Sunday has rolled around again! Where does the time go? I've got the coffee on....

Ginger, We are 8 miles from the hospital now. If it closes, we will be 17 miles from the nearest hospital. I know it could be worse. I don't know how it affects emergency transport. I may have to get out my insurance policy and read up on it or call the insurance provider and ask.

Still stuck in the same weather pattern: heat, humidity, pop-up thunderstorm, rinse, repeat!

Wow, Rava! 10 crabs! I bet that was delicious. It seems like you catch more there at your northern headquarters than you do at your your southern outpost. I guess I thought it would have been the opposite. I really don't know which one is your headquarters and which one is your outpost, so pardon me if I got my designations wrong.

That’s fun how you can go crabbing at both of your homes, Rava! Sounds like a delicious meal.

It’s still worth going to the garage sales, Jude; for exploring and getting out & about, and in case you find just the right thing.

It is good to have the extra room for when my daughter D3 comes, Cowboy! I am loving having this time with them! Reading to Andy (he loves books) and singing to and snuggling that yummy baby! We went to the farmer’s market for strawberries, and to the park a couple of times today. The kids are having a bath now.

Hope it’s a short-lived summer cold, Ginger. Hope I don’t get one from the baby. She seems healthy, anyways.

I went through the condo I’m coveting yesterday, and fell in love all over again! I am planning to put an offer in…however, crunching the numbers today with D3, it doesn’t look good for me. I could do some real damage to my finances, and leave myself running out if I live too long. I have a showing on this one tomorrow, so we shall see. I have been so stressed about this all week! Will probably have to do the financially responsible thing…

Wonder if Techie is recovered from the tiring conference.

Good afternoon Cafe. I got on this morning, read all the post then walked away from my ipad and never posted. This getting old really sucks. Hope everyone had a good day. Mr. R and I caught 10 crabs. We just steamed them and some corn and now we are done. I did something to my back so I am on a heating pad and basically done for the night. 24 more please and thanks.

its a gorgeous day here. We dont experience humidity very often and its always short lived. It makes the heat soooo much harder!

Not much going on around here today and that makes me happy! I've picked up a summer cold and I'm trying to get well.

Jude, we should be having a garage sale too! So much stuff from so many years....

The weather continues to be hot and muggy with pop up thunderstorms. But the weatherman at least is forecasting a break coming next week.

abcowboy, I am thinking the financial strain from the cyberattack is going to move the Kettering Health to make a move one way or the other about our little hospital sooner rather than later. I don't have a good feeling about it, but we shall see.

I kinda thought they might use the cyberattack as a reason to shut the hospital down early dill. Maybe they'll decide to keep it up and running if they survived the financial loss from that.

I sat out on our back deck yesterday morning Jude, enjoyed a cup of coffee in the fresh morning air before it was time to spray weeds and then the dandelions lol.

Too bad you can't think of a relative that would consider moving in with you Slo, but it's probably nice that you have the extra room for when your kids come to stay over.

No rain here yet, we probably should have packed up and headed for the cabin lol.

Slo, glad that you are enjoying the time with your family. It's definitely good for the soul.

We didn't find anything worth buying at the garage sales which is probably a good thing.We have too much stuff already, and we should be the ones having a garage sale!

We’ve had lots of rain here too. Also lots of heat & humidity.

Oh, I am loving having my daughter and nice son-in-law and these wonderful little grandchildren here! I snuggled that gorgeous baby all afternoon out on my patio and rocked her the whole time while she napped on me. She got to nap with the sound of birds and the scent of fragrant flowers and with gentle breezes. Then the rest of little family could nap then too, and recover from their travels. This morning we went to a park so 2 y/o Andy could run around. I got to swing with baby Ayla the whole time! Now the little family is off to a friend’s house.

I don’t want a random roommate. Something like a sibling would be great though!

I agree, Cowboy; I should have just bought the condo and lost the money!! It was stupid of me! I realize now that I will lose that money over the coming years anyways paying for upkeep on this older place.

Wow, Techie; that’s quite a day you had yesterday!

That’s good that the hospital recovered from the cyber attack, Dill. The loss won’t help matters, but I hope they can stay afloat.

Hello Cafe friends!

Slo, the hospital is 100% again. They managed to work through all the problems. It was a terrible financial hit for them, but hopefully they will get past it. I have talked with several folks that are getting up in years and have moved in with a sibling to share expenses. I think that would be ideal.

Sorry you can't get out and work on the cabin again this weekend, Cowboy. Hopefully you'll get better conditions next weekend.
