Re: Army Garrison April 2021

Arvo everyone!

I hope your Easter Sunday was lovely. I did the usual family Sunday with the neice attached to my side. We talk about her week (she's 4) then pick flowers in the garden and do our makeup. I absolutely love it. Always wanted a little girl.

Plan is to watch YouTube and do a healthy cook-ahead this afternoon. Tomorrow I will contact the union and go from there but they are not going to consume me on this one. They're not worth it.

I've had a lovely couple of days pottering in the garden and acheived quite a lot, although the rule these days is to enjoy myself first and foremost, rather than 'get stuff done'.

Good on you, Satz. My new favourite saying is: 'You get what you settle for' And if you keep slaving after people, you'll get more of that.

Hey I heard another great saying the other day too: 'The only people who get upset by boundaries are the ones who would’ve abused those boundaries in the first place'. How true is that?
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Morning (just) and waves to the underooos.
You think it was cold yesterday.............its snowed today. Just a smattering but looks rather odd lying around the in bloom cherry blossom tree. Its shagging April and I don't live at the North Pole.

I just made a mahoosive chicken casserole yesterday and Mr JC did his special pork and peaches casserole so they all got fed and there are leftovers for today.

And we get to do it all again on the 17th (my birthday).

You know the hardest thing is not being able to give my children hug.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Good morning everyone. Glad you all had nice Easters with the families. What a change in the weather, we had showers of sleet this morning. At least it was nice yesterday for families meeting up and for the children and their Easter egg hunts.

Ate way too much. Did the turkey and all the trimmings but had Avoca lemon cheesecake for desert, yum. You still loosing weight Satz? I signed up for the course end of April and eating all around me at the moment. Not much else to do so enjoying it while I can.

I am absolutely apoplectic with rage, Molly. There is nothing petty about wanting your legal entitlements to look after your husband. Absolutely absurd that is.

Absolutely JC. It has been so much worse for you all up there too. There have been times where we have all but forgotten the existence of Covid where I live. That's a luxury that not many have across the globe.

Good morning everyone.

Frosty one here and we had some flurries yesterday which luckily did not stick. Really envy you Bridget. It is getting hard to remember what normal life was like we have been in lockdown so long. Google photos came up with what I had been doing 3, 6 years ago etc. Amazing how we took renting a cottage and going away for a few days so much for granted. Daughter has moved into her new apartment so that is a relief. Still very upset but only time will help with that.

Off now for a walk with the doggies, only thing that is keeping me sane.

Been out of action for days as I scratched my eye trying to take a contact lens out of my eye. Can see again now! Thank you NHS for sorting me out so quickly. Been really painful and not being able to see has been a nightmare.

Well my employment problem - or more precisely - my annual leave problem - is not potentially life changing - I'll muddle through it -- but your situation is shocking -- playing around with peoples lives --- I would fight that to the Nth degree - and would fleece them blind -- so there ;-)

I'm delighted your daughter has moved -- that's a very big step in her road to emotional recovery -- with a bit of luck she'll be distracted reorganising things and she'll get a bit happier -- bless her
Re. the pandemic -- how do I feel about it? Obviously at first it was scary - less scared now cos I understand it and understand how to behave in public -- shops etc.. and be relatively safe - and I also know that I'm not in a high risk group so even if I got it I'll probably be fine.. then Joe got sick -- and it all changed - we are stuck at home -- but we'd be stuck anyway -- so I'm missing nothing -- we wouldn't be on the bike or on holidays or little weekend breaks -- so in a weird sort of a way Covid has been a blessing (to ME obviously -- not to the world or all the people who have died or got sick) - I've had all this time off work to spend with Joe and keep an eye on him - and I was able to mind his dog while he was in hospital - he would have had to go back to the breeder if I'd been working -- and that would have been sad for Joe -- so yeah --- I have to say -- in the strangest possible way it's been a bit of a --- well -- not a blessing -- but good timing I s'pose! Now if we aren't all vaccinated (but we will be) in the next few months or whenever Joe is well I could get very jumpy indeed!!!

Christ there's no end to what's happening to you -- tho I never mastered contact lenses -- could put them in no problem but getting them out was really hard - was always afraid I wouldn't be able to and it'd be a Sunday and no one could take it out for me -- talk about projecting haha! seriously tho -- I do so much reading and reading with contacts is a compromise - not perfect vision - so I found myself putting on glasses anyway - eventually -- just got old and gave up... how you feeling in yourself?

Morning and nightie night underoos,

brit..........happy that you got sorted so quickly. Got to say when I had my left cataract done I was gob-smacked at the speed they went. Just waiting for my right eye. We did get a phone call from my eye doctor who had a gap in his schedule but he was offering it as private. I'll just look done the back of the settee and find £4K........... Don't they know I have to buy a hat in 2021?

mollyka.....you are very calm about this. There'll be a time when we can let you loose.

rustop59.... bless her heart.

haha, thats very funny!

Could not get on last night, was the site down again I wonder?

I know JackieClaire, not hugging my mam and dad is not right. They are counting down the days to hug the grand kids (we are clearly not as cuddly). I will be in no rush to go back to the office or socialising though. The timing was spot on for you Molly, funny the way things work out.

Any update on the job vs package Bridge?

Poor you brit, glad you got sorted quickly.
