Ah well then the list is endless.
A lovely large plant that she needs to take care of - we all need something / someone to care for

OMG Satz did you have a chimney fire? We have ours cleaned every year, which reminds me they are now due. Himself is a daemon for having fires, even in summer. In his element down at the cottage, there is a stove and a Stanley range. Hope all ok if you did and not too much damage. Definitely good idea to have it cleaned Mary. Enjoy your lunch.

Enjoy the 5th birthday party Molly. It’s great the way you can pop up and down.

Busy day getting stuff done before I go tomorrow. Will catch up later.
Rusters. It was my sister's new stove, Chimney cleaned twice before it was installed.
Six firemen :heartbeat: in the house.
She was morto.
Fire chief said he thought it was the flue fitted incorrectly. Said it could have exploded. That glowing red on the outlet pipe is how hot it got.

Evening.
Yep Rustop, will def need to do it every year. Mr M is the same with fires, even in summer too! I hate cleaning it, so im happy with a couple of candles in there, as it still looks like a fire! Ours is a stove too, heat is too much to bare sometimes.

Have 2 nights in a row now.. ugh. Rewind 7.5 years and I'd have been useless for the whole weekend. Well, who am I kidding, didn't need nights out as an excuse for lots of wine..

Late check -in from moi.
Good grief how time flies...............5. :eek-new:

satz123.............I've actually got one of those hot water bottles. I :heartbeat: it. She'll need one as she's moved out of her ma and pa's into her own flat.
Once she gets her first utility bill she'll faint.

TBH its making us think rather than chucking stuff at them.

Pa-in-law continues to deteriorate.

Ma-in-law has been moved to a downstairs room in the care home and a much happier............sighs of relief from SIL and Mr. JC.

Will you pop over to your mam on xmas morning satz123? Hows your brother doing? Is he still in hospital? And YS, keeping busy?

Getting our chimney swept tomorrow, its going to be v embarrassing as i dont think its ever been done!!! Ill be out on a work lunch though.. perfect timing. Love getting these jobs done, especially when they are magically done in my absence.

Lots of ideas there JC, can’t think of anything else. Think I’m becoming more relaxed about Xmas as I get older. Definitely found it more enjoyable with small kids. More of a sense of majic about it. Mainly socialise during the day anymore, lunches, Christmas markets etc. Have one or two night time things but I’ll drive and get away when I feel like it.

Only ourselves for dinner and daughter working Xmas Eve night so will be quiet. Other one coming home on 22nd. Mind you I will have 5 dogs. SIL leaving me her two for a month! Can we swop Mary?
Crikey...5 dogs!! Yer a glutton for punishment! I find christmas faintly ridiculous when young children aren't involved..PTL for the grandkids at this time! Up for Tillys birthday tomorrow...big 5!! Don't think Joe will make it he's washed out.
Lovely day down here in Mayo...got a bit of garden tidying done..need to get my tunnel ready for spring planting

Later! Xxx

22 year old: a mac lipstick or really nice serum or a good nail varnish. A book. A calendar. An everyday diary.
A voucher (yawn)
Victoria secrets knickers.
PJ, as per satz.
Coffee and a plunger
Posh shopping bag.
I could go on and on (you'd know I've daughters!). Rustops are even closer in age!

Didn't stick with the crown either Rustop, don't know why. I was used to the original cast maybe.

I get that about Xmas satz123. I do like it, but feel under pressure to be going out, buying the perfect gifts, all the prep. It's not just 1 day, it's the whole month of December and it's non stop. Christmas day is grand. Sunday dinner with knobs on. 16 at our table this year. Of the 9 adults, 5 are non drinkers & 4 are drinkers. We win :congratulatory:

Good luck @JackieClaire with half filling a car with £20 petrol :egad:
What about petrol vouchers?
Or fluffy slippers from F&F @ Tesco
Or jarmers
Or ye know what I saw today : these long fluffy covered hot water bottles

Afternoon,
I surprised or should I say we decided to go to Jenny's for Christmas Day. We told her on Saturday and I'm surprised you didn't hear her jaw hit the floor.
The son and heir did a solo last night ( talk about a proud mammy). Its a cracking choir and we got to sit next to his in-laws. They're lovely couple.
The S&H met DIL when he was in Mack and Mabel many years ago.

Aah Molly glad to hear Joe's feeling a bit better.

Afternoon everyone

Good to see Tabs and Mr G drop by. I watched the crown and only found it so so. Maybe because I lived through so much of it and can remember the coverage. Preferred the first few seasons. Started watching Two Swimmers last night but could not stay awake. Seems very good. Will finish tonight.

Work today so early start. Can’t believe how the weeks are flying by. Off to Vienna on Thursday so good to have something to look forward to.
