I had never heard of finger joint reconstruction until on here, but my mother is now wearing some type of a thumb splint because her thumb keeps going out of joint!
The 3 miles didn’t sound right, Dill, as it seems only the BIL & SIL on your husband’s side live somewhat close to you; although not within 3 miles. Plus, if most everyone lived that close, then you wouldn’t need to have a reunion!
What a fun & involved grandma you were/are, Ginger!
And Rava, the grands are going to love the day at the beach with you two!
Cowboy, do you head back to Adam’s this weekend?
D3 owns a cookie cutter house, and she had to impress upon her husband that he could only get a “truck-lette” and not a full-sized truck, so that it would fit into the garage.
D1 did not like when her HB got a truck, because it was such a gas guzzler, and he had such a long commute.
D2’s HB proudly drives a big truck (a 250), but he needs it for work.
D4 is with me today!
Welcome back, Techie.

techie, so great to hear from you! Can't wait to hear what you've been up to.
Dill, I wondered about those 3 miles when I read it. Glad you are all getting together from far and wide!
My gdaughter and new baby Ben are coming today so we can work on the two year old's bday party decorations. Should be fun! When gdaughter was young, we'd spend hours crafting. I'm happy she still thinks of me when she needs help crafting!
I'm calling the pup drawing for my friend done, as my thumb is rapidly giving out. I'm not happy with the scarf but it will just have to be good enough. I have LRTI (ligament reconstruction and tendon interposition) surgery July 2 on my right thumb. Ortho says it will never improve without it. I fear all my over worked joints are going to turn against me! This getting old ain't for sissies. I have two friend that swear it's the best thing they've ever done, so I'm hopeful. Fingers crossed!
Hey to all my pals! Off to workout then party favor crafting! I'll take another day of freedom

Thank you all. It will be Monday or Tuesday before I can update you all. I may have to do it in stages. Mostly, it will be great to be back in the fold. Have a wonderful blessed weekend!

Good morning, everyone. Jude, I volunteer once a week for 4 hours. I still serve on the board so that is an additional two hours a month. I'm no longer President tho, much to my relief! My time in office is over, but I'll remain on the board for one more year.
Cowboy, I looked back at my post from yesterday and realized I made a typo error. I meant to say that most family members were within 300 miles, not 3!! It would be wonderful if I had family that close, but no.
Our truck is out in the barn. Our two car garage contains the two vehicles we take on the road. We rarely go out on the road with our truck as it is a gas guzzler. But we do use it in a pinch.
Techie, so great to see you! It's been a while!!
Waves to you, Ginger, Slo and Mul!
Not much happening here, but it's early. We shall see where this day takes me. At the moment tho I am trying a new recipe for whole wheat bread, using my bread machine to make the dough. I'll transfer it to a bread pan to bake it though. I much prefer the shape. Haven't made whole wheat in a while. Hope it works out!
24 more for all of us here, please.

It's great to see you again techie, would love to hear what you've been up to!
My truck doesn't fit in the garage here either Jude, my next truck will be smaller though so that it does fit in the garage.
It'll be nice to catch up with everyone dill, and so nice that most of your family lives close by.
We're finally getting some rain! A nice slow gentle rain that started late yesterday afternoon and continued through the night. Expecting more today and tonight as well.

Good morning Cafe. Yesterday’s beach day was so good that we are going back again today with 3 grands. Jude, when you mentioned about your truck being too big for your garage made me think about all the new cookie cutter homes being built near us. You see all the big trucks parked outside their garages due to the trucks being too big. Techie, so good to hear from you. Looking forward to hearing how you have been. Life gets in the way of all of us. We get it! Hope everyone has a great day today. 24 more please and thank you.

Techie, so good to see you, and I hope that you are doing well! Would love to hear what you've been up to.
Dill, glad that the hospital is nearly back to normal after what happened. How many hours a week do you volunteer?
Mr. J finally got his truck fixed between bouts of rain. His truck is too big to fit in the garage so he had to work on it outside. We haven't had much dry weather lately, so it took him much longer to fix it. So glad that's done and that we have 2 vehicles on the road again.
Not today...

Hello old friends. it has been a while since I last messaged. I'm doing well. Life had gotten in the way of my last promise to read back and update you all. I am committed to making that happen over the next few weeks. Blessings x

I love massages, Ginger! That’s a good gift.
Got my hair cut & tinted today. The B6 toxicity is causing a warm tight, red scalp on top with lots of hair loss and coarse hair of late, so she treated for that as well.
Nice that you are enjoying a day at the shore, Rava!
A one-day reunion will be easier than planning for a whole week or a whole weekend one, Dill. Although still need some planning for the long-distance guests who will stay longer.
Foot pain has been hobbling the last few days as I get used to the new orthotics and deal with plantar fasciitis. Trying some plantar fasciitis stretching exercises now.
I am going to a niece’s high school regional soccer game tonight with my sister.

Late check in, as usual for volunteer day. The hospital is back to very near normal, just a few more bugs to be worked out. What a relief! It was really busy in outpatient registration today. I guess everyone needed to get their labs and xrays caught up. It was nice to be busy and productive.
Rava and Cowboy, planning for the reunion is coming along. I'm keeping it simple and focusing on the important part: seeing everyone!!! It's been quite a while. The reunion is just a one day event, but of course it will go beyond that for the folks that are coming from further away. But most everyone lives within 3 miles, and everyone's lives are pretty busy, so it will just be a one day event. Cowboy I'm sure it will take some time to adjust to your new partials.
I can't believe the doctors are letting the pain be treated so inadequately, Rava. It seems like malpractice to me.
Jude I will keep your sister in my prayers, along with Rava's dad.
Hi Slo and Jude!
24 more for all of us please and thank you.

ABC, I forget there's a border between us that even requires a passport! Hope you're adjusting to the new partials.
Jude, thinking of you and your sis. Sending prayers. Limbo sucks, is right!
Rava, that sounds like the perfect day to get your mind off the stuff you can't change. Hope it helps!
Has anyone seen Mul? Hi, Dill. Hi, Slo.
Only one thing on my docket today. A 75 minute massage. It was a mother's day gift from my son 2 and his wife. It will be heaven! I'll take another day of freedom to go along with

I didn't realize you had the ocean so close at both your residences Rava, enjoy your time at the beach!
That seems like a long wait for your sister Jude, a good way to increase worry and ramp up any anxiety she is having.
It would be so cool to meet up with everyone Ginger, and in the mountains would make it extra special. Maybe I should get my passport renewed lol.
Waves to the rest of the gang, have a good one y'all!

Slo and Rava, my sister lives in Wyoming but we just vacationed together in Florida where she has a timeshare. She's going to see a new oncologist at the end of the month, so until then we don't have much information.
Rava, what your stepmother is doing to your Dad is elder abuse. I can't believe that he is only getting Tylenol instead of morphine. That's just insane! Wish that I could be with you on the beach today!
Would love to go hiking with you all. Wouldn't that be a blast!
Cowboy, yes, I will be going out to help my sister when she needs me. We won't know much until she sees the doctor at the end of the month. Sucks being in limbo... Hope that you are adjusting well to your new choppers.
I'm in for another twenty four hours...
