Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

Yes, hope your trip goes well Rava and you're back in your other place nice and safe. Hopefully you'll get over the sore throat quickly and it doesn't develop into something more serious.
Glad to see you can get back to your crafting Ginger, you must be managing the pain quite well. I'm not a tub kinda guy either, much prefer showers.
How's your friend in rehab doing dill, any idea how long they'll keep her there?
Your drive in "the beast" must have went okay Jude, how much snow did you end up getting? I get to try out the new electric shovel this morning as we got a bit of snow overnight and the colder temps have returned.
I'll get out a bit earlier this morning and try out the new shovel, then head for Mannville for my annual driver's license medical. Will probably take a swing up to the farm just to check the heat in the pumphouse and shop. Exciting day for me lol.

Good morning Cafe. I am just finishing up a few chores before getting ready to head to the airport. Feeling a little better and took cold medicine so I slept well. Mr. R feels fine. We dont even have any warm clothes. They are all up north. So off we travel in jeans and sweatshirts to 10 degree temps. Luckily we dont have a car parked and have to walk far in those temps. Ginger, glad you are able to diamond paint. Love how it passes the time! Glad you are feeling better. Everyone out there dealing with snow, be careful!!! Hope everyone has a great Tuesday. Will be checking in tomorrow from the tiny home. 24 more please and thank you.

Safe travels Rava! Hopefully the weather will be a bit more temperate by the time you arrive.
Our temperatures are moderating for the next few days and I'm looking forward to it! I didn't go see my friend yesterday after all. The roads were not great and the temp was in the single digits. Today will be better. Cowboy, I don't know how long she'll be in the rehab. I'll ask her today.
Ginger, glad you are able to keep busy with you crafts!
Jude, I guess you got to the volunteer job and back yesterday.
Not today.
Dill

We actually had record setting high temps (in the mid teens C) up here yesterday... of course not possible to enjoy them with torrential rain and 100km/h winds, haha. Had the obligatory power outage, but got it back late in the evening luckily. Looked like a warzone around town today, branches (and some trees) down all over. Now on to round 2 (heavy rain has started already and winds are supposed to hit overnght). Our temperatures are moderating for the next few days and I'm looking forward to it!

Good morning all! I did make it to my volunteer job in one piece but it took me an hour of white knuckle driving to get there. We only got a few inches of snow, but the blowing and drifting made for tough going. I love the snow but not driving in it!
Rava, hope that you made it safely to your tiny house up north. I'd imagine that you'll have to dig out your woolies to handle the temperature change.
Dill, our weather is supposed to warm up here as well over the next few days with highs near 50 degrees on Thursday. Unfortunately, the warmth will include high winds and heavy rain.
Mul, does it ever stop raining where you live?
Waves to cowboy and Ginger!
Not today!

Good morning Cafe. I am bundled up drinking coffee with the heat turned up quite high. Thank goodness this tiny house doesnt cost a fortune to heat. Need to head to grocery store this morning. Mul, Wow your weather is terrible. I hope you make out ok when this rain is done. Jude, I am not sure I would have gone to my volunteer job in that kind of weather. You are a good volunteer! Hi to Ginger, Cowboy and Dill. 24 more for us all please!

Glad you made it safe and sound Rava, I'm sure you'll get used to the temperature change after a few days.
Those are some wicked winds Mulburry, and I see that you have lots more rain in your forecast. Hopefully the flooding is done with though.
Winter driving isn't for everyone Jude, Bubba won't drive out of town unless she absolutely has to, which is never with me around lol.
Waves to dill and Ginger...
I'm not really impressed with the electric shovel but it did do not a bad job. It was still dark out yesterday morning when I used it so I didn't get to take any pictures. The snow was quite hard and packed from the wind though, so maybe it'll work better in the lighter snow. We're under a winter storm warning for today and tonight, lots of snow and high winds headed our way so I'll be staying indoors for sure!Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. The weather was really moderate here yesterday! Sunny and no wind. I wish I could have shared it with you, Mul!
I did get to visit my friend yesterday, Cowboy. She was doing much better! She's pretty glum about her circumstances but that's to be expected. She said she doesn't know how long she'll be there, but the care team was to make a weekly assessment yesterday as to her progress. I'm thinking she may be able to get back home before the New Year. She's working hard at her PT and regaining her mobility. The worry is that she lives alone. But her kids have made some changes at her home to make the environment safer and more accessible. and she is determined to get back home. I don't think it will be too long.
Glad you made it safe and sound back to your tiny house, Rava! It's definitely going to take some adjusting to get used to the weather!
Jude, we're in for rain and wind tomorrow but today will be mixed clouds and sun and warm enough temps that I believe the snow may all be melted.
Ginger, how often to you have PT? Is it getting any easier yet?
We had a volunteer appreciation luncheon yesterday. It was lovely. That's one thing the Health Group does really well. We volunteers definitely feel appreciated!
I think I have just a couple of things to get before Christmas, but for the most part we are ready!
Not today...
