Nope, no deer for us this year again Jude, but the father/son time out hunting was priceless.

It was a cash bar dill, $5:00 per drink, and they only had beer, wine, and wine coolers, no hard liquor at all. There was only one fella that had a bit too much but he was still pretty well behaved. It doesn't bother me anymore to be around booze/drinking so I still enjoyed the dinner of roast beef and dancing with Bubba. How was the meal at your neighbor's, what did you take?

Waves to Rava and Ginger, and of course Mulburry.

    No today...

Good morning Cafe. I purposely waited for breakfast before posting. LOL. Thanks Cowboy. Sorry about no deer but glad your time was well spent with Adam. Dill, you taught me a new word. I have never heard of a carry in? I am assuming it’s like a pot luck. Hope everyone has a good and relaxing Sunday. Hi to everyone and 24 more for us all!

Just in time for breakfast! Yummy Thanks, ABC! It sounds like you and Bubba had fun. It's a nice outing for seniors. They had a pool party here yesterday but we didn't attend. I'm not feeling much like socializing in a crowd. Happily, hubby didn't want to either.

I'm glad the hunters here enjoyed the time even though there was nothing bagged.

I crochet and taught my oldest gdaughter when she was around 8yo. She never stopped and can make anything with a pattern! Now, she could teach me a thing or two-hundred about crocheting. Lol

Nope. Still freaked out about the surgery. Oh well, it won't make me drink because that would just be dumb. I'll take another day of freedom!

Glad you had fun at the dance and also on the hunt with Adam, Cowboy. Sounds like a good day for a good Cowboy! For the carry in I made a tuna pasta salad which was delicious and Mr. D made a pumpkin pie. Both turned out great, but there was SO much food there we had to take some home with us. Lots of good comfort foods and for the protein there was turkey, ham and venison. All wonderful! For dessert there was pumpkin pie, pecan pie, cherry pie, and pumpkin roll, all homemade! Thanks, yet again, for the wonderful breakfast.

Rava, did you enjoy your Thanksgiving without the wine or booze this year? It definitely gets easier with practice.

Ginger, I offer to teach my granddaughter how to crochet every now and then, but so far, she hasn't shown an interest. I hope someday.... It's wonderful that your granddaughter took to it and can now teach you a thing or two! What a gift for her to have gained a lifelong skill from her grandmother! I c
an understand you having the jitters over the surgery. I can't wait until it is in your rearview mirror!

          Hi Jude and Mul!

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

Good morning cafe! Who wants to join me in another 24 hours of serenity?

Good morning Cafe. I cant believe it’s December already. Time is marching on too quickly. I am watching the news north and they are getting solid rain and cold temps today. I am excited to go north and see family and friends but not the weather!! Jude, Thanksgiving was good. My first Thanksgiving or two in Florida I was a little depressed because we moved away from family but it is getting better each year. No booze also helps the situation. Going to the gym today and getting back on track with exercising. Hope everyone has a great and sober day. 24 more please and thank you.

I'll definitely join you in another day of serenity Jude!

Yes, I can't believe that Christmas isn't that far away Rava, it will be here before we know it. Glad your Thanksgiving was good, sounds like everyone's was.

That sounds like it was a fantastic meal dill, the desserts alone would have made my mouth water never mind all the rest of the food!

It's great when we can pass on some of our knowledge to our kids and grandkids Ginger, just another way for us to stay in their memories when we can't be near them.

Jude, 24 hours of serenity sound like a very good plan!

Rava, glad you had a good Thanksgiving. I hear you on not looking forward to heading into this weather zone. It's been miserable here so far.

Cowboy, there was a lot of deserts left over, and they asked me if we wanted to take some home. I sure did want to, but I decided it would be best not too. It's a long road of treats between Thanksgiving and New Years Day and I am going to be treading carefully!

Greetings Ginger and waves to Mul!

My daughter called from New Orleans last night and told us it was in the 70s there. She felt sorry for us. Our grandson was also on the call. He's 14yo. He told us that he was invited by a neighbor to come help harvest honey from their beehives. He thoroughly enjoyed learning about the process, and she sent him home with a big old jar of homemade honey!

It's only 45f here this morning but headed toward 74 by noon. With the sun it feels warmer. Little sis is coming March 1 and she'll road trip home with us the end of March. Our plan is to go up through all the national parks of Southern Utah. She's never been and it's been years for us. It should be fun! It gives me something to think about other than my surgery

You guys are the best! Counting my blessings! I'll take another

That sure sounds like a fun trip! I've never made it further south than Colorado, but have friends who've spoken highly of the Utah Parks (Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce etc.).

Ginger, your trip home sounds wonderful. I've only been to a handful of national parks but would love to see more as they are so beautiful!

Dill, what a great experience learning how to harvest honey must have been for your grandson. We used to keep bees but had trouble keeping them alive during our harsh winters. We still have several jars of honey leftover so it should hold us for awhile. Yum!

Rava, I admire the fact that you go to the gym on a regular basis. I've never been a fan of going to the gym but I have several fitness videos and prefer to work out at home. I just need to dust them off and start using them again.

I like to think of shoveling snow and cutting grass is my exercise Jude, and it looks like I'll be getting more exercise this morning lol.

I keep forgetting you have a daughter and grandson in New Orleans dill, I'll bet that was a great experience for him.

You'll have a great time visiting those national parks in the spring Ginger, you should be all recovered from getting your new knee so your mobility problems will be a thing of the past.

I agree with Jude Rava, you do well with exercising and staying in shape. I think most of us do the best we can with trying to stay fit and healthy.

It's not very cold here this morning, so shoveling the snow we got overnight won't be too bad.

Ginger, that sounds like a great adventure! Definitely something to look forward to!

Jude, I don't have any exercise videos, but I probably could get some from the library, if I were motivated... I'm more like Cowboy, I prefer to get my exercise doing daily chores and taking the occasional walk.

Rava, you do a great job keeping fit! We used to go to the local college athletic center. The allow community members to use it for a very modest fee. For Seniors it is only $10! But Mr. D's knees give him fits now and we quit going. I miss it but I'm not motivated enough to go on my own.

Cowboy, we got 5 inches of snow overnight. Mr. D is getting his exercise with the snow shovel today, too!

Mul, I've been to Colorada, but never to Utah either. I bet there are some great parks to explore there.

                                Not today.
