Sorry to hear about your sister-in-law Jude, my thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family...

How did it work out with the cleaners Slo, I'll bet you're glad you didn't have to do it all.

I even got the whole day yesterday at home Ginger, and possibly today as well depending on how quickly the fields dry after the rain.

Ice cream is my biggest weakness now dill, I could eat it every night for a snack!

Nice when you get to see old friends Mulburry, get caught up on all the happenings since you last saw each other.

Not sure if I'll get another day/night at home with Bubba, it quit raining sometime last night and I see this morning that the street and sidewalks are dry but it all depends now on how much rain fell out at the farm and how quickly it takes for the fields to dry up enough to get back in them.
Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

Jude, I'm sorry for your family's loss. It sounds like the end to her suffering is a true blessing for her and all who love her.

I hope you had a good experience with the cleaners, Slo. My cleaning lady is coming today. I'm really glad!

I have to hurry off this morning. We have a maintenance appointment for one of our vehicles early this morning.

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

Jude, I'm sorry for your loss. Rest in peace, Shari. My thoughts go out to Mr J.

ABC, I'm glad you got some extra time at home. Now get back to work. Lol

Rava, you'll be home before you know it!

        Slo, thinking of you.

Mulberry, what profession are you in, if you don't mind saying? Curious mind over here...

        Dill, enjoy that clean house!

Off to coffee with an old colleague and over to see the greats and give mama a break.

I'll take another day of freedom!

Jude, I’m so sorry for your family’s loss, and all the suffering she & you all endured through her cancer. Cancer is just the worst.

The cleaning people ruined a cupboard a bit, and broke the top header off to a large set of blinds, and scratched it up. Grrr -now I have to figure out a repair.
This morning I called the guy I used for move-in cleaning, and he is going to be my cleaner.

Cowboy, perfect that you’re getting a little stretch of time at home.

Enjoy your day, Ginger! Safe travels, Rava.

Thank you, Mulburry. You’re right: there’s nothing I can do except be grateful that the causes have finally been revealed, and realize what a blessing this in itself is; and be grateful that these may be reversible. And, you’re right: there’s unfortunately nothing I can do really except learn from my mistakes. Like, be like my wise friends here: eat moderately, don’t fall for extreme diets of any sort, and don’t supplement unless there’s a known deficiency.
Cannot believe I was so suckered in and lost my way! I can’t help but beat myself up as I lost so many years, I affected my family negatively with it all; and I will lose more years with healing time.

Good for you for eating that ice cream, Cowboy! I eschewed dairy all these years based on the guru’s recommendations -to deleterious effects.

Mul, isn’t the sun wonderful?! That is great that you’re having time with a very old friend too.

This is a quote that Cowboy posted over on WQD recently. I liked it so much I decided to share it here. I hope you don't mind, Cowboy! You posted it at a time when that was the exact message I needed to hear, so it really hit home and was helpful.

Rava, I hope your journey home was good. Are you there yet? lol

Good morning Cafe. We are in our little house. Stopped and got carry out from our favorite Chinese restaurant . Lots of rain and thunder last night. It’s great to be back. I feel lucky to be able to enjoy warm sunshine all winter so I am not complaining about a little rain. Since this place is so small I don’t need a cleaning person. I am able to mange it myself. Got to get some groceries this morning and will probably get back to the gym this week. Hope everyone has a great day. 24 more please and thank you.

Glad you made it safe and sound to your tiny house Rava, now to get settled in and start the northern routine lol.

No problem dill, y'all can use anything I post, here or on WQD.

Too bad about the new cleaners Slo, but sounds like you've got someone that you know will do a good job.

I'll bet you're loving being able to look after the gkids Ginger, and I bet they love having their Grandma around as well!

Got to spend another day at home yesterday. Corey texted in the morning and said it was too wet to get going. He thought he might give it a try later yesterday afternoon but didn't think there was any rush for me to get out there as him and Corny would be able to handle it. Not sure about today as I haven't heard anything yet, and it's supposed to rain again overnight tonight and tomorrow.

ABC, does it make you happy or kinda sad that you're out of the fields for the time being? I know you like to keep busy!

Slo, that's a shame about the cupboard and blind. What the hell were the using to clean with?

Dill and ABC, that's an excellent quote! I'm sending it to a dear friend that needs it.

Rava, welcome home! Any plans once you're settled?

Jude, how's Mr J and how'd the lawn mower repair go? Hopefully, well!

It was a full day! I didn't get home until almost 6p. The kids got all their errands accomplished and they only had to deal with new baby Ben. My two greats were precious as always. I think the chiropractic work may be helping! Getting up and down was much easier with less pain. Just have to figure this knee out. Fingers crossed!

Grateful heart and looking forward to another day of freedom!

Rava, glad that you made it safely to your tiny house. It sounds as though you're settling in nicely.

Mr. J was able to fix the mower and get the lawn done. Yay, no more hay field!

Slo, don't beat yourself about past mistakes, just work on what you can do to make the present better.

24 more for all of us please...

So many mistakes…it’s hard not to beat myself up. Ruined my marriage, ruined my knee replacement, and have just majorly ruined my health! And there’s the alcoholism too

But I really like that quote that Cowboy found, Dill. Thank you for that. It is going to be copied out where I can see it every day.
I am reminded of the days when we shared quotes here! I had forgotten about that.

Just love the idea of a tiny home, Rava!
Glad the chiropractic is helping, Ginger. You are a big help to Granddaughter and her family. It does take a village!

I went out to a niece’s soccer game last night; I can be around people, enjoy the weather, and it’s something that I can do (sitting). She & the team played great! (high school varsity)

Time to go pick up Huxley from daycare.
