Trying to stay positive 'cos it has served me well. But Mother is not too good.
Passing blood & needs a transfusion until they can figure out where it's coming from. They'll try wait till Monday if not, she'll be transferred to hospital.
Any protection from the virus will be gone once hospital is added to the equation.
Sending light and prayer x

It’s an old term. A root cellar or earth cellar is a structure, usually underground or partially underground, used for storage of vegetables, fruits, nuts, or other foods

Feeling really depressed Mr A unconscious but still stable and out of pain.
Stepped out of back door for a minute loved the fresh air. Didn't crave alcohol but really wanted a cigarette.
Arghh. District trained nurses had the vaccine but most (untrained but kind carers refused the vaccine or the testing)

Oh bless you brit, that is so desperately hard. You must be exhausted and completely spent. I am not surprised you are craving something to take away feelings. Much love coming your way

Oh Brit, really feel for you. Know you said that your daughter had gone back to Norway but hope you have your other girls. Wish we were close enough to give you some practical help. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Hugs winging your way MsA :hug:

Whatever about vaccine - I thinks carers should be obliged to be tested if they want to work with vulnerable people..

GOOD LUCK TODAY/TOMORROW JC!!!

Oh Good Lord!
It just keeps giving, doesn't it?

I'm sorry Satz, It's been just one big worry with Mum, hasn't it? I hope she's OK.

Techie, I won't tell you what a root cellar is where mr G and I live, but I would certainly go there if you have one. I feel so lucky and almost selfish to live where I do. We've had a local outbreak but it's NOTHING like I hear you guys talking about. It strikes me that it's a tiny bit like dealing with alcohol. Pluggin on day by day and responding as per information. Sometiimes minute by minute to manage one's anxiety about it. Not much of a trad prayer person, but you have what I can offer there.

I checked the leaflet that is on the gov website and found that there are discrepancies with what is on the leaflet for patients and the one that is for healthcare professionals. The one for professionals confirmed that contraindications with existing medicines was unkown. Affects on fertility were unkown but this was not on the hand out for patients. I think this was for the pfizer jab. It is the long term effects I am worried about although not fertility obv :haha:

I borrowed a friends clippers and did all his legs and undercarriage as we get so muddy on our walks. It makes it easier to clean him after. Although, I admit he does look a bit odd. I used to have his coat fully clipped and he looked like a baggy labrador. I would rather he be comfy though and looks arent everything :haha:
Completely standard, I'm afraid. All research is improperly reported in my experience.
They get those dags underneath them, the Goldies, don't they? I also spend a lot of my time doing her nails and trimming her bum! I've got clippers but I'm scared of making her look like Ozzy Osbourne.

I had my Covid test and I passed. Awesome really, considering how far patient zero went before being tested.

I have one more beautiful week of holidays. Won't be going out much (obvs) but I'm making great progress around the house. I changed the shower and kitchen sink tap fitting thingos and put a squirty vege washer thingo in. It's not that hard you know. We just think it is because professional people make us feel like we have to have them do everything for us. I've saved hundreds and hundreds.

I bet you do, Mrs A.
There's no harm in testing so I'm not sure how they are getting away with that one.
Hang in there Mrs A.

Ah, Mrs. A - again, you are in my thoughts. Can you not get out for a bit of a walk at least? Something to help you feel a bit better. As the others said - carers should be tested regularly, even if they refuse the vaccine. Sending you strength and virtual hugs...

JackieClaire - best of luck, Jackie dear, on this most important day! So excited for you! Waiting to hear your news later. xo

Supposed to bucket down here today but as our Mr. G would say - there's a blue, blue sky behind them clouds!!

Laterz.....

Morning..
In bed early (for me) last night, as back to work today. Kids all off for another week and there we will see what happens after that.

Bridge, they do seem to be on top if it there - everything pointing to the Christmas socialising over for past couple of weeks, so its going to take a while to scale that back in again.

Thinking about you brit and your mam satz123.

Afternoon everyone. Doing this from phone during my lunch hour. Best of luck JC, thinking of you. Also Brit, Satz, Molly. It truly is a horrible time, particularly when a loved one is ill.

We have a number of positive cases and close contacts at work but luckily have been closed since 23/12. It is not going to be an easy month.
