Quiet day here as well. It will be nice to rest after all yesterday's activity. I tried not to eat too much but when you make something for everyone you have to take a small serving of each dish. That makes for a full plate! We ate in the mid afternoon and I couldn't eat anymore for the rest of the day! LOL I can't help but think of Quit wining. He loved cooking and baking. I hope he and his wife are doing ok and that they had a good thanksgiving.

Perhaps I'll venture out to a store this morning. I orders a couple of thins online that are ready for pick up.

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

    Dill

5:27am in Alberta, I'll have 24 more please, and thanks...

Today is going to be a darn good day not to drink!

Sure hope your knee is better this morning Ginger, you might not have much choice with getting it replaced if it continues to give you problems. Sounds like your son's freezers will be filled with wild meat for the winter.

I'll bet there's lots of leftovers from your meal yesterday dill, nothing like turkey on a bun the next day or even another full plate reheated.

Hopefully Mr J gets his deer tagged filled Jude, when does hunting season end there? The season ends today in our area so it's the last opportunity for people to fill their tags. It snowed overnight and is still snowing a bit this morning. Not sure what the highways are like for Adam to drive out as I'm just waiting to hear from him if he's on his way.

Waves to Rava, have a great day y'all!

Be safe if you venture out, ABC. You too, Dill!

My knee is still swollen. I'm going to wrap it and head out to the desert for a couple miles. If I can't at least do that, then it's time to call an ortho doc. Jude, you're right, things could be worse!

          Hey, Rava and Mul!

          I'll take another day!

Dill, I was thinking of Quit Wining as well and hope that he and Mrs. QW are doing OK.

Northern and western N.Y. are getting hammered with Lake effect snow. Most places are measuring the snow in feet, not inches. The Buffalo Bills are supposed to have a home game this weekend, and they are asking for help shoveling the snow off of the field and are paying $20.00 an hour. Any takers? Here at home we're only expecting 6 inches of snow so I guess that we got the better deal.

Today marks one year of sobriety for me and yesterday I picked up my one year chip from AA. Everyone clapped and I got lots of hugs. It made all of the sacrifices that I went through so worth it.

24 more for all of us please.

I hope you enjoyed your outing in the desert and that your knee came thru without further swelling. It's so cold here this week that I really wish I could join you! I got home from my item pick up without any problems, but I was surprised by my reaction to being there in the store crowded with shoppers. I felt very anxious and although I have some things I should have shopped for while there, well, I couldn't get out of that store fast enough! Perhaps I'll try going during the week when hopefully it will be less busy.

Cowboy, cold weather months are the perfect time for the train setup. Do you ever invite friends in to see it? I bet there are folks who would love to see it! I know I would. Mr. D and I used to go to an enormous hardware store in Amish Country called Lehman's in Kidron, Ohio. One of the things we loved about that place was that there was a model train running throughout the store, suspended above our heads. It was a fantastic place to go!

Rava, how is the weather down your way? If you get to a beach anytime soon snap us a picture so we can dream....

Jude, how did Mr. J do? Will he be going out again today? It sounds to me like you folks have seen a bit of snow. Have you? We have had some flurries but the snow has not been significant and hasn't stuck.

Hello Mul, are you still in Hope?

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

Congratulations again Jude, you worked hard for and deserve all the congratulations!

Don't overdue the knee Ginger, best get it looked at as soon as you can.

There have been quite a few friends and family over to see my train setup dill, most are fascinated with all the detail and are amazed at all the things that can be done with a bit of imagination. It's quite amazing to see everything that is available, all the props and pieces in such a small scale to make things realistic. And my setup isn't the smallest scale, mine is HO scale but there is also an N scale which is very small.

Hunting season is over for Adam and I. We did see a few more deer yesterday than we have been seeing, but none that had our name on it lol. There's always next year...

Beautiful balmy 8C day here in the full-on sunshine, haven't had a a bluebird day like this in a while, made getting out into the wilderness that much more majestic! Nice work Jude58 !

Thanks for all of your kind words everyone, and thanks for the cake cowboy!

Dill, some places up North and to the west of us have been hit hard with Lake Effect snow and many spots have 4 feet of snow or more. We are only supposed to get 3-6 inches of snow here which is certainly manageable.

Sorry that you didn't get a deer this year cowboy, but as you said there's always next year.

I'm in for another day of freedom...

Good morning Cafe and huge congrats to Jude! One year is amazing! Cowboy, sorry about not getting that deer but we know you will be searching for one next season. Ginger, I hope your knee is better but my gut tells me it’s not. Getting old sucks!!! Dill, glad you got out of that store before you became evil. LOL. We used to live near an outlet mall and we found the best time to shop during the holidays was during the week around 6 pm. Might want to see if that holds true for where you live. I completely forgot to post yesterday. Wishing everyone a great and sober day. 24 more please and thank you. Hi to Mul too!

Today is the annual Christmas Luncheon in honor of auxiliary board members. No wonder people put on the pounds at this time of year! Sigh.

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.
