Hiya everyone. Great cool and sunny day today. I just wanted to say that I truly hope that my, usually, very minimal drinking is not causing any trouble. I know that when I am stressed my old drinking patterns appear. I hate that. I truly do l. It is just how I have learned to cope. It takes the pain away.
I am sure you all get that. I would have loved to adopted a healthier way to deal with it. But I haven't.. I really love coming here and listening to your lives. I truly admire you all.

Peachie, so glad that your sister is going better. Family is everything!
Rava, right now a day at the beach sounds wonderful. I really do like winter but at this point I'm ready to ditch the snow boots and heavy jackets for some sunshine and warm temperatures.
A friend of ours has to bake something for an upcoming party that she is going to tomorrow. She is coming over today and we are going to make 3 carrot cakes. Should be fun!

Rava, I know what you mean about going thru stores while buzzed. Doesn't appeal to me in the slightest! Besides, I can only imagine what I might buy while under the influence. Impulse control would be totally wrecked while buzzed, for sure!
Peachie, so glad your sister's scan was clear. Sorry you feel you drank too much over the last few days. It's hard to be moderate especially when emotions are running high. For me, it's impossible to be moderate any time!!

Ya, I drove a 56 passenger charter bus for a couple of years for a good friend of mine Ginger. That was after I left the College and before I started my own business.
We'll probably go out for supper tonight as well Jude and dill. We were a bit surprised that the Senior's Center didn't have the dinner and dance tonight but it's going to be March 21st.
That's great news about your sister Peachie, you both breathed a sigh of relief I bet!

Good morning Cafe. The bus trip and free flowing alcohol luckily was not a trigger for me. I would be more worried about having to use the bathroom. Walking around thrifting with a buzz does not appeal to me. However if this bus trip was at night I am not sure I would have stayed strong. Good thing is I will not be on any night bus trips! I would definitely go on a thrift store bus trip again next year. I did terrible in Mahjong yesterday. More practice this week. Peachie, I am so glad your sisters scan was normal. That must be such a relief. Jude hope that puzzle is coming along! Hey to Ginger, Cowboy Dill, Mul! Hope everyone has a great Saturday. Beach day ahead for me. Hiya everyone. Happy to say my sister is doing a lot better today. Her scan came back normal and she's thinking she will be discharged tomorrow. Thank you all for your good wishes for us. I'm afraid I was very distressed so my posts were a bit wonky. I also drank more then I should have. Not good!
Anyhow I am having a very early night tonight as I'm exhausted. Hope everyone has a lovely day.

Rava, good job staying away from the booze on your bus trip. The fact that you weren't even tempted to drink says a lot. Keep those sober muscles flexed!
Dill, Mr. J's daughter played the viola when she was in high school and we loved going to the concerts to see her play. I especially enjoyed the Christmas concerts, they brought me a lot of peace and I miss going to them.

Hiya still waiting to hear back from Mary. She had a CAT scan and I promised to wait up til she got the results. Might have to take my phone to bed but that's OK.
. l just had a very garbled message from her. Sorry so late at night but had to tell someone. I spoke to the nurse on her ward who said she was OK. Still vomiting.

Rava, that sounds like a fun time! I think a trip like that is better sober, but that's just me. Since I can't moderate, it would just not be good! I'm glad you enjoyed yourself regardless.
Peachie, sorry your sister is unwell. Definitely go, if she needs you.
Jude, a snowscape would definitely be a challenge! You may be working you way through it even into the summer months.
Ginger, I sometimes think you would make a good Occupational Therapist. You seem to be a natural and figuring out ways to accomplish tasks.
Cowboy, Mr. D and I don't do any gifts or cards anymore on Valentines Day. Like, Jude, we usually just do something together, or go to a restaurant we both enjoy. Like I said, Bubba is a lucky gal!
Last evening we attended the Hish School Concert and had the pleasure of watching all the music the students perform. Our gdaughter is in the choir. I really enjoyed the evening.

Jude, when I get to solid colors, I sort them all by shape. You'll start to see where the shapes fit after a bit.
