I guess the election wasn't as close as they thought it would be, although the final tally isn't in yet but it's looking like a new/old president will be back in the Whitehouse. Yes, things didn't go as expected, according to the news. But it's been a long time since I have trusted anything I have seen on the news as relates to politics, so I wasn't particularly surprised by last night's results. I continue to hope for cooler heads and peaceful hearts. I'm hoping we can turn the page and move forward.

I'm spending the day with a friend who is a polar opposite to me politically. We will be fine and have a good time as we share more in common than one would think. It's a matter of choosing to find common ground where we can and agreeing to disagree on others.

My truck goes in for an oil change and tire rotation this morning then I'll get out my hunting stuff and get it ready for our first day of hunting on Saturday. It's chilly this morning with a bit of rain, but I can't complain as its been a fantastic Fall with lots of sun and warm temps. I have to bring 2 of my cats to the vets this morning for their annual vaccines. Can't wait to see that bill! Busy day ahead so there will be no time for alcohol.
