I'm sure you'll find the right dog for both of you Rava and waiting till you're back from up north isn't such a bad idea.

Rava, good luck with your search. May I suggest petfinder.com? There are so many wonderful pets there looking for homes and there are filters for selecting the perfect match close to you. They'll even email you if one is posted that meets your criteria.

Finished my carpet project! I must admit, it turned out better than I expected. Yay!

        Morning all! I'll take another.

Rava, since you and Mr. R travel fairly often you will definitely need a small dog. I have seen so many cute little dogs that are hypoallergenic. I'm sure you will find the perfect fit for your lifestyle.

Christmas is drawing near. I'm not ready. But, ready or not.....

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

            Re: ~cattleman cafe~ & another 24...

Good morning cafe! For those of you on Facebook I've recently discovered a wonderful post by a woman that lives in Cornwall. She videotapes and narrates her walks through various villages in the area. Her videos are wonderful as she explores the various seaside towns. She is called The Cornish maid if you want to check her out. She makes you feel as though you were walking along with her. Check it out if you can.

Rava, I'm sure that eventually you will find the right dog when the time is right. Have you checked with any of the local rescues?

24 more for all of us please...

Thanks for the facebook tip, Jude! I will definitely check it out. I met a woman from Cornwall thru this site and although she left MWO long ago she and I stayed in touch for many years. She often talked of her walks on the cliffs. It seems like a little piece of heaven to me.

I will be going out for a bit of Christmas shopping this morning. Wish me luck!

Ginger, did you wrap up your project yet?

Good morning Cafe. Thanks for the dog information. I went to bed last night and instead of sleeping I was thinking about all the pros and cons of owning a dog and my gut is telling me not to do it. So for now I’m listening to my gut. I should have done that more often in my life. LOL. Hope everyone has a good day. Its 55 degrees here which is warm for you northern people but for Florida its freezing. LOL. Wishing everyone a great day. 24 more for me please!!

Rava, good job listening to your gut. If a pup is in your future, it will happen when you aren't even looking. 😉

Hubby has a CT scan today. Still trying to get to the bottom of his pain.

Had a lovely desert jeep run with neighbors yesterday. I'll take another day!

Rava, glad that you listened to your gut. Owning a dog requires a commitment of many years, and both you and the pup would be unhappy in the long run.

Ginger, I somehow missed your earlier post that you finished your project. I just read back and saw it. Glad you have it behind you and are enjoying the fruits of your labor.

Rava, good idea letting your gut guide you. To be honest, even though we do love our Lily, I have some regrets about getting a dog at this point in our lives. It is a big commitment, and we should have thought about it a bit more before plunging in.

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

Morning Cafe. Thanks for the doggie support. Yes I figured a dog is like a 15 year commitment. That takes me well into my 80s. Some days i have enough trouble just getting myself started. I got a little stuffed dog at the thrift store that looks like the puppy I wanted and propped it up on the sofa. It’s funny but I look at it and it makes me happy. I guess it’s the little things. Trickery at its best. Ginger I hope Mr. G gets his pain resolved. Somewhere I missed that post of him having an issue. Wishing everyone a sober and warm day. 24 more please and thank you.

Bubba and I think about getting another dog every once in a while as well Rava, but realize that it's probably best that we just stay with memories of Hank. So much responsibility comes along with having a dog and our circumstances have changed as well as our getting older.
