Good Morning Army!! Wishing you all a special day whatever you may be doing.

:huggers: for Satz. Tough to deal with our kids at times but at least you understand what young Satz's going through and he's got you on his side even when you're upset and frustrated with him. Sending you strength and patience. He'll get it right eventually. We all did.

Starts - so happy that you're feeling different this time. ink:

Positive thoughts today, peeps, no matter what. As Mr. G used to say - there's a blue sky under them clouds.

For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.

Cos we're really, really nicer than nice.

Ah, Starty, but you "knew" all the MWO folk you met up with before you had even met them in person. We have all been members here for years, whether continually posting or leaving and then returning for whatever reason. We have shared our happiness, our sadness, our successes, our failures, complained about our jobs, our spouses/kids/co-workers/relatives and bragged about their accomplishments and their good qualities as well. We have shared our hope, our despair and even at times, things we perhaps wouldn't have shared with even our partners or our closest friends. THAT'S why meeting up with the MWO folk is different. You all know each other so well and it's the common factor of being an alkie that had brought you/us all together. You don't have to pretend to be someone you're not and you don't have to "try" to get along with others and make small talk. It all just comes naturally because you're among dear friends. Simple as that. Damn I wish I lived closer.... :upset:

Molly, I get to enjoy my quiet house Monday to Thursday from the time Mr. Stirly leaves at 6:30 a.m til he gets back sometime after 4. Lovely. 'Cept I have to work online but that keeps me busy and I help contribute to the family business. Sure beats having someone hanging round the place and driving me :nutso:!!

            haha Stirly!

Morning All - late checkin (from my desk, :no

Starty, feeling the cloud a bit too lately, thought it might be the concoction of vitamins Im on since the beginning of the month (everything I read here!), but I actually think MrM off the sauce is helping enormously.
I was a bit wobbly in the run up to xmas, but that has settled. Im sure it will wobble again!

July 19th was my day 1. 6 months to the day, so that's probably helping too.

            Morning Satz,
Conas ata things today? How is young Satz?
Did you chat to your doc?

Better do some work - :egad:

I guess we all have to learn the hard way on this and young satz is no exception. Will he be thrown off the whole programme? I would imagine that they are making him have consequences for his actions and that is why he is banned from the group? At least he hasn't given up trying. That is the positive here
They don't withdraw support. He will meet them tomorrow and either join a relapse group or move on to continuing care if they deem him to be serious about staying sober and getting right back to it.

I think that is the relief of fecking Christmas & New Year and the pressure of both to socialise. Now you have a clear run at it 🤗
