Today is our one year AF anniversary! I can't believe how much easier it is living with a quit buddy. Having to go through happy hour every day "white knuckling" it was so so hard. Yay us!

We are in charge of our 14 and 16 yo grandsons while their parents are off to Costa Rica. We take the 14yo to camp on Sunday so he'll be no problem for the week. Lol The 16yo has his first 40hr a week job so he'll be mostly busy with that. Fingers crossed we can keep the dog, two cats, three turkeys, three cows and 12 chickens healthy too.

Rava, I'd love to see a pic of your tiny home! Something about small home living just makes me happy!

ABC, stay hydrated, if it's hot up north. It's dry as a bone around here. We sat here helplessly watching a fire crawl up the hill a few miles away and take out three houses in a development. It was put out by three of our area fire departments quickly but not quick enough for those that lost everything. It was heartbreaking to watch.

I hope we all have an easy AF day! I'll take another.

I'll trade you power bills Rava, our administration and line charges on the power bill are over $100 a month, not counting the usage lol. How did the hammock work out, I think I've only tried laying in one once in my life.

We don't have a lot of counter space in our house dill, and what we do have is mostly covered in appliances lol. But there's just the two of us so we don't need much.

Good luck with the stitch removal today Ginger!

Finished up the sauna yesterday and everything went great, works just like it's supposed to so I guess I did everything right haha. Got a date with the lawnmower today lol.

Good morning Cafe. Ginger, you are being so good. Hopefully you will get that gold start tomorrow! Jude, I am laughing about Mr. J and power tools after surgery. Sounds like my late husband who was cutting firewood after dental surgery….. Hope you like the diamond painting. I am meeting a neighbor tomorrow to show her how it’s done. Dill I have enough kitchen counter space with no problem. I have a little area that comes out and fits 2 chairs. Thats where I do all my kitchen work. My electric bill has been running 50.00 per month. That is completely amazing! Our old place was running about 300.00 in the summer per month. We had a hammock delivered yesterday and will be putting that together today and buying a fan for our porch. Will let you know how it all works out. LOL. Sober day today. 24 more please and thank you. PS I am noticing the longer I go without drinking, the less I am obsessing about it. Hope this continues!

Ginger, good luck with your follow up appointment today at the docs. It sounds like you're a much better patient than Mr. J. Three days after his hand surgery he was out in the garage using power tools. Despite himself, he is healing well.

Yesterday I ordered a diamond painting kit from Amazon and it should be her next week. Looking forward to it as I need something to help me relax. Can't wait to try it!

Twenty four more for all of us please...

ABC, that made me laugh! Thanks!

Dill, you pegged me 100%. Being laid up for me is torture but I'm determined to be good and not mess things up. Wish me luck! I go see the surgeon for my post-op appointment tomorrow. Im hoping for a gold star!

I'll join you all for another day of freedom!

I think that's the key after any surgery Ginger, follow all instructions to a tee even if it's inconvenient. I know when I cut my arm and had the surgery I followed both the surgeons and therapists instructions as close as I could and I'd say I have about 95% use of the hand again.

It seems we all develop aches and pains as we get older Rava, hopefully they are all manageable though lol. Adam and Darcie will have a washer and dryer in their cabin as well, but it's one of those smaller stacked type.

Sounds like the foot massage did wonders for you Slo, possibly something you could do on a frequent basis.

You may end up weeding your garden a few hours at a time in the evenings Jude. Thats when Bubba goes out and tends to her flower garden.

Thankfully it won't be as hot here today and I can finish up the outside work at Corey's. The inside of the sauna was at sauna temp yesterday without the heater even being hooked up lol.

Slo, it is truly amazing what a good massage can do!

Cowboy, Lily enjoys her bath, or at least tolerates it, AND everyone gets as wet as the dog!

Rava, your tiny home sounds just perfect to me. Just wondering if you are satisfied with your kitchen counter space? Thing about that is, I don't think it matters how much counter space you have, it will soon be filled! That's how it is for us, anyways.

Ginger, good job on following the doctor's orders! It's an effort for you, I'm sure. You seem like a rugged individualist and one who want to be hands on. Must be a challenge for you.

Jude, good luck with those weeds. Currently the weeds are winning here. Too much rain for me to keep up.

24 for all of us please and thank you.

Good morning cafe. Ginger, glad you are still doing well. Good information about your new antidepressant. I am looking that up. I have back pain from bulging discs that are really starting to bother me as I get older and older. Slo, I was wondering if you might want to contact your insurance company. Some have Nurse Managers who can help you manage your care. Since it is complex it maybe be helpful. Hope things work out and glad you liked your massage. Cowboy, our tiny house has AC and all the conveniences including a washer and dryer. LOL. I could NOT live without all the bells and whistles. LOL. Jude, glad you and Mr. J made it home from the eye appointment. Getting your eyes dilated is quite an experience. Dill, so glad Lily is smelling good. Even if it’s temporary. LOL. Today is going to be hot and stormy. A day to spend inside. Hope everyone has a good and sober day. No booze in my house = no drinking. 24 more please and thank you!

Slo, sounds like you need to get a foot massage more often!

Not much happening today, but it's not supposed to be as hot so maybe we'll tackle the weeds in the garden. Uggh.

You have a long road of healing ahead, Ginger. It’ll be worth it, I bet!

You sure stay busy, Cowboy! Glad you could get so much done on Adam’s cabin.

Jude, how did you two manage to drive home if you both got your eyes dilated on the same day?!

Did you take Lily to the groomer’s, Dill? Are you emeritus status on the auxiliary board? And here I used to think you just volunteered at the hospital, but it turns out you’re even more involved.

I don’t know what will happen to this floppy, stretched-out foot. It doesn’t look fixable. And I’m in a holding pattern with insurance saying the podiatrist is out of network, but he says he’s in network; and I need to start PT, but insurance says they’re out-of -network; so I need a new referral from podiatrist, and they don’t answer the phone…

I had an amazing massage on just that foot today. The foot was a mess, and full of knots and pain points. It sure is amazing how important feet are. I hope I can walk pretty normally again someday.

Jude, the office didn't even offer you those stylish disposable shades? Glad you found your car and got home safe!

ABC, Thursday I get the stitches out and begin PT. They say three months before you can use it as before. A year until you don't even know you've had it fixed. So... long process but worth it, if it works. I'm religiously following orders and that's never easy for me.

Waves to all! I'll take another day of freedom!

It's going to be hot here today as well Jude, I've got some outside work to do here to finish up installing the fuel lock system on the fuel tanks for Corey and then start on the wiring for the sauna. I'm sure there's going to be lots of cold water drank and breaks sitting in the shade.

Does Lily enjoy her baths dill, or is it a situation where everyone gets as wet as the dog lol.

Does your tiny house have a/c Rava, it seems to me you mentioned that you had it installed after you bought it.

Do you have to go easy with your hand for a while Ginger, or is it right back to normal now?
