Good morning Cafe. Hope everyone has a good Monday! Ginger, yes I have Terro traps. I use them in Florida as well. Pretty sure these ants are in the front wall of my house. If I spray under the bay window sill they fall out dead. Time to hire the professional guys. This place literally sat empty for months at a time so I am not surprised that the ants built up inside the walls. This mess will be over soon. He comes today and I couldnt be happier! 24 more please and thank you!

Goog morning everyone!
Cowboy, it's hard to say how many will be here. It probably won't be an extremely large number as we have never done this before and everybody is scattered, kids are qrown and on their own, etc. At this point I have a commitment of 30ish. I don't think there will be fewer, and likely there will be more than that. But I'm going to assume 30-40 for the sake of planning. Most of my brothers are deceased as are my parents, but the desire for a reunion came primarily from the nieces and nephews.
Yes, Slo, Rava and Jude, the whole idea of the reunion is overwhelming. We are not getting any younger here and there will be a lot to do! In the end it will be worth it, for sure.
Lots of hay down but ours is still waiting. The farmer friend contacted us yesterday and said he'd get to us as soon as he could. Yesterday he sent Mr. D a text telling him that this soy beans were being planted by a drone! Mr. D dropped everything and went over to see that for himself!
24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.
Dill

Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

Our haying season doesn't start for about a month dill, and from the looks of things it should be a pretty good season. I've never heard of planting from a drone, they are starting weed and insect spraying from drones but so far that's about it. I'm presuming the seed would have to be tilled in after? Do they do much fertilizing there as well?
You're right Slo, I head to the dentist tomorrow morning to have the rest of my dental work done, can't say I'm looking forward to it but it will be nice to be able to chew properly again.Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. I had to go lookup ag drone seed planting. Fascinating!
Slo, it seems the last sister(friend) has decided she needs to stop the madness too and chose this weekend to stop knowing none of us were drinking. It's been so nice not having an open bottle of wine sitting out.
Another day of freedom for us all!

Oh, that’s good that being AF has now spread to the third person too, Ginger! That’s perfect, for all of you!
(When I said I had my condo power washed and windows washed, I mean I hired a company to do it. I needed to do the screens and the inside of window frames myself though.)
My baby daughter is here with me, since yesterday. Oh, I love it!! My house feels like a home now, and I feel safe & warm. Yesterday we had dinner over at D2’s too, and tomorrow morning we head to D1’s together! (Then she’s traveling to D3’s, but she won’t let me come with her.)
Good luck tomorrow, Cowboy!Once a pickle, never a cucumber again.

Good morning everyone! It looks like you got up super early this morning, Jude! I thought of you recently because like me, you love observing nature. We had a doe give birth really close to our barn in the tall grass. She was staying near the baby which put her pretty close to the house and barn and the dog felt the need to bark a warning. We never did get to see the fawn, but I am sure it survived because we have seen that doe several times ranging the pastures close to the house. I think it's old enough now to get around pretty well.
Cowboy, we've been seeing fertilized and weed control done by drone in recent years too. But the seeding by drone is a new technique. In this case they were sowing soy beans in a wheat field. The wheat is already qrowing and so the drone will disperse the soy beans amongst the wheat. The theory is that since no heavy machinery is being used and compressing the soil that the beans can land on the surface and germinate there successfully. The wheat will grow and be combined when it's ready and the soy beans will be growing but not tall enough for the combine to affect them. After the wheat is harvested the soy beans continue growing until ready for harvest. Timing is everything. I would think rain is everything too if those seeds are exposed on the top of the soil! Anyway, this farmer friend is taking a risk, IMO, but apparently he is willing to experiment. Farmers have always been innovators,
Ginger, it looks like you have been an incredibly good influence on your sisters and friend! It reminds me of that quote about dropping a pebble in a pool and watching the ripples emanate from it.
Slo, so great that you have had D1 visiting!
Rava, is today the day the exterminators come?
24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.Dill

Sounds like you're having a great time with your daughter Slo, and getting to visit with a few more of them as well.
You seem to be a good influence on your sisters Ginger, glad to see that they are following you in an AF lifestyle.
Hope the exterminators are successful Rava, do you have to be out of the house for any length of time while they work?
That's pretty cool about the fawn dill, I'm sure you'll get a look at it once it grows a bit and the doe feels it's safe enough for it to be out in the open. It's pretty cool about using the same field to get two crops off in the same year. The soil must be very rich to be able to support both crops.
Feeling a bit nervous this morning but looking forward to having it all done finally.Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
