If you weren't so far away Rava, I'd be more than happy to fix the leak under your kitchen sink lol.

Maybe you're right about giving it a couple more weeks Jude, but don't stay just because you think they will be short staffed if you leave.

Cholesterol problems run in my family as well dill, thankfully mine isn't a major concern yet.

We're not quite 1/2 done yet Ginger so there's still a couple of weeks to go.

We had a nice visit with our AZ friends. The ladies were sipping white wine but I only saw one guy drinking beer but he's aways drinking beer. I ate light and had three small desserts. Yum!

I mentioned yesterday that a post of mine was unapproved. I'm wondering if that meant no one in the Cafe saw it. If so, my answer to your original question about the cholesterol issue wasn't seen by you. In it, I mentioned a bit of my history and what medications I was on. I mentioned to you that my doc had me try a generic version of Zetia which works by blocking the absorption of cholesterol from the intestinal tract. That seemed to help a lot and I've had to trouble tolerating it.

I sent a private message to Jod asking why my post yesterday was "unapproved". I'll let you know if I get a response.

Well, I did get a very prompt response from Jod regarding my unapproved post. (Thank you again, Jod!) He explained that it was a mystery to him as well and chalked it up to inheriting a bit of a mess when he took on his admin role. He said he had no idea why my post was unapproved, but he immediately removed the prohibition and the post is now visible to all. It is a September 8 post.

Jude, I see what you mean about the flag button being next to the like button. I suppose it would be easy to accidentally hit the wrong one. Heck...I might have even hit it myself! LOL

Cowboy, I'm glad cholesterol hasn't been an issue for you in spite of it running in your family. Are your new lower teeth in now and if so how are you doing with them? You may've already mentioned it and I somehow missed it.

Rava, I have read different theories about cholesterol too and think that they make a lot of sense. I think likely cholesterol being elevated isn't always a problem, but in my case I had other issues including coronary artery disease that would likely have worked in combination with it to give me problems. So, I chose to follow my doctor's advice. She's kept me going well past the age my Grandmother died. She had a major heart attack at 55!

Good morning Cafe. Dill, i would be interested in the unapproved post. Maybe Jude is right about the flag button? Until then it’s a mystery! Well the plumber came yesterday and said we needed a new faucet. He brings one in from his truck that was like 24 inches high. Remember I have a tiny home. To make a long story short, Mr R and I went to Home Depot and bought a smaller one for 100.00. Mr. R you tubed it and fixed it. I guess we will just have to pay a service call but not 600 for a new faucet. He said they mark up everything 31%. That is crazy. Hope everyone has a great and sober day. 24 more please and thank you!

It's crazy how much taps can cost Rava, but I've never seen one for $600! Glad Mr R was able to replace it.

I'm only taking meds for cholesterol and thyroid dill. I've been on my thyroid meds since I was around 25, the cholesterol only for a few years now.

I went back and read your post, Dill. Thanks for the explanation about your cholesterol journey. It's hard for me with having two drs with completely opposing views about cholesterol. Hmmmm

Rava, good for you guys! That's a ridiculous cost for a faucet. I hope that's the last of your home repairs! When will you head back to Florida?

I'm off to exercise then lunch with SIL and hubby. We are volunteering for her at the Central Washington State Fair. She runs Lost Tots and we need background checks. I'll take another day of freedom!

Peaches is now called Peanut, but I'm sure that her name will change a few more times before we settle on a permanent one. She is still very shy but gets a little less afraid every day. She's even started playing so I know that she is feeling better, but it's going to take awhile before she trusts us.

Rava, $600.00 for a new faucet? That's insane! I'm grateful that Mr. J is so handy as he saves us a lot of money by doing the repairs himself.

Good morning Cafe. The 600.00 faucet is for the faucet, installation and service charge. I am glad we saved that price. The door gets fixed next week. I am told by my contractor that the glass company does not believe that it cracked on its own so our contractor has to pay the labor which is 400.00. Since our contractor is our SIL we will pay him for that fee. Pisses me off that I know nothing hit the glass because I was sitting 6 inches from it. Some things you just can win but I will be writing the owner. I was up all night thinking about the Ukrainian girl and the murder of Charlie Kirk. Our country is so broken and it makes me so sad that people are so full of hate. I need to stay off social media more. Going to the gym to burn off my negative energy. 24 more please and thank you.

It seems like there's a lot more crazy people in the world today Rava, such a young age to be gone.

Peaches to Peanuts, that's a good change Jude. I'm sure whatever name you finally settle on will suit her perfectly.

I'll have to scroll back and find that post dill. At least Jod was quick on the reply to you. I got a call from the dentist's office yesterday, my teeth are back and my appointment is next Tuesday. Sure hope they got them repaired properly.

That's great that you're volunteering for your SIL Ginger, how long does the fair run for?

With any luck, we should be able to finish up the wheat today, then just 2900 acres of canola left. Hopefully it's ready!
