Thanks for breakfast yesterday cowboy! We all appreciate everything that you do around here, and this place wouldn't be the same without you.

Ginger, thanks for the advice on posting, we'll see what happens today.

I'm in for another 24 hours of freedom...

Yesterday's breakfast was beautiful, Cowboy. Thank you.

Sorry you didn't get to see as many relatives at the funeral as you had hoped. But it sounds like you at least got to see several. I'm sure Bubba was pleased with that opportunity although the occasion was sad.

Granddaughter came yesterday to help set up the Nativity. We got it out later than usual, but better late than never. She always enjoys helping with that. I had her help me wrap a couple of gifts for her dad as well. I hope she can keep a secret! Ha ha.

We're in a rainy patch. The ground is mushy and will likely stay that way for a few days, then it's back to the cold temps and the ground will harden. I can't believe I'm actually looking forward to that cold!

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.
      Dill

Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!

If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

Our cold weather is supposed to move in tonight dill, but I'm betting it's going to be a lot colder here than there lol.

Off to Mannville this morning for my annual checkup and driver's license medical, sure glad it's today as -31C (-24F) is in the forecast for tomorrow.

Dill, you're so blessed to have that relationship with your granddaughter. So awesome.

It threw a huge database error when I hit submit and truncated my post after the number so here's the rest of it. Lol
...... the desert can get pretty chilly at night! Headed toward a warm spell the next few days though. Breaking some records!

Waves all! I'll take another day of freedom!

I hate driving when there's black ice dill, I'm at the point now where I just don't travel if the roads are bad..
Ya that's one of my pet peeves of winter too, when it gets icey. It can be especially bad around here because it often warms up and then freezes again (which means ice). Both for driving and walking (and especially my mom has to be super careful). Luckily it's been mostly warm here so far, but forecast is calling for some freezing rain tomorrow so we'll see.

Pretty quiet here, just getting some things ready for christmas, tree is up and decorated, and got my last online xmas shopping package today, even though I had to go to the pickup place three times cause they kept claiming they didn't have it (I guess everyone's getting overwhelmed with the Canada Post strike).

Yikes! This is a hard time of year for a postal strike. Hope it gets resolved soon for everyone's sake, Mul.

Off to see the ortho doc today. Fingers crossed.

Hope all goes well at the appointment Ginger!

Sounds like the postal workers will be back on the job today Mulburry, but it's a bit too late now to get parcels in the mail and delivered by Christmas. We haven't decided yet if we should get the packages for the kids sent out right way or wait for the backlog to get cleared out.

I take it you're spending Christmas up north with your family Rava?

We've had our Nativity scene and Advent wreath out since the beginning of December dill, so nice that your granddaughter helped with yours.

Checkup went well so I'm good to go for another year lol.

I forgot to check in earlier, so now I have to get ready for work. Ginger, good luck with your appointment today. Here's hoping for some good news!

Mul and Cowboy, Christmas time is sure a bad time for a Postal strike! Glad it got resolved. I typically get my Nativity set up by the 1st of December but it just didn't work out this year. What matters is, it is up and it will be up until Epiphany. Mul, I bet your online gifts will be delivered on time. At least I hope so!

Ginger, hope you get some much needed good news at the ortho doc.

Rava, safe travels tomorrow. How long will you be at your northern headquarters?

                            Jude, better late than never.

I made some sugar cookie dough yesterday and if I have time today I hope to roll it out and bake it today. Homemade sugar cookies are one of my favorite treats at this time of year.
