That’s an unusual-looking sauna! I prefer hot tubs over saunas, but, now with the low blood volume problems from B6 toxicity, I can’t do any of that.

Good thing you had the Ranger, Dill! That sounds really scary with the coyote.

I watched whatever fireworks I could see from here, but never go to the actual congested places to see them. Your story, Rava, is a good reminder why!

I’m not in therapy, Jude. I haven’t had good luck with that. Someone gave me the name of an online therapy, and maybe I should try that.

If real estate could make someone happy, then that condo would: a beautiful view of a pond out back, with a view of gorgeous trees on the far bank! And out front, a view of a meadow. I should have taken it, and not been scared away by my own fears, plus the advice against taking it by a couple of naysayers.
But, alas, I think I’m too impaired right now to move. And it won’t make me happy. All houses feel like too much of an effort when I can’t get around very well. And, maybe someday I can move in with a friend or relative and split expenses. That’s what I would really like, I think.
So I need to hunker down and heal over the next three years as much as I can. Then assess what kind of living situation I can handle with however much function I get back. Right now, I need to keep it simple.
The part that galls me is though is having to pour money for upkeep into this place that I don’t even like much! Well, I shouldn’t have bought a 20-year-old place.

Ok, I’ll try to be done with that.

Good morning cafe! It's going to be hot and humid today. Mr. J's niece is here for the weekend to help with the garden which is in desperate need of weeding.

Rava, A golf cart parade? I would've loved to have seen that. Did you decorate your cart?

Twenty four more for all of us please...

Good morning Cafe. All this sauna talk makes me want to try one. Slo your SILs looks great and so does yours Cowboy. Very nice. I had no idea they made kits for them. Golf cart parade was lots of fun. Our cart was only decorated minimally from the Dollar Store. Other people went all out with tons of stuff. I don’t have any room for all those decorations. So i spend about 4.00 and throw them away each year. Dill, that must have been scary with the coyote. Yikes. I am glad all turned out ok. Hope Mr. D is feeling better. Hi to everyone on here and hope it’s a great and sober day for us all! 24 more please and thank you.

I've had almost zero pain from this surgery. I keep thinking it will start any time. Fingers crossed I'm just being paranoid!

Love reading all that's going on! I'll take another day

I'm really glad you are having no pain after your surgery, Ginger! That's great!

It's so hot here today it FEELS like a sauna! Not my favorite. I'd take a hot tub over a sauna any day of the week!

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

Such great news that you’re pain-free still from the surgery, Ginger!

I’m with you on decorating the golf cart minimally, Rava,

I’m in a world of pain with my foot, and fear it’s permanent damage and malformation from the poorly designed 1/2” of rubber added to the sole plus the poorly fitting orthotic. Now the foot flares out with each step, and doesn’t hold together well anymore. It causes a lot of pain, and I have to wear band-aids along the side of the foot to minimize skin damage. My world has narrowed, and I am very worried for my future.

Cowboy should be hard at work at Adam’s!

I got together with my sister on July 4th, and with my mother on July 5th. I can’t really do anything except sit, and eat; but it was still comforting.

I do, Jude. Gladly. Thanks for the invite!

Mr. D was doing better last night so fingers crossed he is feeling even better today. It was a stomach virus.

Cowboy, how'd it go up at the cabin? We missed you 'round here!

Slo, You must be so frustrated with that foot pain. I'm so sorry you are going thru that.

Not much going on here today. I'm hoping to give Lily a much needed bath and get some yard work done. Also, a board meeting for the Auxiliary. I still serve on the board, even though I have stepped down as president.

Waves Rava, Ginger, Techie and Mul.

                    24 for us all, please.

Sounds like everyone survived the July 4th long weekend. Sorry you're in so much pain Slo, and glad it seems you're pain-free now Ginger.

The golf cart parade sounds like it would be something I'd like to see as well Rava.

Hope you got some gardening work done with Mr J's niece Jude, and some visiting time in as well.

Sounds like that mama coyote had some pups around dill, probably why she was acting aggressive.

Adam and I had a very productive time at the cabin. Got all the sewer line dug in and connected to the holding tank and cabin as well as getting all the water lines roughed in. I'll call for the plumbing inspection now. The electrician was out during the week and got all the electrical roughed in so Adam is going to call the building supply company and get the insulation and drywall delivered as soon as they can get out there.

ABC, that's great progress! I bet you came home with a productive smile on your face!

Slo, I'm so sorry for all your pain. Living with chronic pain can really take it out of you. My doc changed my antidepressant to DULOXETINE. It's what they give people with fibromyalga(sp) and it works really well! Maybe you could ask your doc about trying it? Just a thought.

Waves all! I'll take another day of freedom with you all

Good morning cafe! Yesterday Mr. J and I went to our yearly eye doctors appointment which include drops to dilate the pupil. Well, both of us left our sunglasses in the car, so when we came out of the office the sun was blinding us. We must have looked like a couple of drunks staggering around while trying to find our car in the parking lot. All that we could see was the sun glaring off of the cars; not fun.

Sounds like you had a productive weekend cowboy finishing up the sauna. It looks great by the way!

Another hot and humid day on tap so the AC is staying on. Not my kind of weather but I guess that we have no choice when it comes to mother nature.

Waves to everyone, and let's have another twenty hour hours of serenity...

Jude, I can just picture you and Mr. J bumbling about! Hilarious. Glad neither one of you stumbled and fell or something.

Lily got her bath yesterday and smells much better...I know it won't last though.

24 more for all of us please.
