Ha Rava! Your coffee sounds like Mr. D's except that he uses sugar free Italian Sweet Cream and extra splenda packets.

Ginger, I drink two cups but make half-caf so I guess we are equal there. I add a splash of half&half though. I tried kombucha years ago but never developed a taste for it. It's certainly good for you though!

Cowboy, you and Bubba are sound like our coffee aficionados! No wonder the coffee in the Cafe tastes so great! We make our coffee in a Bunn coffee maker with the always hot water tank, but we do not take time to grind our own beans. We have a grinder though and have used it in the past. I'm working on becoming a black coffee drinker, but so far have only been able to cut the creamer to a splash. I'm getting there! Sorry you have been hit with another snow storm! Might as well have another cup of coffee!

Jude, what a treat to sleep in until 6! When you said the sound of the washer woke you I thought maybe Mr. J was doing a load. The cat? That's funny!

Good morning cafe! I actually slept in until 6:00 am and it was wonderful! I probably would have slept longer if I hadn't heard the washing machine going. Apparently one of the cats managed to hit the start button. It's too bad that I can't teach them to put a load of clothes in before turning it on.

Dill, you should definitely make a homemade carrot cake. It's way better than the store bought stuff! I drink coffee every morning with cream and sugar and sometimes at night I have a cup of herbal tea.

Cowboy, sounds like you're in for a snowy couple of days. Stay safe and warm!

Rava, unfortunately we made the cakes in a rectangular pan and there would be no way to hide the fact that there were pieces missing. I like your idea though!

It's coffee for me dill, just black. Our coffee maker has a built-in grinder as we like fresh ground coffee, so we keep coffee beans on hand at our place.

The winter storm hit us sometime through the night. Lots of snow already and lots more predicted throughout the day and into tomorrow. Not much point going out to shovel till the wind and snow let up a bit.

Dill, I drink one cup of black coffee in the morning and sometimes I drink a kombucha in the evening. Otherwise, just water.

Good morning cafe. Cowboy, yes the poem kinda started like that. LOL. Hope you stay warm and cozy today in the winter storm. Dill Glad you liked the beets and feta! There are a lot of recipes with those ingredients adding in arugula and other things. I am a coffee person, 3 bags of Splenda and lots of French vanilla creamer. Jude if you made a carrot cake in a round pan, you could slice some and push it together then icing it. Can you tell I have done that before! LOL. No one knew it. Hope everyone has a great day. Dill, unfortunately no, we didn't get any of the carrot cake. It would probably be considered rude if you took a cake to a party with a couple of pieces missing. That's ok as we make it for ourselves quite often.

Peachie, your casual drinking doesn't bother me either, we're just happy to have you here!

Rava, I never thought of putting pineapple chunks in the carrot cake but it sounds yummy. Maybe next time.

Hi Cafe. Super late check in. I totally forgot to check this morning. I went to Walmart early to grocery shop and then the day got away from me. My Valentine’s Day was nice. Beautiful beach day. Mr R and I dont exchange anything but I asked him to make me a card from scratch just for fun while I was at the beach. . Well he did complete the assignment with a silly picture and an inappropriate poem. So funny to be able to joke around. Peachie, I love that you are spending time with us and I am sure in some way we are helping to minimize your drinking. Jude, carrot cakes are the best. What do you put in yours?
