That's a beautiful pic of the full moon Ginger, I can see why he turned professional!

Thankfully we don't have that kind of wind Jude, it would make it unbearable to be outside with the cold weather. It's a good thing our temps didn't get as cold as they forecast and we've had very little wind lately.

It sounds like Rama (the lady) passed her test and now has her Alberta Driver's License, but Hayyan (the fellow) didn't pass. He's booked back in this afternoon to give it another go. They both had international driver's licenses but are used to driving on the right hand side so it's been quite an adjustment for them.

Good morning Cafe. Cowboy, sorry about your daughter, but that was very strong of her to know what she wants in her life and making it happen. I give her credit for that. Ginger, your friends picture is really good. I thought about the full moon last night and then never went out to look at it. Jude, hope the winds damned down for you. Waves to Dill, Slo, and Mul. 24 more for us all!

There, now you saw the full moon, Dill! Ginger showed it to you! I was out driving that night and saw it, in time before the clouds came and covered most of it up.

          That’s some strong wind, Jude!

Cowboy, that’s good progress if at least one of them has gotten their driver’s license now. How kind of you to be helping Syrian refugees resettle.
So sorry about your daughter. I didn’t realize that your ex-wife lives rather close to you. Well, I live quite close to my ex-husband as well.
I hope it will end up being a positive after the dust has settled to have your daughter living closer to you now.

I had to have a handyman in this morning because my closet doors got jammed and broken yesterday. Luckily he had an opening for today.

After my medical appointment today, I will pick up my grandson from daycare and take him to dinner and a play place. His parents have an important phone appointment about the surrogacy that they are pursuing.

Time to go use my sun lamp! I can’t go to the beach like Rava did to get my vitamin D! Certainly not with all the snow that dumped on us yesterday and overnight.

I posted yesterday but apparently I didn't remember to click the send button!

Ginger, that moon picture is awesome! Thanks for sharing that. It' been so cloudy here there is no way for us to see the moon. The picture was a great substitute.

Sorry to hear your daughter's relationship did not work out, Cowboy. It will be nice for you to have her nearby tho. It' very nice of you to be helping the Syrian couple adjust to life in Canada. It's good that at least one of them passed and now they can do some things more independently. I'm sure the Mr. will eventually pass.

Slo, late last night the clouds finally parted and the moon, tho no longer quite full, shone bright. I had to get up in the middle of the night so I got the opportunity to enjoy the moonlight, finally! I hope your new lamp worked well and gave you a boost. Does the light from the lamp feel calming or is it just like any other lamplight? How much time under the lamp is recommended?

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!

If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

Slo, does the sun lamp seem to help? My doctor wants me to get one as she said it can really help with depression. I'll have to look into it.

Cowboy, it must be so hardest to move to another country, and I think that it's great that your helping a family adjust to the ways of our country.

Looks like grocery shopping is on the to do list today, not my favorite thing to do but we gotta eat.

I'm ready for another day of freedom!

Good morning Cafe. Slo, sounds like you had a nice day with your grandson. Hope the surrogacy meeting went well. My day at the beach was cut extremely short by red tide. There were dead fish all over the beach and it smelled to high heaven. By the time they scooped the dead fish off, I had left. Red tide causes burning in your throat and coughing, not to mention the horrible smell of dead fish. I ended up leaving and spent the day at the pool instead. Hope everyone has a good Valentine’s Day. We don’t celebrate but I know others that go hog wild. 24 more please and thank you.

We have become quite good friends with them and their 2 children helping them adapt to life in Canada. They went and got their Learner's License a week ago and I've been riding along with them the past week getting ready for their Driver's License Road test which they take today. Hopefully at least one of them will pass and gain a bit more independence rather than always having to depend on someone else to drive them to wherever they need going.
That's fantastic Cowboy! So great to see someone show kindness to foreigners and give them a helping hand to get a leg up (as opposed to different approaches like deportation and imprisonment).

I have used a daylight box / SAD lamp in the past but I've found that it hasn't been that effective for me; it seems like it gives me a little boost while I'm under it and shortly after (more energizing than calming I'd say) but not really long term; it's just no match for the real thing (an actual sunny day). It does seem to work well for some people though. You're typically supposed to use it for about 15-20min in the morning.

Thanks for the info on the light box Mulburry. Hopefully now that the days are getting longer and Spring will be here soon so maybe I won't need one.

Holy crap Rava, I don't think that I'd want to sun bathe with a bunch of gators next to me!
