches a mouse they always bring it to the tub so that it can't get away. So here I am at 4:00 am trying to corner this mouse in the tub so that I could release him outside. Well, the next thing that I know it's climbing up my pant leg and it's sitting on top of my head burrowing into my hair. Works better than an alarm clock for waking up!

Cowboy, sounds like you've mastered operating the new piece of equipment. Hope that your new choppers come in soon!

Oh Jude, I laughed so hard at that little story! Especially the line about it being better than an alarm clock! Well, you now have me beat on mouse stories. My worst encounter was when one ran across my pillow at 2:00am years ago. That's something you never forget....

Well, I tinkered around with the picture posting and found out what I was doing wrong. Next time I have a picture to share, I'll be able to do it. The Youtube video thiing is next level. I'm going to look into that this winter when we have long nights to fill.

Bubba and I had the same experience with a mouse running across our pillows years ago in our old camper dill. Of course Bubba couldn't get back to sleep but I had no problem lol.

Not sure I'd like one running up my pantleg Jude, let alone getting to my head. I keep my hair too short for one to burrow in haha.

The peas were still a little to tough to combine yesterday so Corey figured it wasn't even worth trying. We'll give it a go today though once the sun gets out and dries up the dew.

Heading home day after tomorrow. It's been a relaxing second week. Hubby and I will skip any future trips with that many hooligans. That ship sailed for both of us.

Ugh, I'm not a fan of mice so that story did not make me laugh, it just made me cringe, haha.

Rava hope Erin doesn't hit you too hard, at least it looks like it's not a full landfall hit. Here the weather is the exact opposite, we are having the hottest and longest heatwave of the year (just when you thought summer was almost over too), dead calm days getting into the mid 90's (35C). Hopefully the last heat wave of the summer (fingers crossed).

I had a interesting accidental exposure to alcohol the other day from the most unlikely source. I was out on a walk eating blackberries on my way, as I usually do, but they are now on their last legs.... I noticed a lot of the ripe ones weren't tasting that sweet anymore and tasted a little funny (not really bad or rotten, just a little off). After a while I finally realized what the off flavor was, they had begun to ferment on the stem. I had eaten a fair amount by that time already, and I started to notice maybe the tiniest slightest bit of a buzz (more just feeling a little funny). Of course there was a voice in my head saying: "just eat a whole bunch more, see if you can get a real buzz going"... I'm glad I didn't for numerous reasons. Not that day!

Ginger, yes I did get the mouse outside but I had to walk to the door with a mouse on my head, bend over, and drop the little bugger out onto the grass.

Mul, I never realized that you could catch a buzz from over ripe blackberries, but I guess like any fruit it will ferment over time.
