Rava, how awful! I had that happen once but we were lucky and found another a place available so that we didn't have to stay. It was absolutely infested with roaches! Glad you didn't drink over it. I am off to a slow start on the puzzle. I have sorted out all the outside pieces and will start putting them together today.

Cowboy, thanks for the reminder about the dang time change! I had forgotten all about it.

Jude, I was thinking about you when I was sorting my puzzle pieces because I remembered you posting about how difficult all the white pieces were in your last one and how overwhelming. I was sorting my pieces and saw all the black and realized it was going to really be a challenge!

Peachie, glad your new fridge settled in and stopped making mysterious noises.

Ginger, hope you enjoy another day with your Sis! Does Mr. G enjoy hiking like you do?

We had a heck of a lot of rain the night before last and the pond came up quite a bit. That's good because it was really down a lot! Mr. D has been taking advantage of the creek being swollen and has been pumping in water to supplement the rainfall. More rain tonight, so it may just get topped off!

    Hiya Mul!

    Not today...

Good morning Cafe. We are at the absolute worst and dirtiest hotel I have ever been in. I almost burst into tears when we got here. Never EVER trust online pictures . I certainly think 180 per night is NOT a cheap sleezy place. The place smells like cat urine and all the other hotels are booked. I cant wait to check out tomorrow and blast them on their website. Im glad I didnt have access to any alcohol because I would have drank myself silly. Mr. R had to calm me down and remind me that we are here for our grandaughter. Had to put my emotions in check. Today is the game and a tail gate lunch for family afterwards. I think it will be fun and we only have 1 more night in this hell hole. I sound like some picky uppity bitch and I assure you I am NOT. I honestly think sleeping in my car would have been a better option and that is sad. Anyway, enough of me whining about my situation. I hope your finger is better Jude. How’s that puzzle going Dill? Peachie, I am sorry about you getting swindled. People can really suck!! Ginger, enjoy your walk or whatever you get into today with your sister. Hi to Cowboy!!! OK lets get this day started…… 24 more please and thank you!

AZ doesn't mess with the time and it's great but back home they do. We voted yes to get rid of the time change years ago but it's been sitting on someone's desk to implement ever since. Here's an idea! Just don't change it! How hard can it be? I've never met a person that likes it.

ABC, I get not having another dog but I do miss having one, occasionally. When that happens, I find one to play with or walk and that does the trick. Bruce does that for you, I suppose?

Peachie, I'm glad that fridge is working for you! New, those have become a large investment!

Jude, how's that finger this morning. Curious, did they test for MRSA?

Not sure what we are up to today but I'm sure there will be at least a walk involved. Hi Rava and Mul!

I'll join you all in another day of freedom!

Hopefully the new meds will fix whatever problems have developed Rava. I'm always leary when my doc changes my meds but he tells me it's to be expected as we get older.

That looks like a challenging puzzle dill but will be beautiful when it's done. It might be one to get framed and hang in your country home.

I probably would be okay with getting another dog Jude, but don't think I want the added responsibility at this stage of my life. I think that we'll be seeing more of Bruce now that he's had a successful overnight stay with us.

Waves to the rest of the gang...

Don't forget to change your clocks tonight for those who live in areas that do. I see on the news that Mulburry's province, British Columbia, will be doing their last time change tonight then will be staying on daylight savings time. I sure hope Alberta does the same in the near future.

Evening Cafe. Thank you for your commiserations re my predicament. I did have a heap of money stolen, enough not to be able to live comfortably through to old age. The whole experience was so painful though it certainly made me very wary of trusting again. I was in a very vulnerable state and my drinking certainly clouded my judgement. Beware the evil drink!!

Cowboy loved the photo of Bruce. He looked very relaxed indeed!

Rava, glad you passed your health checkups. Hope the new meds help.

My fridge is going great guns and stopped the funny noises. Phew.

Sorry if I've missed anyone. Getting very sleepy

    Night night.

Peachie, how awful that some man swindled you out of a lot of money. It seems like there are more and more people in this world that are less than honest preying on innocent folks. So sorry that had to happen to you.

Cowboy, Bruce looks pretty comfortable on your couch, and it's a good thing that you have a king sized bed. I understand about not getting another dog. I have one ancient dog left and when he passes away I don't think that we will get another one.

Dill, that puzzle is really cool! I finished mine and am going to start a new one today. I love doing puzzles and it's a great workout for your brain.

Rava, glad that your doctor visit went well with no major issues for both of you. Hopefully the new meds will help out with any issues that you are having.

Bruce is adorable! I bet poop patrol is a chore. Lol

Peachie, that money story made me sick to my stomach. I'm so sorry that happened to you. Good luck with that new fridge.

Jude, I sure hope your finger continues to feel better. I have heard of that on toes but not fingers. I hope you can keep your nail.

Rava, have fun at the game.

Dill, that's a gorgeous puzzle. That looks like it will be a challenge but render a beautiful result. I might display one like that!

Sis and I hiked five miles yesterday. Whoot whoot! I'm feeling so thank for my new knew.

Off to exercise then a huge community yard sale. I don't need a thing but it's fun to look!

    I'll take another day!

Good morning Cafe. Bruce looks so happy! He is one lucky dog for sure. Jude I am glad you got that finger checked out and I hope the topical med works. Our visits at the doc went well yesterday. We both got put on some new meds. So time will tell if this helps. Mr R has blood pressure issues and lots of swelling. So hopefully these new meds will help him out. Getting old is not for sissies. Peachie, I hope the new fridge works well for you. Dill hope you enjoy that new puzzle and get it done so you can take a picture of it finished! Ginger, I am sure you are still having fun with your sister! We are headed across the state for the weekend to visit our granddaughter at her college for a sports game. We are going today as the game starts early tomorrow and we dont want to deal with morning traffic. Hope everyone has a safe and sober day. 24 more please and thank you.

Let's hope the antibiotics work Jude and you don't have to get the nail removed. I think dog sitting Bruce from time to time will be enough for us rather than the full-time responsibility of owning another dog.

Hopefully this fridge won't give you any problems Peachie. Food is too expensive to be throwing away because of fridge problems.

Bruce and I had quite the day yesterday lol. He watched curling with me, he slept a lot lol, and we went for a 45 minute walk before supper so he could get his business done haha. It's a good thing Bubba and I have a king size bed or the three of us wouldn't have fit in it lol. He settled right in with us and slept the whole night. He's a pretty laid back dog and not hard to look after at all. I take him back this morning once Bubba goes to work and I'll probably miss having him around lol.

We all have a tendency to ignore those health issues for as long a possible, I guess. Hope your visits yesterday went well, Rava.

Peachie I sure do hope your new fridge works satisfactorily. We had to get a new fridge a year ago and it was a definite budge buster.

Jude, I surely never heard of that condition. I'm glad the antibiotic is helping and I hope the nail doesn't worsen over time.

I got a new puzzle from Amazon. It's 500 pieces and it is a beautiful Rooster. Amazon.com: Vibrant Rooster 500 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle for Adults Colorful Folk Art Decorative Challenge Puzzle Premium 20"x20" Art Puzzle for Puzzle Lovers : Toys & Games Looking forward to getting started today!

Hi Jude, gosh you were up early!! Hope your finger continues to improve.

It is 6.08pm here. Been a loooong day today. I actually had a nap this afternoon which I never normally do but couldn't stay awake. My fridge broke down a couple of days ago so had to throw out a lot of food til I got one from Marketplace yesterday. It's making some weird noises so hope it's ok.Lol. I am not wealthy anymore as the man I got involved with after my hubby died took me for everything I had.

Been watching too much of what is happening in the Middle East unfortunately. It just does my head in.

Cowboy I was never much of a sport watching person til my boys both got into it. My eldest son, Michael, was very successful in his career of cricket. In fact, he came to Canada as their Head Coach some years ago.
He was too homesick so didn't last long. He went without his family.

Night night everyone. Hope you all have a great day.

    Xxx

    Good morning all!

Rava, hope that everything went well at the doctor's yesterday and that you and Mr. R are both healthy.

Cowboy, enjoy your time with Bruce while he's visiting. Do you think that you and Bubba will ever get another dog?

Went to the doctor yesterday and she said that I have pincer nail. Instead of growing out normally, the nail becomes very narrow at the tip, causing it to be ingrown. I'm using a topical prescription antibiotic and I hope it kicks in soon. If this keeps reoccurring I will probably have to have the nail removed. Thankfully it's feeling better today so we shall see what happens down the road.
