Not sure what's going on with me losing half of my post when I hit reply. It's very frustrating but at least it doesn't happen very often.

Ginger, we all get into funky moods sometimes and it always good to talk about your feelings. I would definitely look into an e bike, at least it will get you outside!

Not to worry Ginger, that's another reason we're all here, we're good listeners no matter what the problem. I can't imagine having to be so careful all the time would be like.

Glad the visit was good Rava even if it was short, and even shorter because of the poor accommodations. Nothing worse than wasting money on something like a poor hotel room.

Not sure what the problem is Jude, I think some of the others over on the other thread were experiencing the same thing.

Waves to dill, did you get the cold, windy weather you were expecting?

Yes indeed we did! It was super cold and super windy! There were patches of black ice on the roads, too. The local TV weatherman said yesterday that we have had significantly more cold days this December than is usual. We are having a moderate stretch for the next few days but it will be marked with rain. Then next week we are back to the deep freeze.

Rava, thanks for including the link to the Ebike. I am going to check it out today. I didn't realize they could be so light and foldable for transport.

Jude, that is really frustrating about your posting difficulties! I wonder why at the ends of the affected posts a number shows up instead of your content?

Ginger, the ebike is definitely not a perfect replacement for getting out and hiking. However, maybe you can work both into your routine alternatively. The ebike may be a temporary solution.

Today is going to be a darn good day not to drink!

I hate driving when there's black ice dill, I'm at the point now where I just don't travel if the roads are bad. The cold is a bit easier to take if it's not windy, otherwise the wind just makes the cold worse. We've got a couple of cold days early this next week as well, then back up to more moderate temps.

Those numbers at the bottom of your posts are strange Jude, maybe give the techs a message about it. In the meantime, just do additional posts to let us know what you're thinking or doing.

We're off to the city this morning to attend the funeral of Bubba's Great Aunt, she was 99 and passed away peacefully last week. They weren't really close but it's a chance to get together with a bunch of relatives that we haven't seen for a while even if it's a sad occasion for it.

Good morning Cafe. Cowboy, Sorry about Bubbas Great Aunt but when you think about living to 99 and passing away peacefully in her sleep sounds like a life well lived. More of a celebration than a sad occasion. We should all pass away peacefully in our sleep when it’s our time. Dill my folding e bike is heavy like 70 pounds. The fact that it folds makes it super nice to throw in the car. Right now they are 1,500 but I got it on sale for 1000. Thats a good price for an e bike. Some of the fancy ones go for about 3,000. Ginger I hope the knee is doing ok until you get seen by your husband’s doctor. Jude so sorry you are losing your posts. That is weird. Speaking of weird I am getting a bit concerned over the drones that are flying all around the US. What the heck?? Very unsettling to me but I will not drink over it. Rava, sometimes your post sound exactly like something I'd write or was thinking! It's uncanny.

Definitely thinking about the ebike idea. I have a regular bike here that I can "kinda" ride. My balance is kind of iffy on a bike but that's nothing new! I've been that way my whole life.

Rava, I did look up the model of ebike you included in your post. It looks perfect! Does Mr. R also us and ebike? I don't know if we will get one or not. I looked at the specs on it and it weighs about 62lbs which is not bad, but I know I couldn't lift it alone and currently Mr. D is having back issues. He went to a spine doc recently, had and MRI done and will return to the doc for consult. He couldn't lift it in his present condition without further aggravation to his spine.

Ginger, what a way to start the day! Thoughts of wine? I hope you managed to push them far away!

Got through the funeral okay, it wasn't very big, I think the immediate family outnumbered the rest of the people but we did manage to get in a good visit with the few that were there.

Not much new happening here so let's all have a relaxing Sunday eh!

Good morning Cafe and thanks for breakfast Cowboy. Thats exactly what I needed this morning! Dill the bike is heavy and takes us both to lift it. There is a you tube video of how to store a folding rad bike into your car using big plastic cement tubs. Mr. R has the exact same bike as me. They are like little scooters. We upgraded the seats and got a mirror. Thats about it. Jude I am sorry about your posts getting lost. Sounds weird. Hope everyone has a great Sunday. Jude, that happened to me when I started a sentence with a number. It's probably got something to do with that. Probably a setting on the database server.

No drinking here despite yesterday's struggle! Had a lovely lunch then played conasta. I was surprised that three of the ladies were drinking. I thought they were all teetotalers. Oh well, I didn't and that's all that matters.
