That's great news Ginger, glad it went as well as it did!

We've been getting a little bit of snow just about every night Rava, but I've been able to deal with it using the leaf blower.

The snow and blowing snow sure make for poor driving conditions Jude, we've already had travel advisories because of it.

I saw on the news about the possible evacuations in the Fraser Valley because of the flooding Mulburry, that's a lot of rain to fall in such a short time. We usually only get a few 6 - 8" dumps of snow each year but this year it might be different.

Hopefully you have good driving conditions where you are dill, is the bitter cold weather supposed to hit your area as well?

Pain is excruciating this morning. Gotta get through today. I'll take another.

Ouch Ginger! Didn't the doc send you home with any prescription pain meds? I remember how much pain I was in the day after my rotator cuff surgery. It was brutal at first ,especially doing PT with a throbbing shoulder, but it all worked out in the end. Hang in there and before you know it you'll be hiking free of pain.

        Waves to all!

        24 more please...

Hopefully you've got something to manage the pain Ginger, and it starts getting less today.

Waves to the rest of the gang...

My new shovel arrived yesterday, looks smaller than I expected lol but we'll see if it works as well as the neighbor's. No snow to try it out on, but we're supposed to get more snow this afternoon and into tomorrow. It's a chilling -33C (-27F) this morning so I'll be staying indoors for sure today!

Ginger, I hope you found some pain relief yesterday. I remember how hard it was on Mr. D when he had his shoulder surgery. But this will pass. I asked him several months after the surgery if he was glad he went through the surgery and he was a definite YES!

Jude, I didn't recall you having a rotator cuff surgery. Good to know you got through and it was worth it.

Yes Cowboy, we are getting the bitter cold and snow here too. There is a two hour delay at the local school today. Hope they don't upgrade it to a closing. They've already used 2/5 allotted snow days for this school year and we haven't even had the first day of winter yet!

Rava, are you sure you want to travel north this year for the Christmas season?

              Hi Mul!

The weather mad said we will have a warm up mid week next week. I'll take it!

Good morning Cafe. Ginger, I am hoping that pain gets under control today. Sending good vibes your way!!! All this snow and rain I am reading about on this group definintely wants me want to stay here and not travel north! Airfare is already paid for so we are going! Yesterday we spend the day exploring in the everglades. There is a road that is 6 miles long thru a panther preserve. We drove it and ate lunch on a picnic tables with car doors open in case we had to run for it. Saw a few gators and many birds. Hard to believe people walk and ride their bikes in there. Hope everyone has a sober day. 24 more for me please and thank you.

I'll take another day of freedom.

Ya so much rain, we ended up getting a 151mm but luckily it stopped late Wednesday night. There was a bit of local flooding in Hope but we faired pretty well here, no problems with the house, and not even a power outage. A couple of the highways are still closed but we're not completely blocked off like after the '21 atmospheric river. Abbotsford as you mentioned not quit so lucky, lot's of flooding there, and North Washington has some catastrophic areas. We had a break yesterday and supposed to be dry tomorrow but then another atmospheric river that could bring another 100mm so I'm not sure if any of these problems in the region are gonna get better any time soon. When this month is over I can't imagine we won't break some sort of rainfall record, it's certainly been a December to Remember (for all the wrong reasons).

Geez Mul, that's a lot of rain at one time! Personally I'd rather see snow than rain. We usually only have flooding in the Spring from all of the snow melt coming down from the surrounding hills.

Well, I blew it yesterday and drank some of the bourbon that Mr. J keeps in the freezer. I don't know why I did it but I'm really regretting this morning.

Rava, great pictures! After seeing that alligator I can understand why you ate lunch in the car!

Cowboy, I bet that you can't wait to try out your new shovel. You'll have to let us know how it works once you get some snow.

Dill, I had to have rotator cuff surgery several years ago. It was pretty painful for awhile, but it was definitely worth it.

Ginger, I hated going to PT because it was so painful at first but it got better with time and I have no regrets about having the surgery.

                        Not today...

Loved the pictures, Rava! Thanks for sharing. What a Gator! Yiikes!

Jude, sorry for your setback. I know what you are going thru, I must stay that I would have a very hard time staying away from that Bourbon in the freezer. Impossible I would say. I know this because Mr. D keeps a bottle of Yukon Jack out in his workshop in one of our barns. There are days when I struggle to keep myself from going out there. If it was in the house.....well, I believe you are a stronger person than I! I know you'll get back on track.

Mul, I watched some national news last night and the flooding up in Washington state was absolutely dreadful! I hope you all in that neck of the woods stay safe and dry!

Ginger, hope PT was not too brutal for you, but I do remember it being pretty hard for Mr. D. You'll get thru it!

                            Hi Cowboy!

We're supposed to get a bit of snow today Jude, not sure if it will be enough to try out the shovel or if the leaf blower will handle it. You came right back and got back on the wagon and that's what matters most my friend.

Ya, looks like that area is in for a bunch more rain Mulburry, it already looks like pretty much a disaster. Hopefully everyone stays safe and evacuates when told.

How was the PT Ginger, no sense asking if it was painful because anyone that has gone through PT knows it was. But is the new knee working properly without any complications?

Great pictures Rava, I don't think those gators are anything to mess with. I think I would have skipped lunch till I got back lol.

Looks like we'll cross post again dill, I see you're online as well. Our temps didn't get near as cold last night and it's supposed to be warming up throughout the day, warm enough that I might even do pork tenderloin on the smoker for supper lol.

Good morning cafe. Ginger, I hope the PT went ok without too much pain. Jude, Nothing makes sense with our drinking. We can be strong for a while and then something SNAPS and we drink. I don’t understand why we do it. The fact that you are here means you continue to fight this and will be right back to being sober again. We keep learning from our mistakes and keep coming back. We are nothing like we were even after an occasional slip. I am routing for you!! I am also surprised that you can walk by that freezer. I cant even have it in the house or I will drink it. Except beer, I literally hate beer. Mul, I hope your flooding ends soon! Must be crazy. Cowboy and Dill hello to my virtual friends. Well I woke up with a terrible sore throat today. UGH just in time to travel on Tuesday. I am sure Mr. R is right behind me on this. Wishing everyone a great and sober day.
