I don't mind mowing, Ginger. We have riding lawn mowers and I kind of enjoy the process. And of course, it's lovely when it's finished! Great news about your sis! I bet it helps you both to have each other's support and company in the quit.

Loved that quote, Jude. It's good to practice gratitude every day.

    Hi, Cowboy, Slo, and Rava!

    Let's all have a great, sober 24!

My daughter graduates next weekend with a degree in Communications.

I went in again and had laser treatments and chiropractic manipulation to the bottom of my foot (the one that has to walk on the weird built-up shoe plus a lift plus orthotic) to break up scar tissue, heal plantar fasciitis, and get the stuck calcanius (sp.?) bone moving. I hope it will heal.

I saw a lot of alligators when I visited down in the Everglades once.

So proud of your sis, Ginger!

I won’t start feeling better for a long time. Sadly, I’ve really done it to myself now, with this B6 toxicity, and I think also calcium deficiency, from the dumb “health” diet I was doing for so long. But, hopefully I can slowly, eventually heal pretty much over the next couple years.

I get to play cards tonight! I’m a sub for a hand & foot card game.

So your neuropathy was actually caused by B6 toxicity? That's so crazy. You have to be so careful with supplements and alternative medicine, I've found. Just because something is "natural", doesn't mean it can't have all kinds of side effects etc. I remember taking a high B vitamin mult-vit one time and it started giving me heart palpitations. These days I try to stay away from all that stuff, and just eat/live as healthy as I can. And only take something if I've really researched it.

Still getting gorgeous spring weather here, I know you need the rain Cowboy but I'm really enjoying this stretch of nice weather! Everything is so green and in bloom now too, it's fabulous!

Mulburry, I agree with you about being careful as far as taking supplements. I don't believe that any of them are regulated by the FDA, yet the store shelves are jam packed with vitamins and supplements. Crazy...

          24 more please...

I agree that one must be careful taking supplements. I hope you can reverse your neuropathy over time Slo. It seems you hear about neuropathy treatments all the time on the TV these days.

More mowing today, this time not the yard but in a valley down behind our house where we sometimes cook out and the kids used to camp.

I went to the local library yesterday to try out their weekly exercise group. They were doing an aerobic workout, and I found it quite challenging. I have not been keeping up with my walking in quite some time and I am feeling it!

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

I don't mind mowing grass either dill, we don't need a ride on, but our lawn mower is self-propelled with electric start. I love the smell of fresh cut grass as well.

I haven't been home since we started seeding Ginger, but if the rain stays in the forecast it looks like I'll get to go home at least for Monday and Monday evening. That's great that your sister is still AF!

I stay away from all those supplements as well Mulburry, one never knows what the side effects are.

Waves to Jude, Rava, and Slo... Lets all stay on the straight and narrow this weekend!

Good morning Cafe. Slo, I hope you start feeling better soon. Hope the laser treatments will have a positive outcome. Ginger, I will have to look up Bad Monkey. I have not heard of that show. Also great news about your little sister staying sober. Hi to Jude, Dill, Mul and Cowboy. I am hoping to see daughter #1 later today. Wishing everyone a great and sober day! 24 more please and thank you.

Is your daughter visiting Florida, Rava?

You people are so wise about being suspicious of supplements and fad diets! Yes, it seems that I have caused my own neuropathy through a high B6 diet plus some supplements. Mul, you are right about the alt-med world. They are really into supplements. And yes, they are unregulated, and they put excessive amounts into them.
And it turns out my neuropathy is also likely from low calcium on this dumb diet. We were all assured that lowering our high vitamin A level would even out our calcium levels. Low calcium levels on my hair tests were ignored due to their beliefs (I have recently been tipped off about this.)
I also have sacral nerve damage in my lower spine that might just be its own thing, and not very treatable.
I have been such a fool, and have really screwed up my life and health by trying to “get healthy”. Thankfully you are all much wiser.

I get to go to granddaughter’s outdoor birthday party later today!

Slo. I love Hand and Foot! Wish we were closer. We could get a group together.

I had a doc tell me once, you can take supplements but all it does is make expensive pee. Sadly, Slo, your story disproves that in a negative way!

Dill, my little sister says mowing is cathartic for her. Guess shes not alone!

ABC, enjoy your time with Bubba, if it rains!

Hey Mul, I'm sure enjoying out PNW weather too. It's been windy on our hill but gorgeous. I'm hoping to start some short hikes soon. Fingers crossed!

Hi Jude! How are your kitties? Cyrus is happy to be back in the big house. Lol He prefers to be under his chair rather than on it. Cats

Headed to the mountains to play with the greats! They are camping this weekend. FUN!!!

I'll take another day of freedom!
