I'm taking granddaughter clothes shopping today which is one of my least favorite activities. Unfortunately, she needs clothes and I'm better at shopping than my son is, so I'm taking the task on!
Hope everyone enjoys their respective days (and night). Cowboy, enjoy the curling. I have watched that on TV and I find it fascinating and fun to watch.

Hiya Everyone..Well the cyclone drama has subsided somewhat but a lot of devastating photos/vids around today.. Dear me, mother nature can whack a punch sometimes.
Still drizzly and cloudy today. Everyone I've spoken to today have mentioned how lovely and cool it is. I walk up to my local grocery store twice a day. First walk for necessities and 2nd walk to see if any bargains have appeared! It's only a kilometre there and back so quite manageable. Meet loads of people and doggies on the path so quite the social outing too..of course I have to pet every dog I meet. Lol
Nothing nicer then bright Good Mornings with people.
Ginger hope you're enjoying your travels. I love road trips. Emma has invited me down to stay for a few days next week so I'm seriously considering going.
Dill, good luck with your granddaughter's shopping today.
Jude hope you're doing ok today.

Nice that Mr R wants to learn to play as well Rava, you'll have someone to practice with. Can mahjong be played with partners as well or is it a singles game?
I'm not a big fan of shopping either dill and prefer to go by myself so I can be in and out quickly, but I'll bet your granddaughter loves having you shop with her. It's the Men's World Curling Championships but our Canadian team didn't fare to well against Scotland yesterday, today they are up against the USA so hopefully they'll do better.
Bubba loves card games as well Jude but the only one that I enjoy playing is Uno, sometimes cribbage. I'd much sooner be out on the dance floor lol.

Glad you were spared from the cyclone Peachie, and I'll bet the rain was welcomed! I really should get out and do some walking as well, I'll get lots of exercise though once the snow melts and spring is here to stay.

Good morning cafe. Ginger, those pictures are stunning! Nature can be devastating and beautiful! Thanks for sharing. Peachie, it sounds good that you walk to the store twice a day. Good exercise and a good way to stay in touch with people and dogs. Cowboy, thanks for that great breakfast!!! Mahjong can be played alone or up to 4 people. I hope to teach my grandsons over the summer. I have a kids game which is easier and the tiles are broken down into simple patterns. I still suck at this game compared to my neighbor who picked it up quickly. I keep trying tho and remind myself that it keeps me from drinking and it’s good for my brain. Good morning Dill and hope you enjoyed your church service this morning. Hi to Mul. Hope everyone has a good Sunday! No drinking today for me. (I am hanging around a drinking crowd today to pay bocce ball and dinner). I feel strong in my quit and determined not to let them influence me in any way. It’s been over two weeks and I feel good. I have to keep hanging onto this feeling and not let a setback screw me up!Comment

Hi Cafe, in a bit of a mess tonight. My former partner has been in touch and I'm trying so hard not to reply. I went from a strong professional woman to a shell of myself..I know I won't get sucked in again but it sends me spiralling. Honestly at 74yrs old you think that all that is behind you. Well it is. It really is. I still can't believe that those people exist but they do. Every where.
