Just in time for breakfast! Yummy Thanks, ABC! It sounds like you and Bubba had fun. It's a nice outing for seniors. They had a pool party here yesterday but we didn't attend. I'm not feeling much like socializing in a crowd. Happily, hubby didn't want to either.

I'm glad the hunters here enjoyed the time even though there was nothing bagged.

I crochet and taught my oldest gdaughter when she was around 8yo. She never stopped and can make anything with a pattern! Now, she could teach me a thing or two-hundred about crocheting. Lol

Nope. Still freaked out about the surgery. Oh well, it won't make me drink because that would just be dumb. I'll take another day of freedom!

Good morning Cafe. I purposely waited for breakfast before posting. LOL. Thanks Cowboy. Sorry about no deer but glad your time was well spent with Adam. Dill, you taught me a new word. I have never heard of a carry in? I am assuming it’s like a pot luck. Hope everyone has a good and relaxing Sunday. Hi to everyone and 24 more for us all!

Nope, no deer for us this year again Jude, but the father/son time out hunting was priceless.

It was a cash bar dill, $5:00 per drink, and they only had beer, wine, and wine coolers, no hard liquor at all. There was only one fella that had a bit too much but he was still pretty well behaved. It doesn't bother me anymore to be around booze/drinking so I still enjoyed the dinner of roast beef and dancing with Bubba. How was the meal at your neighbor's, what did you take?

Waves to Rava and Ginger, and of course Mulburry.

    No today...

Cowboy, did you get a deer yesterday? Mr. J hasn't had much luck this year so far, but I don't think that he minds. He just loves to sit in the woods and enjoy the beauty of his surroundings.

Dill, for the life of me I could never get the hang of crocheting. I have the materials for it so maybe I'll give it another go one of these days.

    Waves to all!

I'm in for another 24 hours of freedom...

Cowboy, that sounds like a fun time for you and Bubba. I hope the addition of a bar doesn't cause any problems. I, for one, do not think bars at events for seniors is a particularly good idea. But if it is a cash bar then that might inhibit people from over-drinking. One thing I'm confident about, you and Bubba will not have a problem with it. Have fun!

Rava, I prefer crochet to knitting. If I drop a stitch when knitting I can't seem to repair the mistake, at least not as easily as fixing a mistake while crocheting.

Jude, enjoy your knitting day. So nice to have no other commitments!

Mul, Yup, this place is just what I need to help me keep my head in the right place. Fellow travelers are so important! Even if we don't always take about alcohol or it's issues, we always know that we have that common bond.

Waves Ginger! Hope you are stressing less about the surgery.

We've been invited to a carry-in today at a neighbor's house. There is never any alcohol at this home, so no challenge for me what-so-ever!

24 more for all of us here, please and thank you.

Good Morning Cafe. Cowboy have fun sitting and waiting with Adam for a deer. The dance sounds nice except the bar part. I am sure you will see some sights tonight! Seniors know how to party. Ginger, i sounds like your Thanksgiving was a good one. Jude, knitting sounds like a good way to relax. I used to crochet and still have yarn sitting around in a box. Hi to Mul and Dill! Hope everyone has a good weekend. 24 more please and thank you.

We did get about 3" of snow yesterday so I was out with the shovel getting my exercise lol. Glad it didn't snow overnight as it's -20C (-5F) here this morning and supposed to get to -25C tonight! Too cold for the end of November.

Adam and I are headed out this morning on our last day of hunting for this year. It's going to be too cold for any walk and stalk hunting so we'll probably stay in the truck and get around to a bunch of different fields for some sitting and watching.

Bubba and I are going out tonight to the Harvest Dine and Dance at the Senior Centre. It will be quite different from all the others as tonight there is going to be a bar as well, something that was never done in the past. I guess they are hoping the bar will help to get more people to attend and raise more money to help offset costs.

Oh there was no idea really. I was just trying to say that for me this place serves a similar purpose (and I imagine for some of you too) as an IRL meeting would, just in a bit of a different format.

All this talk of snow... and I gotta say I'm glad to have enjoyed a nice sunny 10C degree day today! First one in a while, after a bunch of rain of course, but hey I'll take it. I'm off to Hope next week, I'm sure it's only a matter of time until I'll have to do some snow shoveling as well.
