Thanks for the tip about the Youtube channel, Rava. I'll check it out. I don't know anybody around here that actually plays the game, but I still want to learn about it. So I will definitely check the Youtube out. Have fun fishing today. I don't like to fish, but I like to go with people that fish and I just read or enjoy the weather. Do you eat what you catch? When we catch fish from our pond, Mr. D will clean and prepare them and I cook them.

Jude, I never heard of that virus either. It sounds nasty! It's important to keep the animals vaccinated. Pumpkin is past due on his bc I couldn't find him when it was time to go to the vet. He disappeared for awhile in the winter. I'm glad you mentioned vaccinations. Pumpkin is back now and I think I'll call the vet when I get done here.

Mul, we've been having some perfect Spring weather the past couple of days. Today's high will be around 20C and sunny. It's light jacket weather and I love it! It's warming up the rest of the week, too, so we'll be able to get some sun on our arms!

Cowboy, are you going to help with the planting this year?

Hiya, Peachie! You are probably in dreamland right about now.

Ginger, your Easter sounds like it was really fun. Yesterday I saw our newest neighbor out in the field behinde their house flying kites with two little ones. I guess they got kites for Easter! They looked like they were having lots of fun.

I'm going to try a new recipe today: Morracan Lamb Meatballs. I'll let you all know how it goes.

    Not today.

Hiya Cafe. I hope you don't mind but I need some advice. When Ben died on 18th December 2024 it was from an aorta dissection. When the aorta simply tears. Apparently it was severe in his case which resulted in three surgeries in three days. They told me that because of the three surgeries in such a short time his case would be referred to the Coroner. The report has not been finalized yet.
Today I had a very strange phonecall from a cardiologist doctor, who, at first said he had misdialled my number and apologized and hung up. Then he rang back and asked me if I was a relative of Ben. I told him I was his Mum When I asked him why he called me he said the Hospital wanted to know why my number was on his phone in his records.
I remember a couple of months after Ben died there were two cardiologists stood down from that hospital because of malpractice. Of course their names were not divulged.
What should I do? It has really upset me.

Peachy, that sure sounds odd. Around these parts a cardiologist would never call anyone for a phone number issue. Are you concerned there may have been malpractice? If so, call a lawyer. There may be something here that needs to be addressed.

Jude, I've not heard of that virus either. Cyrus goes in Thursday for his vacinnes. I'll ask!

Dill, I'm with you on fishing. I'm a good ride along but that's about it.

Mul, strolling the shore at the beach is one of my absolute favorite things to do. In fact, I secured the beach house for two weeks in August.

Rava, have fun today! ABC, you too, no matter what you have to do today.

Lunch today with sisters for missed birthdays while I was in AZ. I'll take another day of freedom!

          Good morning cafe!

Peachie, that's weird about the cardiologist calling you about your son's phone. I agree with Ginger about calling a lawyer and explaining the situation. There must be some way to find out the names of the doctors that were let go due to malpractice. Hopefully, neither one of were involved in Ben's surgery.

There is a vaccine for calici virus and it's included in a cats yearly vaccines, and it's so important to keep them updated.

It's 22 degrees out now, but later this week it's supposed to warm up into the 70's. Can't wait!

          Waves to all!

          Not today...

That is very odd Peachie. It sounds like this fellow is under investigation. It may be all medical staff is being looked into. It is amazing to me that it has been over a year and the Coroner's report is still incomplete. That does raise questions as to why. I think Ginger had a good suggestion. Run it past a lawyer if you have the means. I had to look up aortic dissection as I really didn't know what it was. It sounds like a very dire condition indeed.

Lately I have been seeing a coyote not too very far from the house. Lily is very upset by it and is working hard to keep it at bay. A couple of nights ago when I called her to come in I could see her out in the pasture trying to run it off. When I called her she turned away from it to come to me and it then went after her as she retreated. So she stopped and turned and went back to warning it. This went on for a while until she finally came and the coyote left. I'm going to have to keep an eye out. I wish the coyote was not so close to the house. I didn't see it all day yesterday so maybe it has moved a little further away.

We have a lovely Spring day ahead of us. I hope we all enjoy the day AF!

            Not today.

I'll probably give Corey a hand again this year if he calls dill, it's something I enjoy doing and gets me out of the house and physically active. I wonder how long that coyote will hang around, hopefully it'll leave Pumkin alone. How did the new recipe turn out?

How was the fishing Rava, did you have fresh fish for supper?

I'll bet you enjoyed the lunch and visit with your sisters Ginger after not seeing them for so long. Sounds like a great way to spend 2 weeks in August, sitting by the beach!

Something sure sounds off about the whole situation Peachie, why wait so long to phone a family member? Maybe a call to a lawyer wouldn't be such a bad idea.

How long before the mother cat is out of the woods Jude? I'm betting she'll definitely be a foster fail once you get her home.

We got about 5" of snow yesterday so everything is covered in white again. Looks like a bit more fell overnight so I'll get some fresh air and exercise again this morning lol.

Hi Cafe. Soapie over! Thank you for your input re the strange phone call. I must admit it certainly spooked me. I must admit I got myself into a fluster. However I woke up this morning and realized that it would be upsetting and needless stress. I do well with neither. I am enjoying letting things go at the moment and benefitting from such. I will reach out to the Coroner's Office tomorrow tho and see if I can get any information re Ben's report. I really appreciate your concern.

Goodness Dill that must be a worry re the coyote. We don't have coyotes to worry about here...just snakes, sharks, spiders etc etc.

Sounds like spring is breaking over there. Enjoy.

I asked Emma and her Mum to come up for a weekend before Em goes back to work. I told them that we would go to a nightclub and dance the night away. Emma reckons we would get on the local news channel! Lol. Em's mum turns 75 this year too.

I woke up at 4.30am this morning. Gawd. Off to bed I go.

Night night and waves to all.

I understand not wanting to wade into that undoubtedly, stressful situation, Peachie. I hope Emma and mom take you up on your offer of the visit and clubbing.

ABC, sounds like you're headed toward an aerobic workout today. Be careful and rest when you need to!

Dill, the coyote story really freaks me out. They are so wily! My son's back property is covered in dens and they are not shy. His two dogs have had their workout this spring trying to keep them away from his chickens.

Rava, how was the fishing? Jude, im glad to know that's part of a cats annual vacine! Thoughts going out to mama kitty.

Lunch with youngest grandson (15 yo). It will be good to catch up with him! It's spring break. I'll take another day of freedom.
