Oh Jude, my condolences on the loss of your dog. The suddenness must make it really hard to process. My heart goes out to you.

Jod, Thank you for the assistance. I used the link and placed an order for the diamond art to try out with my granddaughter. One for me, and one for her.

Mul, we've had an abundance this year too. But on the down-side, we seem to have an abundance of ticks this year as well. Be careful out there if you are having the same! I have found 3 crawling on me in the last two weeks!

Do you all remember me mentioning a doe hanging close to the house and barn recently that we thought had given birth? Well, we finally saw the young and there were twins! She is still in the vicinity but ranging a little further now that they are more able to get around.

Waves to Cowboy, Rava, Ginger, and Slo.

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.
    Dill

Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!

If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

Good morning Cafe. Techie it sounds like you have been very busy. I wonder if I have read any of Mrs. Techies books. Glad you both were ok after your accident. Jude, I am so sorry about your dog. They are like family and it’s so hard to part with them. Slo I am very excited for your new condo. I bet it is full of light. I know your current condo does not bring you any joy. I hope it all works out for you. Ginger and Dill, the diamond painting is fun. I have had cataracts removed and use reading glasses and a little light pad under my work so I can see it better. Light pads are cheap less than 20.00 and really help bring out the canvas to make it easier to see. I am feeling good this week and starting to do new and different things in the evenings to keep the boozy thoughts out of my brain. Our neighborhood is in full swing so after dinner we have been taking our golf cart down to the pond with our kindles and reading for about an hour in the quiet. Grandsons spending the night tonight. Tomorrow will be 1 week booze free. My thoughts this week have not been full of shame and remorse and my general attitude is definitely improved. I will concentrate on the positives! Hope everyone has a great Saturday. 24 more please and thank you!

So sad about your dog Jude, we get so attached to them and it's hard to let them go.

Great news about the new condo Slo, is it in the same neighborhood? I'm sad to say the Oilers lost out in Game 6, so the Florida Panthers are back to back Stanley Cup Champions.

Not sure what all we have for wild berries around here Mulburry except for saskatoons and chokecherries. There should be an abundance of them this year since we didn't get any late frosts this year.

Sounds like you've had a very busy year techie! If your wife writes mysteries then I've probably read a few of her books. And good to hear you both were okay after your accident.

I spend a lot of evenings reading as well Rava, it's a nice way to relax and help me sleep.

I love watching the wildlife as well dill and must be pretty cool to see the twins cavort around with their mother.

Yes, hopefully we'll get back out to the cabin next weekend Ginger, Adam is hoping that he'll have it completed by the fall.

Oh, Jude; now you have lost two dogs in quick succession! That is such a shame, and a lot to bear at once. I’m so sorry.

I had four showings yesterday, and one is writing an offer. I hope they don’t lowball me!

Good luck, Slo! Around here things are selling fast and over asking. Hopefully, the same is true for your area!!

Oh, Jude...I'm so so sorry. The quickness is just horrible. My thoughts go out to you and hubby.

Techie, I'd read that book, if you wrote it! Bullet points leave me with a million questions. Come back soon! Id love to hear more.

Jod, thank you for making that change! I wonder if that setting could have anything to do with Jude58, truncating posts?? Hmmm, it makes this retired DB admin wonder

Mul, your talk of all those wild berries brings back so many memories of hiking with my boys when they were young. In the fall, we'd be knee deep in huckleberries. It was awesomely delicious and so much fun. Our dog would even pick and eat them. It was hilarious.

Dill, that back light might just be the ticket for both of us. Your granddaughter will love it. Post pics when you're done with them.

Rava, does your pond have anything in it? It sounds like a lovely place to sit and end the day AF!

ABC, next summer will be nothing but fun at the lake then? Awesome!

I'm hoping Quit wining checks in! Id love an update from him too.

its a cool cloudy day in the PNW. Perfect day for sewing a couple of things for my g-gkids rooms. Fingers crossed. Its something I've never done before!

I'll take another day of freedom!

So many different berries in the world! I love berry season.

I stopped posting earlier because I got an offer, and a contract in the works! But now, I was just informed that the buyers have cold feet. I am so bummed!! I am getting so few nibbles on this. This is a dangerous game now, as I have already signed the contract for the new one.

Techie, as usual, you have a lot going on. Can’t wait to hear more.

I saw the podiatrist yesterday, and he said there are no bone deformities in my foot! He injected a cortisone shot for a wicked case of plantar fasciitis, and ordered physical therapy since I walk wrong on that foot due to the built-up sole mixed with the neuropathy.

It is so hot & humid here this weekend. The neighborhood picnic was canceled.

Do you mind me asking where roughly you're located (I'm sure you mentioned before and I've forgotten). We always get warnings, and I'm always wary of ticks but I've never actually seen one and I go out in the bush quite a bit; I don't think they're nearly as common in the pacific northwest as in the East.

That reminds me of our neighbors Chow Chow growing up, would also eat berries (and try to steal food off he counter, haha). Speaking of, sorry about losing yours Jude, that's rough.
Huckleberries are so good (much better than saskatooon's which I find a bit too sweet), but a lot harder to find, there are some but usually in higher terrain.

Good morning Cafe. Slo, Fingers crossed that the condo will sell quickly. Maybe that couple with cold feet will come right back. I am hoping for the best! Grandsons spent the night and all worked out well. No problems and we had a good time. We watched a movie and had popcorn which made everyone happy and caught 2 crabs on the dock. We have them today until after lunch. Hope everyone has a great day! 24 more please and thanks.

Jude, I see you are still struggling with your loss. I hope it will ease up in the next few days. But I definitely know what you are going through and you have my deepest sympathy.

Mul, I live in southwestern Ohio and I think you are right that we have more issues with ticks out this way. I'm not sure why. Mr. D had one crawling on him yesterday as he sat in his chair reading on his laptop!! Very disconcerting. The hay never got mowed until 2 days ago and I think it's part of the problem. The dog runs everywhere even though I might caution her about the ticks being in the high grass. She simply doesn't care! LOL Of course she is treated and the ticks and fleas are not a problem to her. I was thinking about asking my doc if I could take the dogs meds....

Rava, I'm going to get that light board for sure. Thanks for the tip! Ginger, Mr. D has magnifiers that he uses for his electronic work, and he gladly lets me use them. He has two sets. They rest on the crown of the head and flip up and down as needed. I use them for sewing these days on the rare occasions that I sew. I will use them for the diamond art.

Slo, please don't distress yourself about your condo selling. I somehow feel like it will work out just fine. And worry won't help one way or the other!

Techie, hope to see you soon so we can start on your first bullet point!

Coffee's on everyone. Waiting for Cowboy to work his magic.

24 more, please an thank you.

Mul, we have ticks here, east of the Cascades. On the west side hardly any due to all the rain. Everyone, if you've never been to Washington state, you should. It's such a diverse state and an outdoorsman (or woman) paradise! We've got about everything, from mountains to desert to ocean! That sounded like a vistor center commercial.

Slo, those people's feet may warm back up! I'm confident it will sell.

Jude, thinking of you and your loss. Have you heard from your Sister?

Rava, that sounds like so much fun with your grands. How were the crab?

ABC, a well deserved relaxing weekend! Thanks for breakfast!

Dill. Do you know where Mr D got his glasses? I might try a pair.

Off to gg-daughter's second bday party. Her Mom requested an elephant to hang on her bedroom wall so that's what I did yesterday. I don't like his little eyes but my gdaughter picked these eyes so they stay!

I'll take another day of freedom!
