Bitter cold here too (high of 5F, low of -10F, “Feels like” of -16F). Which made looking again at Ginger’s pictures of the Costa Rica place all the more…warming! Like a nice break from this weather.

Getting old does indeed suck, Jude! I was hoping to do it more gracefully, without outright disabilities. But, I watch seemingly healthy people around me suddenly getting cancer and dying, or getting early dementia and needing caregivers until their early demise comes; or getting Parkinson’s…a lot can go wrong, and I’m grateful that I don’t have those conditions, anyways.

Your daughter gave her dog your same name, Cowboy?! Interesting! There might be a story in there!

An AF Monday is ahead for me.

I found some pics of Amana and Bruce. Just to give you an idea of the size of Bruce, Amanda is an even 6 feet tall. Not sure why they named him Bruce (they usually call him Brucie Bear) but they did phone me and asked me if it was okay if they named him that lol. This is their 3rd. rescue Dane.

Bruce is really handsome, and your daughter is stunning, Cowboy! Thanks for sharing those photos. Wow, that's a lot of dog! That's nice that they checked with you before naming him. Some people would be offended so it's good they checked.

Jude, we're closing in on the final day of your job, aren't we?

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

I'm sure Amanda would appreciate all the compliments so I'll thank y'all on her behalf. Sounds like Bruce is starting to get used to the cold and snow now, Amanda did buy him some "winter wear" and said he loves playing in the snowbanks lol.

Enjoyed the pics of your beautiful daughter and her majestic dog, Cowboy. Good that Brucie is adapting to his new climate. Snow is fun to play in.

I got lots of paperwork gathered and printed for taxes. Kind of a job, as I had a complicated real estate year, as I panicked when I was losing my physical abilities, so sold my condo and bought a smaller one; but hated it, so had to sell that one and scramble to get this one back in my original neighborhood. I think I found enough documentation of everything.

Rava, I hope you enjoy your volunteer job today, and Jude, hope your last days as a care provider go well.

24 more hours of freedom from AL please.

Yup, my last day of work is next Wednesday and I'm really looking forward to it! My first order of business is a trip to the beach in Florida with my sisters for 2 weeks at the end of March. I've never been to Florida and am looking forward to it!

Good luck doing your taxes Rava, sounds like they might be kind of complicated. I always make Mr. J do our taxes.

Mr. D downloaded Turbotax for 2024 yesterday. He does the honors here. I am his assistant.

Slo, yours sound a might complicated. I hope all goes well and I believe it will. Hope even more that it is not too overwhelming or stressful.

Come the weekend our temps should finally be in the normal range once again. It will feel like a day at the beach!

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

We use an accountant for our taxes Slo, if it was just personal tax we'd do it ourselves, but with the business it's too complicated for us to do.

Retirement in just a week Jude, I'll bet you're looking forward to that day! And 2 weeks in the sun with your sisters will be an awesome way to celebrate, best take lots of sunscreen!

We're also warming up by the weekend dill, temps are supposed to be well above the freezing mark. I'm definitely going to be doing some cooking outside, just haven't decided what I'll cook yet lol.

Waves to the rest of the gang, have a great day y'all!
