I'm a tentative excited about harvest Jude if that makes any sense. The training on the new headers went well, but man are they huge! It's going to take a bit of time getting used to for sure.
Corey will give the peas a try sometime this morning and see if they are ready. If they are I'll be packing up the rest of the things I need and head to the farm.

Most of my pics were video so wouldn't upload either, Rava. There wasn't enough wind yesterday so the larger kites were grounded. Today will be a better kite flying day they predict. The caterpillar is at least the length of a football field. I hope it's up today!

Cowboy, I'm sure that you can handle any piece of farm equipment even if it's humongous.
The cat scratch is healing and the swelling is going down. I wash the wound and put an antibiotic on it twice a day which seems to be working.

Yikes, those are some mean looking waves Rava! Definitely would not be swimming in that. As far as I know, the only way to post videos is via youtube and you'd have to set up an account there in order to do that, but it's easy and free.
Sounds like you're doing what's needed to get that scratch healed up Jude, just in time to go back and get another one haha. I'll get some pics and videos of the new header in action, but to put it into perspective, our house lot in town is 50' wide so the header wouldn't fit in between the fences in our backyard lol.
That brings a whole new meaning to making sandcastles Ginger! Would love to see that huge caterpillar kite in the air, wonder how many guys it takes to hold onto the kite string lol.
Off to the farm today after my dentist appointment. Apparently, the lab needs a better impression in order to repair my lower partial so I head there first for an 8;30 appointment, then off to the camper to unload the rest of my stuff, make a lunch, then to the yard to start moving equipment over to get the 2025 harvest underway.

It should be windy today so I'll try to get a video of the caterpillar in the air. Last year there was a killer whale that size in the air. Amazing! The large ones are usually tied off to a vehicle or two. Sometimes the gusts even move the rig. Kinda crazy.
Rava, have fun with the grands! A car show on a rainy day sounds fun.

Thanks Ginger and Rava for those great pics. The ocean waves look really scary and the Sand Castle and catepillar kite are unbelievable! So glad you both shared. I still haven't had time to figure out why I was unable to post the last picture I tried to post. I'll work on it soon. I had taken a picture of my stuffed poppers. Nothing dramatic like your photos, but just wanted to include it for the fun. But I just couldn't get it to work. I've done it before, so I know I can do it. I just need to figure it out.
Cowboy, the machinery you operate is so intimidating to me!! I thank you for your skills and talents!

Wow Ginger, the kite fest looks amazing! The fish kites look like they're swimming in the sky instead of the ocean. Very cool.
We have company coming over the next couple of days so it looks like I'll be doing lots of cleaning this morning. Maybe I'll find time to make apple bread. The picking season has just begun for the local apple orchards, something that I've always looked forward to every year.

Good morning Cafe. The hurricane is moving north and hopefully the flooding will get better. We had no flooding but many places did. The boys did not want to go to the car show so Mr R and I took them storm chasing. We watched the huge waves and then got pelted by sand and wind. That is definitely an experience they will remember! LOL. Dill we saw Bad Guys 2. (Horrible for adults but kids liked it). The popcorn was about the best part for me. Cowboy, hope your dental appointment goes well. It will be nice to have a good smile with teeth!! Ginger, I loved your video. Absolutely beautiful! Seeing all those floating kites must have been so cool.
