4:49am in Alberta, I'll have another 24 please, and thanks...

In the last 24 hours, these friends have signed in for 24 hours of wellness:
Jude58 Rava dill Ginger999 Peachie Mulburry

Today is going to be a darn good day not to drink!
Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

I'm sure she'll come around Jude once she gets used to the new surroundings, and she has to eat lol. Are there other cats in the house that she might be afraid of?

Enjoy the nice weather Mulburry, you can send it our way please. I think Colorado will be going all the way this year, I hope so anyway as that's who I picked to win in our family hockey pool lol.

Sounds like you had a great time with your niece Peachie, I'll bet your mood has improved 100%

Best not push things till you get rid of the pneumonia Ginger, you don't want to run yourself down and have it linger on.

I don't think I've ever had a word test from my Dr dill, some sort of mental test I'm thinking.

How is the mahjong teaching going Rava? Do you guys get together regularly?

I'm sitting having my morning coffee while I listen to the rain come down. Looks like a couple more rain days for me. I'll wait till it's light outside and then pack things to head back to Vegreville.

      Not today...

Good morning Cafe. Jude, I hope the mother cat finally relaxes. Looking forward to hearing her progress as the days/weeks go by. Ginger, damn that pneumonia is hanging on too hard. Hope you break free of it soon! Hope everyone has a great and sober day. 24 more please and thanks.

Love that story! Gave me a good chuckle! You sound like me, Ginger. When I'm sick I have a hard time accepting it and resting as I should! But do take care of yourself! It won't do to burden your immune system while it's trying so hard to help you get well! Sleep/rest, hydrate, nourish!

Jude, I think this kitty will get used to you and your family a bit quicker than the feral kitty you brought in. She seems to enjoy affection which will help the process I hope!

Peachie, the visit with your niece sounds like a balm to your soul! Hers as well. I'm so glad you had that time together.

Rava, does Mr. R go to the gym with you? I think I asked that before, but if so, I must've missed or possibly forgotten your reply.

Cowboy, your post from yesterday reminded me of the little ditty:

Oats and beans and barley grow
Oats and beans and barley grow
Do you, or I, or anyone know
Why oats and beans and barley grow?!

I know one thing...you help the oats to grow!

Hiya Mul! Always good to see you!

It's a stormy Spring day here with lots of rain and thick clouds. We haven't been out to the rain gauge so I don't know how much.

I wasn't confronted with the word memory test yesterday. They simply did the mobiltiy test again and I passed with flying colors on that one, thank the Lord!

Today's test is achieve another day of freedom....

Evening Cafe. Great to read all your posts today. Jude, I guess you know but puddies always take a while to settle in. She'll be ok. Bloody Zorro was hanging at the front door this morning. Poor Patches was eating her breakfast and saw him. Gosh she can growl!!

Thunderstorms tomorrow. Well that's according to our Bureau of Meteorology. Been hit and miss a bit lately. I think climate change is making it harder to actually predict accurate forecasts.

Ginger, hope you're feeling better. It just takes a bit longer for us to recover. It's frustrating but your determination will see you through. Another big hug.

            Waves to all.
            Night night.

Ugh... still coughing my lungs out. This is dumb. Doc said continue the doxycycline and he order another chest xray and some bloodwork to rule out valley fever. We don't have it in WA but AZ docs always say to mention you've been in the southwest, if you develop a nagging cough. If is fungal pneumonia, meds are changed to antifungals. Praying that's not what it is because I've heard of people having to take those meds for months. My poor liver has been through enough!

Peachie, what a wonderful day you had with your niece. It sounds like you both enjoyed the visit reminiscing. Dang it, Zorro! Leave those girls alone.

Dill, let us know what your rain gauge says when you can venture out.

Rava, you've really hit the ground running! Will you go back to your FL home during the summer to check on things?

ABC, enjoy your trip home for a few days. I bet you look forward to Bubba's home cooking!

              Jude, did you name Mama?

Hi ya, Mul! We've been enjoying pleasant spring weather too. Its perfect temps in my opinion.

              I'll take another day!

                Good morning cafe!

I woke up at 12:30 and couldn't get back to sleep so here I am. I might have to get a nap in later today, we shall see....

Ginger, pneumonia is nothing to fool with and I'm glad that they're taking another X-Ray and doing bloodwork. Mama kitty was named Black Eyed Susan when she came into the shelter but I just call her Susie for now. She seems to be relaxing and is eating a little. She is just the sweetest cat.

Cowboy, the other cats aren't bothering Susie, and today she seems a little more comfortable with her surroundings. It's going to take some time before she really feels at home, but that's O.K., she can take as long as she wants.

Waves to Rava, Dill, Peachie and Mul!

                Not today...

Well, I'm up early for the volunteer job, but not as early as you, Jude! I had that happen to me a acouple of nights ago though. I woke at 3:00am and that was that! Hate when that happens!

Ginger, fingers crossed that it isn't fungal, but what ever happens, I know you'll get through it. You're one tough lady! We'll be with you every step of the way. And yesterday the rain gauge had a little over an inch of much needed rain.

Rava, I was scrolling though movie offerings on Netflix last night when I accidentally came across your "Octopus movie". It was a movie called, "Remarkably Bright Creatures" featuring Sally Fields and of course, an Octopus! When I read the description I realized it was the movie you had mentioned a couple of times here, so we watched it. It was delightful! I'm really glad I saw it and honestly, I don't know if I would have watched it were it not for you posting about it. I thought it was going to be a documentary, but instead it was a sweet and touching and fanciful story. Both Mr. D and I loved it! Thanks for thae mention.

Peachie, and Cowboy, waves to you both! Running out of time here and have to go.

24 more hours of freedom for all of us here, please and thank you,

                  Dill

Good morning Cafe. Dill I am so glad you and Mr. D liked the movie. We rarely watch movies together but this one we liked. It’s hard to explain to people a show about an octopus. LOL. Ginger, I have never heard of valley fever but I am glad the doc is doing further testing on you. Rest up and get well. Mr. R does go to the gym with me. He does the elliptical and weights and I walk the treadmill and watch my tv shows on my iphone. If anyone here watched Yellowstone the new series with Beth and Rip called Dutton Ranch is great. Started off strong for the 1st 2 episodes. Mr. R doesnt like it as he thinks it’s too dark. I love it tho. Jude, I love hearing about Susie and the fact that she is starting to come out of her shell a bit. Hope everyone has a good day. Hi to Cowboy, Peachie and Mul!

Hi you two early birds. Goodness hope you get a nap in later Jude. Enjoy your volunteer day Dill. Hi to Suzie too.

No thunderstorms or showers! Lol. Bit cloudy but some sunshine too.

My friend Pat is enamoured with Temu and keeps forgetting what she orders. Anything she double orders she brings it up to me! It is like Christmas here. We are about the same size and she has ordered more ladies knickers then I've lost count of. Suffice to say my underwear draw is full. Lol.

Made myself a yummy quiche for dinner. So easy and quick to prepare and cook. Second half for breakie too. Wish I had chooks but not a big enough garden. I'm sure Zorro would love it tho.

                      Ginger please take care.

Hi Rava and Cowboy. Have a lovely day everyone..

I think Susie has found her forever home Jude, what's one more cat added to the mix haha.

I'm not sure I help the oats to grow dill, but I definitely give them the start they need lol. We had the same amount of rain yesterday, just over an inch. Have fun at the volunteer job today.

Nothing worse than a lingering bad cough Ginger, time to get more tests done it seems. It's nice to be home with Bubba for sure!

I don't hardly believe in the weather forecasts anymore Peachie, but I have to admit they've been pretty accurate so far this year. Sounds like your neighbor spends too much time on Temu never mind the money, but it works out well for you.

I did enjoy Yellowstone as well Rava, haven't seen any of the spin offs yet but will watch for them when they come on Prime or Apple TV.

Not much on my agenda for today except do some laundry. It will be another day or two before it dries enough to get back in the field.

                            Not today...
