Good morning Cafe. Driving back to our condo this morning from visiting our son and meeting his new girlfriend. The traffic is much better this morning than it was yesterday afternoon. We almost had an accident when someone cut into our lane. Scared the crap out of both of us. People drive like race car drivers. Looks like we are going to get some rain today. Sounds like a good day to read. Ginger have fun painting today. Cowboy I want to see a pic of that shovel when it comes and thank you for breakfast. Hi to Jude, Mul and Dill. The roads are dangerous, that's for sure, Rava! Lots of seniors with diminishing driving skills and lots of young people in a hurry. Bad combo! Be careful out there! Thanks for sharing your tech tip about airplane mode. I don't have a kindle. My books are on my phone in the libby app. I'm going to check and see if that library mode tip works when I have a book on my phone that is almost due back to the library and I'm not quite finished.

Cowboy, there is plenty of winter left for you to give that shovel a workout. But technically, winter hasn't even begun!!! Thanks for that great breakfast. YUMMY!

Jude, Your meal sounds just delicious! I took a similar approach for the visit with the in-laws. I had a big pot of chili in the crockpot and I made cornbread to go with it. And guess what we had for dessert...... Carrot Cake! We all enjoyed the visit. I'm so glad they came!

I'm kind of anxiously awaiting the arrival of the shovel Jude, if it works as good as the neighbor's does, I might get another one for Bubba.

I'm also curiuos about the shovel, like how does it work, what does it actually do?

-20C no thanks. It's often windy here and that's no fun at all. It's actually supposed to be 14C here tomorrow if you can believe it... but, yup you guessed it, more rain.

A good friend of mine fell last week and broke her hip. She's had surgery and is now settled in at a rehab facility. I am going to see if she is up for a visitor today. I know she was in a great deal of pain last week and didn't want visitors.

Good morning Cafe. Dill if you put your phone in airplane mode you will not get any calls. Maybe you could consider a kindle for Christmas. They are super easy to see even outside. I am on my second one. They hold so many books. Good morning to everyone and Happy Monday. 24 more please and thank you!

It's like a mini snowblower that has a handle like a shovel Mulburry. They say it's good for snow up to 6" but I'd use my regular snowblower for that much snow. It looks like the cat's meow for those small snowfalls that the leaf blower won't handle.

It's insane the amount of traffic there is now Rava. Adam and I usually comment when we're driving anywhere about how many more vehicles are on the roads today compared to even 20 years ago, and they all seem to be newer cars! I trust my driving to get me where I'm going safely, but you never know about the other drivers. I'll take a pic the electric shovel when it gets here so everyone can have a gander.

Hopefully the shovel shows up today or tomorrow Jude as there's more snow in the forecast for Wednesday and then again on Friday and Saturday.

What day this week is the surgery Ginger, I know you mentioned it but I forgot already lol.

Hopefully you'll be able to see your friend today dill, bones don't heal up as quick as when we were younger. The elderly widow across the street fell and broke her hip last winter, she was in the hospital for almost 6 weeks before they'd let her go home.

Not much on my agenda for today, a tiny bit of snow overnight but the leaf blower will handle it just fine.

Surgery is tomorrow ABC. They call today with the time. I'm all set.

Rava, driving is crazier here in AZ than back home. Snowbird drivers makes the locals crazy and things can get dicey. We stay off the busy freeways whenever possible because of that.

Dill, sorry about your friend. I hope she's able to rehab and get back home soon!
