Wow, that's a lot of alligators Rava, looks like they took over sunbathing on that stretch of beach haha.

Both the newcomers now have their licenses and they got insurance and registration on the car that was donated to them so they can now get around town on their own.

No sun here for past few days, everyday we get just a light dusting of snow but the leaf blower takes care of it just fine. Supposed to turn bitter cold Sunday night so that should bring some sunshine with it.

ABC, that's great news for the family! Thank you for helping them.

Well, my middle son and his wife put an offer on a property in Costa Rica and it was excepted right before they left. It has two homes on it and is an 8 minute drive to the ocean. Looks like mama is goin' to CR! Whoot whoot!

Waves to all! I'll take another day of freedom

Oh my goodness, Ginger! What exciting news! I can't wait to see pictures of your travels.

Rava, that definitely does not look like a safe beach. Pool a wise choice.

The newcomers have a lot of blessings to count thanks to the kindness of strangers. Being able to drive will help them so much to get settled.

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

I’m just in a really bad funk, and in a lot of pain especially in right knee from the neuropathy. Just can’t seem to get any better.

Ginger, there’s even an extra house for you in Costa Rica! Wee!

I have a Sperti Vitamin D sun lamp. It is to be used for 4-5 minutes per day. It is not calming.

All is not well on the Florida beaches, Rava!

Thanks for the valentine, Cowboy! I was able to watch a full four of my grandchildren unpack their valentine treats from classmates that they brought home from preschool & daycare! Well, one was just a little brother sharing in the haul. It was all new & fun to them!

          24 more AF hours anyways

Ginger, awesome news about having a new vacation spot to go to. Do you think that the second house will fit all of the cafe members into it?

Great news about your friends being able to get around town now that they have their licenses. Thank you for helping them cowboy!

Sounds to me like your passport is going to come in pretty handy in the future Ginger. It must be a nice place if it has 2 houses on it.

I'll bet those gkids were more than excited about the Valentines candy Slo, as long as they didn't get sick from eating too much at once lol. Sorry to hear about the funk you're in, hopefully it'll go away quickly.

Not much new to report here. The oldest daughter and their Great Dane made it safely to her mom's house last night after the 2 day drive from Vancouver. I guess she has started a new chapter in her life, and I'm grateful that she's only an hour away now so we should get to see her a lot more often.

                  Have a great Sunday everyone!

ABC, I'm glad daughter is there, safe and sound! My kids are home too. It's a long trip to and from Costa Rica.

The house is basically rural and very basic but I'm sure we'd all fit!

Greetings to all my pals! I'll take another day of freedom!

Thanks for another awesome breakfast, Cowboy! Glad your daughter arrived safely to her new beginning.

Sorry you're having so much pain, Slo. Hopefully the Valentine video took your mind off it for awhile.

I guess we all need to keep our passports active now that Ginger has some great new digs in Costa Rica!

Beautiful place in Costa Rica, Ginger! Thanks for sharing.

That’s how I thought I’d be living now: traveling to places like Costa Rica, exercising, taking all the little grandchildren on excursions; helping out my daughters, and being an active grandma. Enjoying life! Instead I have become a partial invalid who can’t even take a walk outside…once one of my main loves. Travel is useless because I can’t do much of anything, and the money I would have used for travel is now going to healthcare to try to fix this, because insurance won’t cover my treatments. Unless I was of Medicare age; then it would! So I pay nearly $1000 per month on insurance that I can’t use for what I need it for, plus $34,000 out-of-pocket last year and continuing on, to try to get better, or to at least forestall slipping into the next stage, which is irreversible neuropathy.
I lost my big beautiful home to divorce because he said I had to keep the whole thing clean and running all by myself, with no hired cleaning help to defray all that work, and I just couldn’t do it all anymore. Thought I could manage a condo on my own, but am struggling mightily against the pain & fatigue & limitations of this broken body, and can’t quite manage this either.
I have an appointment to look at living in an independent living facility. I will be old enough to qualify to live there next year. Never thought I’d be disabled like this, and am shocked and so sad & frustrated.

Nice of your ex-wife to take in the Great Dane as well, Cowboy. Yikes! Thanks for the hearty breakfast.

I picked Huxley up from daycare on Thursday, so saw him open his valentines that night. On Friday I saw the other grandkids in person when a car repair appointment didn’t take long (part needs to be ordered), so I ended up continuing on to their house from the dealership, since was halfway there.

Thanks for listening. Another AF day for me.

Geez Slo, I'm so sorry to hear about your troubles. I didn't realize that you had so many health issues, which can definitely affect your quality of life. Hopefully, you can find a low maintenance place to live, such as assisted living. It sucks getting old!

Ginger, I've got my bags packed and am ready to go to Costa Rica! Nice house!

Looking forward to another 24 hours of serenity...

Love the tile, flooring and all the vegetation. So private and cozy. I cant wait to see pictures from when you visit. Looks amazing! Slo, so very sorry you are in so much pain. I hope you find relief for it as well as another place to live that is more manageable. Hi to Jude and Dill! Hope everyone has a good and sober day. 24 more please and thank you.

Slo, I didn't realize the extent of your physical problems. I'm so sorry you have so much to contend with. Glad you have your grandkids to focus your attention on.

Ginger, I took a look at the link to the property and it is stunning!

Cowboy, what does your daughter's Dane look like? Maybe you could share a picture sometime?

Snow, bitter cold and wind here in the Ohio Valley. I'm begging for Spring to head our way sooner rather than later! Hope that groundhog got it right.
