Good morning Cafe. Dill, I love the video bird feeder. Such a cool idea! Maybe you should consider a porch goose. LOL. You can outfit it with baby clothes from the thrift store. I just put mine in her summer gardening outfit for when we come back in the spring. LOL She is going right on the front porch for those passing by to see when we get back in the spring. Ginger, we head back Tuesday. Will be happy and sad to leave. Mr. R is sick. He got my lousy cold and men don’t seem to take illness as well as us ladies. Jude, I love the puzzle table so good to have with cats. Mul glad you got a white christmas! Cowboy I am also glad you didnt get more snow. Heading to lunch with daughter and gr daughter and trying to squeeze in some bonding before we head back. Wishing everyone a great and sober day. 24 more please and thank you. Enclosed a picture of Lucy G.

Rava, I love your goose! How fun. I have a porch cat. Maybe I should dress it up a little. Enjoy lunch. That sounds like fun!
Jude, I order my new puzzle board yesterday to replace the one here that's falling apart. I'll save the old one though. There's some good wood that will be great for other future projects. Another thing I like about puzzle boards, they slide under the couch when company comes.
Hi Mul, Merry Christmas. I bet your white Christmas was beautiful!
Dill, I've seen those bird feeders online. They look amazing! What a great gift. I still have zero birds after a month at the little window feeder I installed for Cy. Any suggestions on getting them to come?
ABC, good call on waiting on plowing. Sounds like you'd just have to turn around and do it again.
Not much going on around here. Same 'ol, same 'ol. I'll take another day of freedom from poison!

Dill, I can't remember what kind of tractor Mr. J has. It's smaller than a farm tractor but it sure gets the job done. Rava, I love the porch goose, and it's great that you can dress her up with different outfits. Ginger, I too love the fact that I can slide the puzzle under the couch when you're not using it. I'm really enjoying it.
I have seen ads for bird feeders with cameras and they look really cool. Might have to look into getting one!

Good morning cafe. We have to drive back north for a grandson birthday party. Tomorrow is clean up day and prepare to
fly south. We have a video bird feeder here at the tiny home. It took about a week or two for the birds to come. They came in such force that we stopped feeding them as they pooped all over our porch furniture. This spring when we get back we will place it somewhere away from the house. It’s really fun to watch all the birds. Hope everyone has a great and sober Sunday. 24 more please and thank you.

Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.

I haven't done much with my railroad layout dill, I do run all the trains at least once a week to keep everything in running condition. I haven't made up my mind on what to do with the expanded area, some sort of a rural/farm layout is what I'm leaning towards.
Enjoy the birthday party today Rava, and have a safe drive to and from it. I enjoy watching birds at a bird feeder but also don't like the mess they leave behind.
Nice to have that tractor Jude for whenever you need it. Our John Deere 4010 hydraulic pump cratered a few years back and the tractor isn't worth the cost of the hydraulic pump repair so I rely on Corey to open the lane when it gets impassable. He's only too happy to do it for me when he's out plowing snow.
I don't know how to attract the birds to the feeder Ginger, maybe try a different bird feed mixture?
It turned bitter cold here overnight but at least there's no snow to shovel lol.

ABC, thanks for breakfast! I thought about switching the food too. I'll do that today. I can't recall, is the farm property you refer to Cory's? I can't recall.
Rava, safe travels today! Hi Jude, Dill and Mul. You guys are the best.
I was able to ride 2 miles on the recumbent bike yesterday. I haven't been able to do that for a year without nauseating pain. Whoot whoot. Progress!
I'll take another day!

Thanks for another great breakfast, Cowboy. And I'm glad to know you are still keeping up with your train set up. A rural/farm landscape sounds like a great idea for the expanded area. Of course, I'm partial. It would be fun to have some miniature farm animals populating the pastures.
Ginger, I think Cowboy was right to suggest a different feed for the birds as a possible answer. We used to feed the birds, but I gave up on it because it was a constant battle with the squirrels and the raccoons. Bird seed is too expensive to put up with those marauders eating us out of house and home! LOL But the final nail in the coffin was actually the woodpeckers. Attracting them to the yard ended up with us being rewarded with holes in the soffits which are a pain to patch! Excellent news about your two miles on the recumbent bike! YAY!
Rava, safe travels today. I cannot believe it is already time for you and Mr. R to be heading back south. Seems like the time just flew!
Jude, it sounds like this cold front might bring you some serious snow. Make sure Mr. J keeps his tractor at the ready!
Today is our last "warm" day. Cold front hits tonight.
Another day of freedom for all of us here, please and thank you.Dill

Dill, yes there is some serious snow coming our way with 8-14 inches of the white stuff. I can't complain though as the northern part of NY are expected to get 2-3 feet of snow over the next couple of days. Yowza!
Rava, when are you supposed to head back to Florida?
Ginger, that's wonderful about doing 2 miles on the recumbent bike and I bet that it felt good! You are making progress!
Cowboy, I like dill's idea about adding some farm animals to the landscape around the train tracks.
Hey Mul!

Another day of freedom, for all of us here, please and thank you.
PS, Cowboy, how about a small forest area with some elk and moose?

Jude, not sure it felt "good" exactly but it was definitely encouraging. Still very stiff and swollen. Hoping that passes soon.
I wonder what kind of seed I'd get to attract the smaller birds? Any ideas? I just got wild bird seed like I get back home. Maybe these southern birds prefer something different? I'll do some research! Thanks
Waves to ABC, Rava, Dill and Mul. Let's enjoy another day of freedom together!

Sounds like you're making a good recovery Ginger, two miles is fantastic! The land is ours, it's where my shop is and where we have the camper set up for my home away from home. Corey rents the pasture from us for his cows but the yard area is fenced off from the rest of the 1/4 so the cows and calves don't make a mess of the yard lol.
I agree with both of you Jude and dill, I'll need to have both farm animals and some wildlife in the expanded area. I should at least get started by giving the base a coat of paint or two. Let's hope you guys don't get too snowed in!
Busy day for you Rava getting things stored away for your return south?

Good morning cafe!
Dill, love the idea of elk in the forest for cowboy's train set! Very cool!
We are under a winter storm warning for today and tomorrow with a boat load of snow and high winds expected. It's a good thing that I don't have to drive anywhere. Looks like I'll get a lot of knitting time in. I'm working on a blanket for my sister and it's a big project but I should be able to put a good dent in it today.
Hope that everyone has a wonderful booze free day!
