Morning all...beautiful day..got some planting done for Jilly and Joe's gone off to see his sister so I have a bit of peace..no news really...sorry Mers but tbh I found nathin warm and fuzzy about teenagers with OR without cars!!!

Ha ha Molly, ain’t that the truth. Enjoy your time in Dublin. Bet you wonder now how you ever found the time to work, Afternoon everyone else. Very hard with teenagers and fashion Mary and these companies take advantage of it.

Hope you and Mr JC coping, take care of yourselves. You too Satz. Waves to everyone else. Working week nearly over. Have two SIL’s coming for weekend so need to do a bit of cleaning.

Satz, what was that program you watched about Shein? I want to make sure the girls watch it before Christmas clothes need to be ordered. I cant stand the shop (its was only online but now in jervis street i think). penny’s probably as bad, and the rest of them too. There is only one way they can sell clothes so cheaply. Im like a broken record in this house, but im always shocked how little attention the industry gets. Not only on the appalling conditions people work in, but on the environmental impact too. I wonder where Greta Thunberg shops…

Any idea how long the FIL will hang on for [MENTION=7008]JackieClaire[/MENTION]? Days, maybe weeks? Im sure its a big strain on everyone, especially with the MIL moving too.

Good morning everyone

Used to live in Athlone Molly. Hated the place, very divided because it straddled two counties and the Westmeath side seemed to thumb its nose at the Roscommon side. One side closed half day on a Monday and the other on a Wednesday, the one place I would never return to.

Work today so early start this morning. Picked daughter up from Luas so got to bed later than normal. See Mary, even when they can drive they still want pick ups.

Didn't see much about it tbh...but the hotel was lovely and great value..and a really good shopping centre literally next door...didn't even have to go outdoors..lovely!
Busy day today..met Adam for lunch and minded Tilly this afternoon so in the bed now and another busy one tomorrow..might get in and say hello to my pals in the library.

Hope MrJC is holding up okay Jackie...such a hard time for him!

They'll have to be firm Jacks. It's for her own welfare.
I see it in work they come in and then next day decide they don't want to be there. Most settle after a short while. Some settle so well they tell the family to leave after a few minutes :haha:
Probably best not to overwhelm her with too many visits, let her get used to the place & make new friends.
She won't know herself with people to chat to any time of the day.

What's happening with FIL ? Does MIL know he's ill or does she think he's following her in ?

FIL is still unconscious......he's on end of life care.......he won't be coming home from hospital ever.
MIL has a fair few marbles left knows he's very ill and dying but she's become very bitter. SIL got an ear full on Sunday when she was told by SIL said she wouldn't be visiting on Sunday as she was going to see her daughter get her degree.
There's a lovely nursing home just up the road we visited yesterday or was it Saturday and there's s room reserved for her and you're right I think she'll love it. She'll be going in tomorrow or Wednesday.

Luckily Mr. JC and his sister are in agreement about everything. I'm just patting my grey haired, worried sick husband's hand.

Not a lot to say but Mr. JC is taking tomorrow off (although I've nagged him to take Wednesday as well) to help his sister pack for his mothers move to the nursing home. Tbh I think they're going to have to handcuff her and bundle her into the boot of one of their cars. Their house will be sold its worth between 550/600K and they've got a load in the bank.

I got ogled by an old fellow yesterday when we visited the home..........tbh it made my day.

We had a pub here that we did all our underage drinking. Called The Man in The Moon. They'd serve anyone.

Evening ladies, I’ve been in the Man o war many moons ago, wasn’t eating food though, unless several pints of the black stuff counts.

It used to be a great biker pub...many the hilarious boozy night I had up there in a previous existence!!!
